Donna giggled foolishly to read that Michael had a surprise for her at the lighthouse. She claimed that they had met there to hide from her father. [RIGHT. Location shoots occur on pretexts worse than flimsy.]
Michael went looking for Donna at the house. He has theatre tickets. John told him there was a mom emergency, unspecified. Michael reeled.
Mother urged us onward. Lisa had a fit. Adam stood by, repelled and yet fascinated. I expected him to throw water over her as an interesting experiment. [To see if she would dissolve.] Lisa choked and whimpered. Adam wouldn't let Jamie interfere. MJ tried to break it up. Lisa lost the feeling. Jamie said she needed rest. They wrapped their brains and decided against Felicia's apartment in the Cory Romance. Adam suggested his wicked bachelor pad. Adam: nobody will bother her. Jamie: except you. Adam promised he wouldn't. Jamie took her out. MJ jibbed at Adams pressure on Lisa. He said lives were at stake.
Donna and Felicia tried to guess what it could be. Donna promised to phone. Enter Mitch. Exit Donna. Felicia begged for permission to show her face in public tonight. Enter Wallingford. Felicia went to change. Wallingford told Mitch he thought Chad could be in trouble. ["He's not such a bad guy... maybe."] He hasn't been able to track down the Agent. Mitch said he'd ask around.
Michael phoned the nurse and learned mom had had another stroke. John offered to find Donna and bring her along to the hospital. Michael rushed out, telling him to phone Felicia. Felicia told him where she'd gone. He rang off abruptly.
Adam talked to himself. MJ tried to distract him. He ignored her. He said he needed Lisa to be strong for him. MJ threw a tantrum. She poured coffee all over her desk and threw the mug across the room. Adam was taken aback. She accused him of not caring if she were there and said all he did was talk to his computer and MOAN about Lisa. She said she felt useless. He said he needed her help. She stomped out to be of use bei Felicia. He returned to his computer and pled with the killer.
Jamie tried to relax Lisa. She tried to concentrate. They kidded around a little. She told him he was terrific. He said he wanted to make a fire. She said her family wasn't romantic. Her mother DOMINATED her father. OOOOH. She thought about the stalker's mother.
Donna went up the lighthouse.
Wallingford worried about Chad. He and Mitch told Chad they'd help him. MJ came up and warmed Felicia to be on her guard because the killer liked to get at women who were feeling secure. Felicia assured her she was planning on feeling very tense all day. MJ went to pester Chad about the tape. Chad coaxed a smile out of her. She told him she was thinking about Adam. He accused her of thinking about him.
Lisa told Jamie she could have saved her parents. He said she couldn't. She said the day of the accident she'd found her mother packing to leave them. She'd cried and pled and phoned her father against orders. He rushed home. Lisa's reminiscences sound just like her psychic episodes. She likened her mother to the killer's and said that might explain the link. Jamie told her not to be silly. Suddenly Lisa felt Mother telling the killer to get one he'd missed. Who is it? Crystal Gayle? Nancy? Who? Lisa saw lights flashing and a high tower. Jamie phoned Adam.
Mother threatened to withhold the Reward. Dr Glaser's voice answered her. [Big surprise.] He said he'd do it.
Michael sat with mom and waited for John and Donna.
Lighthouse. Donna called to Michael as she climbed.
Jamie reported to Adam. Adam sent every available man over to the Love Tower and also had phone calls made about Crystal and Nancy and Cheryl.
MJ denied it. Chad went on about tar beach. MJ said she'd been thinking about how they'd dreamed about her career taking her to a swell place like Tops. She imagined herself singing "You Give Good Love" in a gold tacky dress in Tops with Chad and Adam replacing each other alternately in the audience mouthing "I love you." She came out of it. Chad told her he could make all her dreams come true. She stomped out. Adam phoned Mitch and alerted him to the killer danger.
Lighthouse. Donna heard a noise and called to it. Dr Glaser attacked; she screamed and tried to get away. John arrived. Standoff. Fight. Donna stood by sobbing.
Felicia worked. Matthew showed up and bugged Mitch about being crazy about Felicia. Matthew was coaxed into talking about Melody Armbruster. "Whenever I'm with her it's like my legs aren't there." [14-year-olds as plot devices are very embarrassing.] Mitch advised him to stay cool. Felicia rolled up and advised him to show Melody how he felt before she got bored and drifted. Lisa told Jamie the victim was Donna and someone else was fighting the killer.
Adam asked Michael if a tower and flashing lights meant anything to him. Michael said he'd bought the lighthouse for Donna. Adam got excited. He said he'd swing by and pick him up. [Why?]
