ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

July 26, 1985

Cass dropped by the McKinnons' to check up on Kathleen. He succeeded in getting her back up.

Felicia's doing things to 'jolly up' Zane's abode (or boat cabin). He returned unexpectedly bearing something heavy.

Catlin sleeping on the couch clutching a cushion was startled awake by Brittany clad in some form of intimate apparel flinging herself on the back of the aforementioned couch. She suggested breakfast in bed. He said no. "Well, if you'd slept with ME last night you wouldn't be so grumpy this morning." (I don't know. He was mighty cross after Donna. I don't want Britt to achieve her goal but honestly you'd think she'd be a little more subtle.) He told her he was a happily-married man and asked what she was trying to do. She said she was just trying to get a little room service. He told her to cut it out. More stuff in a similar vein followed and she observed his discomfiture with glee. He argued with her about her involvement in this. She yelled at him about Willa and he told her to keep her voice down. She said they'd just think they were arguing but he reminded her she couldn't talk. She was momentarily disconcerted but said nobody'd heard her and she knew exactly what she was doing. Knocking at the door. She rushed to the bed. Catlin let Tommy Lee in.

Zane's gift was a third-hand broken bilge pump motor. He's got to fix it up. Not that he knows how. She's sure he can do it. Money means nothing to either of them. He's brought her a gift from Oregon. A genuine woodsman's cap. She was thrilled. He suggested winter activities in the mountains.

Kathleen: You want to WHAT? Cass: Look in your closet. Go through your wardrobe. Kathleen: Krystle Lake LIVES. Why are you acting like this, Cass? Cass: It's a full moon, Kathleen. Kathleen: WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH BUSINESS? Cass: you know what they say about clothes making the man. Kathleen: Cass, you know, you are acting very weird lately. Cass: Clothes are IMPORTANT. Kathleen: NO. No, I am not buying this. Something is up and it has nothing to do with business. Cass: Oh yes it does. Kathleen: Rummaging through my closet has to do with work? Cass: Your series of articles. You'll learn all about the Lesoleil visualisation room. Kathleen: NOW I get it. Now I get it. Cass: GOOD. Kathleen: you are just desperate to have me go through this, aren't you? WELL, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, CASS WINTHROP. I AM PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF DRESSING MYSELF. I HAVE BEEN DRESSING MYSELF FOR THE PAST TWENTY-SOME ODD YEARS OF MY LIFE. Cass: They'll be taking pictures, Kathleen. Kathleen: BELIEVE IT OR NOT I have had my picture taken before. Cass: Well OF COURSE you have but sometimes -- Kathleen: Do you think I'm going to embarrass you or something? Cass: It has nothing to do with that. Kathleen: NONONONO. You are NOT going upstairs to my bedroom you are NOT rummaging through MY closet. Cass: I just want to check out your gowns. Kathleen: NO. You take one more step upstairs and I will not even go. I will pick my own dress. Cass: I probably am going overboard. Kathleen: PROBABLY? Cass: Don't worry about what you wear. Kathleen: I won't. Cass: I'm sure you will look marvellous whatever you decide on. Kathleen: You bet I will. Cass: Especially if it's that number with the high collar. She smashed him one I think. He left her clothes to her conscience. Cass: Let's synchronize watches. Kathleen: What? Cass: Kathleen, you're six minutes slow. Kathleen: CASS, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? Synchronize watches? What is going on? Cass: Trust me. Just trust me. Kathleen: Now you go asking the impossible again. Cass: It's not impossible. You can do it. I know you can. He kissed her lightly on the cheek and left. Kathleen: What am I going to wear?

Tommy Lee sent Brittany to get dressed. Catlin's eager to guard the lab. Tommy Lee wants him to meet someone at the Plains Motel tonight. Tommy Lee: [to Brittany] Come on, baby. [To Catlin] you didn't wear her out last night, did you? Catlin: I'm not through with her yet. Tommy Lee: You've got to be kidding. You had her all night. Catlin: Well, I figured I had her for 24 hours. Tommy Lee: What, are you greedy, Roy? Catlin: Yeah, I am. Tommy Lee: Okay. You can have her the rest of the day. But I want her at work tonight. Catlin: Sure. Exit Tommy Lee. Catlin instructed Britt to get to MJ and have her find out why Tommy Lee's stalling over the lab.

Cass is making Grant's life miserable in having him set up Kathleen's entrance. He's driving everyone insane. He fled. Wally wonders what he's up to.

Daniel went to the McKinnons' to ask Kathleen to a baseball game. She invited him to the Lesoleil meeting and asked him to help her decide what to wear. (Now she's white-gloved and white-gowned.)

Cass wants Michaud to come to see the Lesoleil Woman but he can't get by Daphne. Michaud is in a funk playing the piano and Daphne's no is inexorable. Cass retreated unbroken in spirit.

Felicia's doing cushions for Zane. He's pleased. They're going to have dinner. She hired Dee to help but she'll be late. Felicia stuck her thumb with the needle. "Why weren't you wearing a thimble?" "Well, they're not really required in this state." He got the first aid kit and was I guess sucking the blood for her when Cass appeared. Zane was discomfited and explained about the needle but Cass was incredulous. He asked Felicia to talk Michaud round. She gave in. Exit Felicia. Cass: A needle, huh? RIGHT. Exit Cass. Zane: That woman. What am I going to do with her?

Sally's stopped by to chat with Rachel before her Washington meeting. Her hair is up and everything. They discussed career and marriage. Sally wants to have a productive worthwhile job and she has a good marriage. Rachel thinks she should think about what she wants. Enter Brittany. Sally was unthrilled.

Michaud's depression is caused by lack of guest. Daphne soothed him. Felicia arrived. Michaud told her he was leaving Bay City. He had Daphne leave. She took it badly. Felicia took Michaud's announcement badly and gave him a talking-to about the importance of Lesoleil. He said she'd always done this to him. She said she had the feeling she knew him better than she thought. Daphne appeared and they both pressed him to attend Cass' meeting. He gave in and said he wouldn't leave. She left.

Dee started in on the pillows. Zane fiddled with the bilge pump. At the same instant they cried OW. She'd stuck herself with a pin and his wrench slipped. Dee: What's the problem? Zane: Well, it's kind of hard to explain. It's highly technical. Actually I can't get this pin to go in the slot. Dee: Yeah, pins are a pain. May I try? Zane: Go for it. She got the pin in no trouble. He suggested she give him a hand with the rest.

Sally decided to leave for her meeting. Britt apologized to Rachel for giving up her job for a while. Rachel said she could have the job back whenever and she could ride whenever she wanted. Rachel went to the studio (having given Britt permission to wait for a ride she had coming there). Britt looked out the French windows somewhat stricken by the spectacle down below of the next paragraph.

Sally got into her car and was attacked by a mystery man who proved to be none other than our beloved Catlin (aka Josh, aka Roy). He kissed her rather a lot and undid her hair and generally messed her up until she protested that the Corys would see them (and in all likelihood come running out with pitchforks to fend him off). He offered to initiate her in the delights of Overlook Bay, place to park etc. Off we go. A lot of laughter and kissing.

Zane: And now this little bird runs BETTER than new. Wally: No kidding? You mean to say you actually did that, Dee? Dee: Come on, Wallingford, don't look so shocked. It's just a few minor adjustments. Zane: I'm afraid I'm going to have to hire her away from you, Felicia, and make her my engineering assistant. Felicia: Oh no. Dee: Yeah? Wally: Hey, wait a minute, I am the lady's agent. Remember what I told you when you got that job being dunked? You have to negotiate. Dee: Okay. Go to it, agent. Wally: She has to be called CHIEF ENGINEER. Zane: You got it. Wally: She also needs a limousine to pick her up and drop her off at her apartment. Zane: You don't got it. Wally: Well, a sedan to pick her up -- Felicia: Oh, stop it Wally. Wally: A compact. Zane: Nope. Wally: A motor scooter. Felicia: Wally. Wally: Well how about bus fare then? Zane: Okay. Okay. Now you beat me down. Bus fare. Dee: Now is this an agent, or what? Zane: Yeah, he's tough all right. Wally: You've just got to know what people want and how badly they want it. After that it's just simple mathematics. Felicia: Yeah, you're simple all right. Wally asked about Cass. Felicia told him he'd chosen Kathleen as the Lesoleil Woman and she thought Cass was getting smart and this would do the trick for their relationship. Wally wanted to go and watch but Felicia said she shouldn't have told them even and one extra person could mess it up (and I thought good grief Daniel).

Cass told Daphne he hoped she hadn't spoiled the surprise and told Michaud he'd found HER.

MJ met Britt at the Corys' as arranged. Britt delivered her message and fled when Jamie appeared. He couldn't believe MJ was there to see him. He hugged her and she said nothing to the contrary but he could be suspicious.

Cass reminded Grant about the lights.

Michaud has figured Cass out on his own (the discovery but not the discovered).

Cass called Kathleen to pester her about the time.

Sally is now rather dishevelled. Catlin's not sure not getting the Washington job would be so awful. She doesn't know. Sally: Come on. I have to go and fix my hair and my makeup. Catlin: I'll tell you what. I'll drop you off at the side entrance. That way you can sneak into the ladies room. Sally: Good idea. Catlin: You are so beautiful in the moonlight. You positively GLOW. Sally: You make me glow. Kissing. Catlin: Are you sure we have to go? Sally: We have to go. Catlin: I just wish we could stay like this. Sally: We'll have so much time together. You just make sure you get yourself home to me SAFE. Catlin: You've got it. I love you too much to lose you. Kissing. Sally: (laughing) Drive. Catlin: (resignedly) Drive. Next stop -- the Northwoods Inn (and then I KNEW. Michaud will see her rather than Kathleen. Ho yuss.)

Zane and Felicia left alone are happy. He kissed her.

Jimmy fed Britt a grape. When he left she spit it out whole. She heard him tell Polo he'd had Willa wasted.

Kathleen entered on cue with Daniel but Sally entering just behind positively glowing eclipsed her totally in Michaud's eyes. "You HAVE found her," said he.
