ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

February 26, 1985

Cass is convinced that Dee is depressed because she lacks Frankie. He's going to try to find him to see if it will cheer her up. Kathleen doesn't think it's a good idea. Cass does.

Perry thinking about Carl.

Mac offering himself in Rachel's place. He demanded speech with Rachel. They mutually affirmed their love. Mac said he'd get her out. Carl took the phone again. Mac offered himself again. Carl hung up. MJ dashed in and said they'd managed to trace the call.

Felicia and Kathleen told Cass it was a dumb idea. Wallingford sided with Cass. Kathleen is going with Cass "to see him charm someone with purple hair." Felicia says Dee will regress.

Rachel thinks Carl dialed too many numbers for a local call. Carl has a weird device.

MJ told Mac to sit tight.

Nancy wishes she could do something to help Rachel.

Sandy's at the hospital.

Blaine wants Nancy to watch the kids while she goes after him.

Felicia got a call saying that Carl's alive. She's in shock. Dee's asking questions. Wallingford's trying to keep her quiet. Felicia said she'd loved him. Dee said she should write it up. Felicia left. Dee's fascinated by the concept of sleeping with a murderer. Wallingford told her she should be more sensitive to people. Dee was instantly contrite. She asked where Cass & Kathleen were. Wallingford refused to spoil the surprise. Dee was thrilled but tried to appear sane.

The trace led to an Oklahoma diner. Dead end. Mac took fits. Bill Hunter explained Carl's device. Mac's frustrated. MJ thinks someone should try to reason with Carl. Mac says Carl's too nuts for that to work. But they'll find a way.

Cass & Kathleen at the Danceteria where Frankie works. Cass approached a sinister and nasty person. Said he was looking for Frankie. Cass gave them $5 to find Frankie. The sinister person asked Kathleen to dance. (There is another person with him called Rocky. He's called Peacock and persists in calling Cass GRACE.) Kathleen panicked and claimed to be hundemüde. Peacock then asked Grace to dance.

Rachel talking to an absent Carl. Getting a little hysterical. Raving about her children. Carl called her a stupid woman and said he understood. Talked about his father. And his son.

Felicia visiting Perry armed with chocolate-covered cherries. He said he didn't want to care about Carl. She said he had to deal with it and she was his friend. She invited him to see Beverly Hills Cop.

Frankie denied knowing a Dee or any form of Deirdre Evans. Cass and Kathleen described her to him. He identified her as Popcorn. They said she wanted to see him. He was wary. Cass gave him $20 with the promise of another $20 afterwards.

Blaine doesn't like Sandy being at the hospital at a time like this. She tried to be biting with Sandy. Sandy says his job is important too. Blaine raved about Sandy getting wrapped up in his work and neglecting his family. Sandy decided to call it a day and go home to be with Mac.

Wallingford called Dee a lady. Cass & Kathleen arrived. Frankie was presented.

Rachel falling to bits.

Mac plotting. Sandy advised him to get some rest.

Dee talking with Frankie. Sticking up for Cass & Kathleen. Frankie chattering on (showing us how far Dee's come). She told him about debbing. He asked her to come to the Danceteria. She said she shouldn't. He asked why they didn't call her Popcorn any more. She said it just wasn't her name any more. Frankie was going to leave when Cass dashed in with hot chocolate. He suggested a longer visit. Dee said it was all right. Tony arrived. He was unthrilled. He took Cass & Kathleen aside and said it was all over. He told Dee no more lessons with Cass.

Amanda wants to talk to Rachel when she calls. Those in the know are trying to keep the truth from the children. Amanda said Nancy'd gone out. Ada sounded worried.

Nancy looking for Perry. Gasp choke muffled scream.
