ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 24, 1986

Rachel advised Brittany not to kidnap her baby. Brittany yelled at her and told her she was going to.

MJ told Kathleen not to show Father O'Connor to her mother yet.

Michael and Reginald yelled at each other. Mary burst in and scolded them, telling them to stop behaving like children. Victoria told her Reginald had given her a Corporation. Mary was shocked. She told them she was disappointed in them for involving Victoria. Michael said he didn't want Victoria involved with Reginald at all.

MJ feels Vince is coming unhinged. Kathleen remained firm. Father O'Connor assured MJ he'd make certain the Mary thing was handled well. Cass took Adam aside and asked him to keep an eye on MJ. Adam was only too glad.

Rachel is sensitive on the subject of kidnapping. Brittany told her Peter was cruel and sadistic and she couldn't take it anymore. Rachel agreed to let her and Mitch plot in secret. Mitch took Brittany's gun from her purse.

Mary tore up the paper giving Victoria the company and told her it was what was best for her. Michael agreed. Victoria* sulked. Michael told her he wanted her to learn to be responsible. He took her aside for a chat. Mary warned Reginald not to involve the children in his quarrel with Michael. Exit Mary. Enter Bridget. Reginald made certain Bridget hadn't spilled the beans regarding Kathleen's telephone call. He and Mary are not at 'ome should Father O'Connor or any McKinnons call. He has her scared silly.

Adam went around in circles singing in Italian. He seemed a trifle shaky on some notes, but he had a really good grasp of the words. ("La donna e mobile," he sang. "La donna e mobile. La donna e mobile. La donna e mobile." . Etc.) He then shoved some form of pasta at her and said "Bella signorina, [something I couldn't catch] mangiare." He had to translate. She accepted. They're glad to be hanging out together. He tried to make her feel better about her father. He told her he admired her for worrying about her family but she had to worry about herself too. He said if she didn't do it someone else would have to. He insisted on feeding her. She told him he was a terrific guy. He told her she was very special to him.

Brittany begged Mitch to let her have the gun back. He told her having the gun would only cause trouble. She agreed not to take it. He told her the difference between what she was doing and what he had done was Rachel had loved Matthew and Peter didn't love Peter Reginald. He warned her she would never be able to come back or contact anyone who could be traced. She left to pack. Rachel appeared and said she had to call the police .

Michael told Victoria she was being used. She sulked. He suggested she go think about it. He chatted amicably with Marissa. Reginald dashed in to take her out to look at the newly arrived horses.

Scott took Cheryl back to the gazebo to look for his keys.

Mary warned Reginald she wasn't sure she was staying in the Love house. The sounds of Bridget telling Father O'Connor Mary was not at home drifted up to Mary's ears. Reginald helped cover for her. Mary insisted on being allowed to visit with her daughter. Upon being introduced to the priest she immediately made the connection to confession and guessed he was there to tell her how bad she was.

Rachel and Mitch argued. She told him Brittany should get her baby through the System. He explained the difference in their situations. She calmed down a little and said she wouldn't call the police. Brittany popped back in to thank Mitch.

The dark spooks Cheryl. Scott teased her a little. She gibbered and threw herself into his arms at the slightest sound. He told her about the ghost of Blue Feather supposed to haunt the area during the full moon. He denied having made it up.

Adam told MJ he had stayed in Bay City because he would have been miserable without her. He said he felt close to her and like they needed each other. She changed the subject. He said he just wanted to tell her how he felt and hoped that someday she would feel the same way. He said he wanted them to spend more time alone together and he had a surprise. When she tried to find out what it was he started singing again.

Father O'Connor told Mary she'd told him Reginald was deeply in love with her and she couldn't stop herself. She felt guilty. He said he thought they should stop. She insisted that they continue. He told her there was more but she couldn't hear it today. He left. She berated herself.

Scott found his keys. Cheryl was made extremely nervous by the hooting of an owl. Scott asked her to come to his father's Halloween party. She suggested they go for cocoa.

Brittany's car was blocked by another car. She honked her horn and yelled out the window at the big tall man with his face in shadow.

Mary pursued Father O'Connor and begged him to tell her the whole of it now. She said she wanted to know what kind of woman Mary McKinnon really was.

* Do you know I don't think of her as Vic anymore. When she was Ellen I could when space and time demanded, but I can't now.
