MJ was struck dumb. She opened the box. Adam asked her to marry him.
Scott and Cheryl told Vince they wanted to be together. Cheryl was a little more hesitant than Scott. Vince seemed strange.
Donna fretted and screamed at the slightest sound. Mitch decided they should hide.
Capt Delaney and Ada were surprised to see Peter flee without his coat. They spotted Michael in the kitchen and rushed to him. He kept repeating Donna's name. He said they had to get her. He managed to tell them what had happened. He left with Captain Delaney to rescue her.
Adam started gibbering. He sounded nervous. MJ said it was the most beautiful ring she'd ever seen and let him put it on her finger.
Vince started raving. Scott attempted to reason with him. Cheryl asked for his approval. Vince asked to talk to Cheryl alone. They went to their room.
Michael demanded a helicopter. [He had experience in Nam, he said.]
MJ yelled out the door that she and Adam were engaged. He asked for a date. She suggested May. She said she wanted a big spring wedding because she was SICK OF SNOW. Suddenly she killed the snowman and told Adam she wanted them to find a private place somewhere else and she didn't want to return to the Pinetree Inn ever again. They have to make do with it for now, though.
Cheryl told Vince she loved Scott. He conceded that they loved each other but said they were young. He told her his five-and-dime story. He used to give her and MJ and Kathleen a dollar each and she'd spend it on the first thing that caught her fancy and then decide later she would rather have had something else. He advised her to shop around. He said he and Mary had been married too young. He pointed out that Scott was a Love.
Peter arrived home and reported to his father. That Old Carrot told him what a jerk he was. Nicole overheard them and started yelling at them.
Mitch pulled a gun on the crew. Donna and Sara helped tie them up. Mitch said he was going to find Dirk. Donna was not thrilled.
Adam said his parents would be thrilled. MJ said her family would be thrilled. They practiced calling each other husband and wife. He asked what name she wanted. She threatened MJ McCory-Kinnon. He threatened to take the ring back. Heavy breathing. She went to shower. He pursued her. [He called her lucky. I've noticed this before. I don't think I want to know.] She attempted to fight him off.
Cheryl ran into Scott. He asked what Vince had said. She told him she couldn't be with him yet.
Donna heard a helicopter and voices. She shot at Michael by mistake and was surprised when he wasn't shot. He told her she couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. They kissed a lot. Mitch appeared and said he hadn't been able to catch Dirk.
Reginald told Peter what a jerk he was. Nicole's fits went unheeded. Reginald told Peter to get out of town for a bit.
Cheryl was unable to make Scott see reason. She told him she needed time to grow up and be Sure. He assured her she was grown up. She wept. He sulked. She said she agreed with Vince that she was too young. Scott reminded her of everything he'd done for her and Vince. She told him she loved him. He said he loved her. He tried to convince her she didn't need Vince's approval. He said he'd helped Vince for her and if she loved him she'd do this for him. [But he doesn't mean to say she owes him or anything.] She said they had to talk. He said everything had been said and left.
That Old Carrot was mean to Peter. Peter warned Nicole not to tell anyone what she'd heard. She smacked him and told him he'd never order her around again. He left. She turned on Reginald. She told him Vince had been cured.
Michael took Donna back to the stables. He said they'd take care of Peter tomorrow. But tonight we love, eh?
Scott and Cheryl brooded. He drove off at a high speed.
That Old Carrot said some enemy other than Vince must have attacked him. Nicole told him off. She said she'd lost all respect for him and he was no longer her father.
