Michael spotted an air vent with a jagged edge. They wiggled over to it to try to cut their ropes.
MJ said "how dare you do this to me?"
Mary fretted. Ada calmed her down. Mary phoned directory assistance to get Bernie's phone number.
Scott and Cheryl tried to help Vince out. Actually it was mostly Scott. Cheryl just stood there begging him to do something.
MJ and Adam were both startled to find she was aiming a gun at him. She was also a little relieved, I think. She apologized profusely. He seemed concerned. She begged him not to be angry. He said he wasn't angry [calling her honey] but worried. She assured him she was fine. He asked what was wrong. He was very concerned. She wouldn't let him go outside to look around. She said she thought she'd seen a man and she hadn't recognized him in the cabin. He apologized for having frightened her. He asked why she'd changed rooms. She didn't tell him she'd been told he'd switched them. She told him she was glad he was there. Chad looked through the window as they embraced.
Donna and Michael heard them locking Mitch up next door. Michael was pleased. They're playing into his hands.
Married phoned Bernie's number and got the sheriff. He told her they didn't know what had happened to anyone. She worried.
Scott helped Vince.
Kissing. MJ and Adam got cozy. She told him she'd missed him. He asked her to live without him a little while he showered and unpacked. After that he has something to talk about. Something important and significant. She asked for a hint. He told her it had nothing to do with artichokes and fled. She insisted on going for a walk foraging for sandwiches even though he didn't think it was a good idea. The snowman no longer was wearing Chad's scarf. Chad appeared holding it.
Michael and Mitch conversed in whispers. They brought each other up to date. Michael got an idea. He told Donna to scream and pretend she was sick. She was reluctant but she did it. Someone came. Michael convinced them to take Donna away because she was so sick. They did. Michael got free and picked Mitch's lock.
Bernie suddenly gave up and cleared Vince's name very nicely. Vince asked Scott why he'd been trying to clear his name. Cheryl said he'd been looking for the truth all along. Scott and Vince are friends.
MJ yelled Chad. He sniffed adorably and told her that it hurt him to see her and Adam together. She pointed out that he had rented her out to other men and he [still sniffing] claimed that had hurt too. She assured him she would have shot him dead if he had been waiting for her in the cabin. He said he was flattered to see search passion. She threatened to destroy him.
Sara poured drinks for herself and for Dirk [the sleaze] and behaved in a generally disgusting fashion. She found out that there were plans to silence Mitch and Michael. She tried to convince him that he would only get himself in trouble. They brought Donna in moaning and groaning.
Michael freed Mitch. He asked Mitch if he could stop the boat. Mitch said he'd see what he could do with his newfound fuel line knowledge. Someone cruised through and Michael had to hide in a cubbyhole while Mitch pretended to be tied up. Then they prepared to go.
Nancy phoned apartment ads, not noticing someone lurking. Peter appeared and sat down to wait for Peggy. Cheryl phoned and told Mary what had happened. Mary wept with relief. Ada talked to Vince. Mary talked to Vince. He asked about Maisie. Mary was unable to continue. Ada told Vince about the murder. He was distressed.
Michael donned a diving suit and prepared to swim for it.
The people in Mary's Place rejoiced with Captain Delaney. Peggy arrived. Peter asked her a hypothetical question about kidnapping. Mary relapsed into gloom or something about having to work with Vince.
Vince told Scott and Cheryl about Maisie. Scott asked to talk to Cheryl alone. He asked her to stay in Colorado with him for a few days. He said he was ready to make a commitment to her.
MJ told Adam she didn't want to go back to Bay City. She asked if he were mad at her. He admitted her explanation about Linda didn't make sense. She swore up and down that it was true. He assured her he trusted her. She said she trusted him. He said they didn't have to hide anything. He said he had a surprise.
Sara and Donna got Dirk drunk. Sara called him big fella. He said they were his women. They got his gun when he passed out. Mitch came in and said Michael was swimming to the Coast Guard.
Cheryl worried about Vince. She admitted she wanted to stay with him. Enter Vince. Scott put his case to him.
"This is for trust. This is for love. This is forever." Adam shoved a ring box at MJ.
Donna worried about Michael. They heard someone coming.
The phone at Mary's Place went dead. The charges against Vince have been dropped. Captain Delaney decided to leave. Michael staggered into the kitchen and collapsed. Peter scrounging for coffee caught sight of him although no one else did.
