ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

April 24, 1985

Kathleen told Peter he was scum and threw him out of her office.

Felicia tried unsuccessfully to prevent Cass from seeing Brava. He exploded and dashed out.

Clarice asked Brittany to get the door. Catlin called out cheerily "Faith and begorrah if it isn't--" and stopped when he saw who it was. Shocked like.

Wally ran into Zane in Smiley's. Zane seems to be rich beyond my wildest dreams but he doesn't want Wally to spread it around. Zane likes Bay City. Wally reminded him Catlin and Sally had saved his life.

Sally and Kevin went up to the cabin. Sally was coerced into giving Kevin presents. Irish mittens and a little double-decker bus. And something from Catlin he'll have to wait for.

Catlin kept saying Brittany couldn't be alive. Clarice kept telling him to sit down but he maintained a stunned uprightness. He asked Brittany why after all this time. Clarice explained she'd been deafened. Clarice also explained about Zane. Catlin doesn't seem too thrilled with Zane. He's incredulous and still stunned.

The airport security folk are still giving Liz a hard time.

Cass burst into Kathleen's office and yelled at her. She put the blame where it belongs but the he doesn't believe her and he said he'd sue her. He made nasty remarks about her methods, "Out with Peter one night and Jamie the next night and screw Cass to the wall for quick buck." She tried to be reasonable and suggested they talk but he said he never wanted to talk to her again and stomped out as Felicia appeared.

Clarice told Catlin she thought Brittany wanted a hug. He made no movement to do this for quite some time. Britt's breath has quickened and Clarice explained she thought she was happy to see him. Catlin said he was happy to see her and sorry for what had happened. Clarice told him to hug her so he did but still in a rather dazed way. Suddenly Catlin asked about Evan.

Jamie had Cass and Peter explained to him. He's mad at Peter and says this may be good-bye Mr. Love. Jamie left. Kathleen's upset that Cass thinks so little of her morals etc.. She said he wasn't much better and told Felicia all about Dee. Felicia told her any passionate kisses were Dee-initiated and Cass loved her [Kathleen]. Kathleen insisted there were mutual and Dee had all but confirmed it the other day.

Clarice told Catlin Evan was dead. Catlin sounds terribly devastated and on the verge of tears sort of. Clarice told him Zane had been looking after her and he was a lovely man. Catlin sort of misinterpreted the extent of their living together but Clarice told him it wasn't what he thought. Britt wrote on her pad, "We've found each other. That's all that matters. "

Sally and Kevin are glad she's home. Sally told him not to feed his rabbit fried chicken and started trying to track down Aunt Liz.

Liz demanded and was granted a phone call. She called the cabin just after Sally went outside with Kevin to play with the bunny.

Zane arrived and explained to Catlin they hadn't been able to find him and about Aunt Liz. Catlin said Aunt Liz was well-intentioned but misguided. Britt's still thrilled to be with him again. Just when I was beginning to fear he was still madly in love with her (he kept saying he was glad to see her too although not ecstatically) he asked how long the both of them intended to stay in Bay City. (The right attitude: well you've found me now you can go away again.) Britt said she wanted him to leave with her.

Jamie yelled at Peter for being obnoxious. He told him no matter how silly he thought Kathleen was being he was to abide by her editorial decisions. Liz called Jamie and told him if he saw Sally he was to send her to the cabin. Peter naturally listened very carefully to Jamie's end of the conversation (luckily Jamie made it easy for him, kindly repeating all of the instructions). Jamie left telling Peter he'd likely be fired after he [Jamie] talked to Mac. Peter promptly called the cabin. He told Sally to stay put he's coming to talk to her about a matter of vital importance. Such scum as that man is.

Cass: I knew it. I knew it was something dumb. But no, no, this isn't dumb it's worse than dumb it's ridiculous it's insane. Felicia: is it true? Cass: that's beside the point. Cass explained to Felicia what happened and said he'd been too stunned to stop it. She said he'd been too stupid to stop it and if it wasn't mutual he should talk to Kathleen. She went out to the kitchen (she'd baked him some chocolate chip cookies) and continued dispensing friendly and sage advice. By the time she resurfaced Cass had disappeared presumably to go to Kathleen.

Catlin told Brittany he couldn't go back with her. (The whole dialogue was lovely touching with Zane saying all of Britt's lines."But I'm your wife" he said.) Catlin said that had been a long time ago. Brittany said no, now. He said she'd been dead as far as he was concerned and she said she wasn't. He said things had changed. She wants them to start a new life together. He said his life was here now and his wife was Sally. He suddenly realized he had to tell Sally. He don't seem to realize he is a bigamist.

Felicia made Wallingford tell her his life story. He told her about the tall girl he loved in Chicago and got engaged to but her family prevented the marriage. He said since he met Felicia it didn't hurt so much anymore.

Jamie refused to let Kathleen resign. He said Peter would be put a stop to. She'll stay.

Catlin went insane and fled to see Sally. He confusedly told Brittany he'd be back.

Peter told Sally she should sit down. (Ha. I would've thought him more likely to tell her standing in hopes she'd faint and he'd be able to catch her. Am I ever disgruntled.)

Cass showed up at the complex. Jamie apologized to him very nicely. Kathleen appeared.

I can see Brittany being very dog in the manger-ish. "If I can't have him no one can. "

If Peter tells Sally before Catlin gets there I'll pull his hair out by the roots and draw a moustache on him in violet ink.

Would anyone care to join me on an expedition to New York/Bay City with intent to kill or maim any or all of the following: Brittany, Clarice, Peter, Mark Singleton, Mac, Carter, Otis, Perry, Maisie, Grant, and Quinn?

Oh what if Donna were to pursue Zane for his wealth? And what about this familiarity?

Catlin has got the right idea. I am (as always) pleasantly surprised.
