ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 23, 1987

Sen. Joe Biden, accused plagiarist, held a press conference. One of the women behind him (presumably his wife Jill) was wearing Gomez' suit. It gets around.

Donna got Michael to leave her and Victoria alone. Donna told Victoria that she and John were not doing what she was thinking and she would likely change Michael's feelings for her [Victoria] if she told him. Exit Donna. Enter Peter. He advised Donna to get things off her chest. She decided to go to John's boat. Peter made plans to plant Donna's handkerchief on the boat so that Donna's claim that she neither knew nor cared about it would be proven a lie.

Amanda went to Mary's Place and ran into Rachel. They got along. When Sam and Cheryl strolled in Amanda rushed into the kitchen. Rachel introduced Ada to Sam. Ada went into the kitchen. There was a crash. Rachel went to investigate. She told Amanda she thought her secret life was getting out of hand.

Nicole's gun is a squirt gun filled with ink. (Barbara Van Arkdale "wears a lot of white.") She shot Cass. He told her his shirt was custom made. Nicole decided to go to the warehouse and steal one of her originals. Cass advised her to wait for Felicia. Nicole called him a wimp and left. Wally told Cass to go after her. Cass refused to go near goons.

Ada swept up a broken plate. Amanda told Rachel she didn't want her cover blown. Someone might take her for a spy. (Rachel: Who would want to spy on the layout department? Who on earth would want the latest secrets about PICA type?) Rachel went back into the dining room. Ada described Sam as a hot number.

Rachel talked business with Sam. He had to leave Cheryl to get to work. Cheryl understood. Vince knocked Amanda down when he opened the door to the kitchen. She had been spying.

Mary promised Michael she'd work hard. Administrative Assistant. Mary left when Donna came down. Michael deduced that Victoria had confided in her.

Peter dropped in on John. John told him it was a sailboat, not a houseboat. (Peter gets seasick anyway.) Peter convinced him to prepare it for winter. He told him to go find the dockmaster. When he had gone, Peter messed up the bed and scattered gardenias, wine glasses, and handkerchiefs around. (Or it may have been a teddy, or something.) Then he posted evidence of the registration of the boat and hid. Enter Victoria.

Rachel sped Sam on his way. He told Cheryl he'd call her. Cheryl thought Ada and Rachel were behaving oddly. Amanda came out of the kitchen and told Julie Ann she could drop in on Sam at home. Rachel came up and asked if she wanted to eat out with the family.

Donna told Michael that Victoria was just generally insecure. She said she was probably afraid she couldn't live up to Michael's impossibly high standards. Michael said he couldn't think of a thing he wouldn't forgive her for.

Victoria took in the scene. The handkerchief was monogrammed, to make it easy for her. She thought about what she'd seen at the beach house. The dockmaster came in. He confirmed that the boat was registered to Donna and had been for twelve years. He left. John came in. Victoria asked why he was living on Donna's boat. She refused to believe anything he said. He pursued her. When he left Peter came out of hiding and packed up everything he could. John came back. He asked Peter to explain to her [Victoria] he'd hired him. Peter said he would. He left. John found a gardenia on the floor.

Someone had let the air out of all Nicole's tires so she didn't get to the warehouse. Cass assumed Wally had done it and said two should have been enough. Wally said it had been only two. Nicole was furious. They decided Barbara Van Arkdale had done the others. Nicole headed out to get her. She ran into That Old Carrot by the elevators.

Amanda declined Rachel's invitation. Tony stopped by to chat with Ada. Rachel headed home. Tony told Ada he was doing well. She cried a little about Nancy. Vince was sympathetic. Mary appeared. Ada left them alone. Mary has come to fetch her portrait. She told Vince about her job. They quarrelled. She said she didn't know why he didn't understand why she couldn't marry him. He shoved the portrait at her.

That Old Carrot delayed Nicole. She decided not to try anything tonight and had Cass walk her home. Peter reported to That Old Carrot and bragged about his split-second timing. That Old Carrot complained that his children never treated him with the care Michael's children did their father. Peter was offended. He's filial.

Michael worried because Victoria wasn't home. Donna told Michael she was a little late. (She Donna. This is now a pregnancy discussion.) Michael was excited.

John thought about kissing Donna and crushed the gardenia.

Vince let Mary out. Henceforth they will communicate through Zack. Vince went and stared at the empty spot on the wall. He thought a picture of the Titanic would look nice. Ada embraced him.

Sam had a go at his punching bag. Amanda let herself in when he didn't answer her knock.

That Old Carrot told Peter he was sorry he hadn't expressed his appreciation sooner. Nicole came back up, having ditched Cass. She told Wally he had to lend her his motorcycle. Cass caught her.

Donna and Michael went to bed.

Victoria was about to knock on Michael and Donna's door when a calico-clad arm stopped her.
