ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 22, 1987

Felicia and Mitch want to go to bed together. The phone rang.

Michael worried because Mitch wasn't answering the phone.

Felicia tried to explain to Mitch that she hadn't wanted to leave Lisa but when he was leaving she got desperate. There was a knock at the door.

Lisa received a rose from Jamie.

Jamie was abstracted. Wally extolled the excellence of 'Bachelor Party Girls - Part I'. Everyone cheered as Adam reached for the VCR.

Mitch found Rachel on his doorstep. She told him he had to go to San Francisco to cover a story about a fire. He said he was busy. Rachel was peeved. Felicia emerged.

Jamie phoned Lisa. He said he see her later in spite of her objections. That Old Carrot and Peter came up. She seated them. Peter asked his father what he wanted from him. Reginald made a cryptic speech about wanting to be a family again. Peter perceived that he wanted his help to get Michael out of the way.

They had to get Jamie off the phone. Adam came over all bashful and said perhaps he shouldn't do this. They made him. He started the tape. Matthew showed up and proclaimed himself a bachelor. They had to stop having fun to preserve his innocence. everyone became very prim and said they'd just been watching television. Adam nearly spoiled that by embroidering, but Wally removed the tape from the machine and Zack set up a cry for the tape of some fight. Jamie left, wishing Adam well.

Rachel was taken aback. Mitch left her alone with Felicia. Felicia accused Rachel of doing this on purpose. Mitch wandered through, getting ready to go. Rachel denied being jealous. Felicia begged her to let go of Mitch. Rachel told her Mitch's history didn't involve commitments. They argued. Felicia became offensive.

That Old Carrot subtly had Peter realise that Donna had become tense when John moved into the house. Peter remembered seeing Donna talking to John without Michael. That Old Carrot made it sound suspicious. Peter asked what would be in it for him if he helped. Felicia stomped in and forced Lisa to stop working. Lisa insisted she wasn't tired. Jamie appeared and said that left her with no excuse not to come out with him. Felicia took his side against her. Lisa was firm. Jamie insisted on taking a table and staying. Lisa softened. Felicia tried to get Lisa to sit with Jamie. Lisa denied trying to avoid him. Felicia gave her a journal to write in and left her to hold down the fort. She went over to see Rachel, who informed her that she had no intention of going to San Francisco with Mitch. Felicia didn't seem to believe her. Rachel took Jamie's presence as an indication that it was safe to go home and left. Jamie enlisted Felicia's aid in a romantic plot to win Lisa over.

Zack told Matthew that they would have had a 'naked chick' jump out of a cake, except Adam was a very law and order kind of guy. Matthew didn't buy it. They tried [not very hard] to get him to stop saying "chicks". Matthew said that Adam was a normal guy and all he thought about was sex. Vince stared at Adam very hard and said he had better do some fast talking. Adam said he was settling down now that he was getting married (I go and sow my last wild oat I cut out all shenanigans I save my money don't gamble don't drink at the back room down at Flannigan's I give up lots of other things a gentleman never mentions but before I give up any more I want to know your intentions. Adam is so Oklahoma!.) Matthew said that why he was never getting married. Adam assured him there would come a time when he would want only one woman. Matthew was dubious. He said MJ sounded like a prude to him. Adam let on he was the only one who knew what a prude she wasn't.

Felicia apologised to Mitch. He hasn't time to stick around. She told him to hurry back. They almost got carried away but Felicia told him he had to go.

The party was surprised to see Rachel return. She made Matthew go to bed. Everybody else packed up and left. Adam thanked Mac for being avuncular.

Felicia went back up to Tops and shrieked with Lisa about what had almost happened. That Old Carrot said that virtue was pretty much its own reward but Peter said it wasn't enough. Reginald said he'd pay him when he got results. Peter was suspicious. Felicia told Lisa Jamie had gone. Lisa was distressed. She wanted to apologise. Felicia insisted she go up to the rooftop to serve a customer. (Oh, I'll be surprised.)

Adam said goodnight. Mac asked Rachel what was wrong. Matthew appeared and asked where Mitch was. Rachel told him. Mac seemed to think that explained everything.

Wally found Felicia looking misty and demanded the details. She called him a pest and told him nothing had happened. They laughed.

Lisa found Jamie on the roof. She was so relieved he hadn't left that she unbent a lot. He told her he loved her. She pulled away from his kiss, visibly agitated. He told her she couldn't keep running away. He said he wouldn't be pushing her if he didn't think she wanted him to be. She said she wasn't worth it and fled.

Mac found out what had happened and told Rachel to admit she couldn't stand the thought of Felicia succeeding where she had failed. Rachel said she didn't want Felicia to make her mistake.

Then sinister Joe and accomplice shrugged and planned to try again. (Why does he want to stop the wedding? I thought the point of a blackmailer was to have something on someone. This doesn't help.)

Mitch phoned Felicia from the airport to remind her to keep the bed warm.
