ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 20, 1985

Choppity chop chop chop. Our hero.

Carl heard Marley lurking in the cave.

Kathleen woke and called for Cass. MJ told her to lie still and everything would be okay. Kathleen wants Cass.

Wally visited Cass in jail and was forced to admit that Kathleen's chances of not being paralyzed were getting slimmer. Cass yelled about how he intended to kill Carl. He's determined to see Kathleen. He threatened to break out. Wally tried to calm him down. Cass has little to say for rationality. He and the sheriff don't get along. Wally asked if he knew any wonderful lawyers. Cass recalled a deadly one, a friend from law school. Not that Cass thinks there's any point in defending against such a ludicrous charge. He sent Wally to call Phil “killer” Dylan [Dillon?], lawyer extraordinary.

MJ assured Kathleen Cass would be there soon. When reminded of the accident Kathleen got worried. MJ hushed her. Kathleen realized she couldn't feel her legs and took fits. Then MJ was reticent about Cass so Kathleen feared the worst and got fittier. The doctor came and threw MJ out. Kathleen had hysterics.

Chris remembered a watering hole of his youth. Nancy spotted a three. Chris recalled a cave nearby. Nancy cheered lustily and they galloped off.

Carl informed Perry that Marley was there and the Chapins Loves and Corys [every man jack of whom is a thief trying to cheat us Hutchinses is out of our treasure] would not get away. He went out of the cave. Marley whimpered and thought about her and Jake confessing their mutual love.

Mac called MJ and heard the news about Kathleen. He has set up a neurologist to evaluate Kathleen's spine. He's on his way. Mac was distressed to hear Carl was the villain. Rachel overheard.

Wally returned. Unfortunately like all of Cass' Old Friends Phil is unfond of Cass because Cass owes him money. In this case Cass totaled a trailer in Key West. Cass bellowed for the sheriff and yelled at him pleading to be allowed to see Kathleen. The sheriff took Wally out and said he'd be having no more visitors for being such a model prisoner.

Rachel got the whole story out of Mac and got upset about Nancy and Carl being in Arizona. Mac said they wouldn't tell Ada.

Chris and Nancy filled their canteen at a spring and sat down to drink. Nancy started asking questions about dehydration and how long one would last. HE DIDN'T KNOW. But not long.

Marley tried to sneak away outside but Carl came bounding over a rock, blithe as ever, quoting something.* He advised Marley to tell.

Jake has but another minute. They are running low on fuel.

Nancy and Chris take great delight in water. She wants a shower. She refused to let him watch and put him on sentry duty to keep the crowds away.

Carl told Marley he was Perry and she could tell him anything. He said he had to find Nancy. Marley fell to bits and told him about the threes. He dragged Marley off to check it out.

MJ told Wallingford Kathleen was out of the coma but she couldn't feel her legs. Wally told her about how much Cass was in love with Kathleen. MJ wants Wally to tell Kathleen about Cass' arrest. Wally assured her Kathleen would be okay. Embrace.

Cass is being extradited. He was handcuffed to the sheriff.

Rachel was unable to get in touch with Nancy at the shoot. She found out Nancy had gone off with Chris so they're reassured somewhat.

Nancy took her shower. He wanted to talk about what he'd said when delirious. She told him he had called her perfect, wildly intelligent, graceful, agile, and sexy. [Chris my love you told Ada your intentions were honourable.] They made a date to see a movie in Bay City. He came over to kiss her and decided to go back to guarding until she had her shirt on.

MJ and Wallingford went into see Kathleen. She asked about Cass. Wally started laughing and told her he was fine and in jail, isn't that ridiculous. Kathleen didn't laugh. She asked why. They said Daphne. Kathleen came unhinged. She said Cass needed her and she had to go to him. The nurse came in and threw the visitors out. Kathleen kept crying she had to go.

Mac told the DA that Cass wouldn't murder anyone and Carl had killed Daphne. The DA is unconvinced. Mac cast up to him the colossal mistake they'd made in prosecuting sweet innocent Caitlin Ewing for career advancement.

Cass was taken to the airport to be passed over to a Bay City cop. There's a bevy of females awaiting the arrival of MIKE E., obviously a big deal. As Cass was unlatched from one in order to be tied to the other he yelled “HEY, there he is” thereby creating a stampede.

Kathleen told the doctor he could do the surgery if he had to. MJ was extremely soothing and optimistic. Kathleen cried and begged to be taken to Cass. MJ told her she'd be in Bay City soon with Cass.

In the ensuing confusion Cass crawled out between a pair of purple spandex legs and escaped.

Nancy and Chris have reached a new plateau in their relationship. They needn't talk all the time. They have passed the point of no return but there's still a long way to go. And they'll know when the time is right.

At the sound of the helicopter Carl hurried. Jake saw them and climbed out. The helicopter came down and he jumped altogether too far.

* Shakespeare, Anthony and Cleopatra, Act II Scene ii:

O'er picturing that Venus where we see
the fancy out-work nature: on each side her
stood pretty dimpled boys, [like smiling cupids]
with divers-colour'd fans, whose wind did seem
to glow the delicate cheeks which they did cool
and what they undid did.
