Nancy thinks Tony is wonderful. Cheryl is uncertain about her relationship with Scott.
Peter met with some of Reginald's men and told them he was taking over for his father. They don't like him. Enter Michael.
Rachel met Quinn at Tops. Mitch is making much of the fact that Rachel is always in Tops.
Jamie is still not dating, although he's eyeing a blonde down the end of the bar.
Adam assured MJ that his parents would love her. She's slightly nervous.
Peter got rid of Reginald's men. Michael warned him that he shouldn't cross him.
Nancy thanks Tony is going to grow up to be a wonderful journalist. Cheryl's thoughts are far away. [Her uncle Tim had a heart attack. Jakes father?] She doesn't want Reginald to die. She's upset because Scott thinks Vince caused the heart attack.
Quinn leapt right into business. She suspects there's something going on between Rachel and Mitch. Rachel told her off. She's upset because Mac is suspicious. Quinn smiled at the waiter. They got back to business. Frame-Harding is no longer in the black. There's nothing we can do. Rachel forgave her. Zack came in and went to the bar. He's not as funny as he thinks he is.
Adam asked MJ if something else was bothering her. She said her father, her job, and their party were worrying her. He assured her his parents weren't pretentious. MJ: what if they don't like me? Adam: well then they're very nice people and they have no taste. He reassured her. He told her he had a surprise about their life together and tried to get away. [When she tried to detain him he started babbling about promptness.] She got him in a hammerlock. Adam: MJ, this is serious. You cannot use a hammerlock on your boyfriend. Ow. MJ: what's the surprise, Adam? Adam: you know coercion and physical force do not make for a free and open relationship. She attacked him until he agreed to answer three yes-or-no questions. She found out it was a thing AND a happening and it would keep her warm. He told her she would get it soon. She's feeling a little better about the parents. He's going to help get her out of the Pig Whistle. He left. [Could it be a ring and a wedding? Could be a little premature, Cory.]
Jamie told Zack about his policy against dating. Zack got a phone call. Jamie talked to Mitch instead until he could stand it no longer and went to chat up the blonde. Zack approached Frame-Harding. They have a problem.
Michael told Peter that he knew Reginald hadn't put him in charge. He warned him he would call his bluff. Peter said a father/son succession would stand up in court. Michael told him Love Enterprises was a large operation and he could make it screech to a halt with one word. If people doubt Peter's ability, it's all over. Peter asked what he wanted. Michael said he wanted the picture by the end of the day. Peter tried to get out of it. Michael refused to let up. Although Peter wouldn't admit it he doesn't know what picture Michael means.
MJ is being nice to Cheryl about Scott. She suggested taking her and Nancy out to lunch. Cheryl suggested Tops. MJ hesitated before agreeing.
There was a violation on one of Frame-Harding sites. And so it follows as the night the day: a lawsuit. Rachel assured Quinn it was just a setback and left. Zack prophesied doom and gloom. Bad publicity and a dry spell. She hasn't saved money because Carter and Thomasina are in college. She can't let them starve. She got a little friendlier. Zack's date arrived.
Peter doesn't get on with Reginald's men. They don't like him. They left without being dismissed. Enter Michael. Michael: I hate to say this, Pete, but I don't think you've exactly got them eating out of the palm of your hand. Peter: you were eavesdropping. Michael: oh, no. I just overheard those two guys talking in the hallway. Peter: well, I really don't care whether they like me PERSONALLY or not, Michael. Michael: don't worry, Peter. They don't. He reminded him that he wanted the photograph by the time he'd returned this evening.
At Tops Linda bugged MJ about Chad. She [Linda] told her [MJ] she [MJ] was jealous. MJ went to sit with Cheryl. [Nancy couldn't come.] Jamie wandered up and failed to remember his dear cousin's name. He tried to make them feel guilty about not asking him to join them. They kidded around a little.
Linda went down to the car park looking for Chad. A pair of sinister feet boarded the elevator as she went back up to the restaurant. She bitched at MJ a little in passing. Cheryl asked MJ about her.
Nancy and Tony chatted about prostitution. She wonders what turns a woman into a prostitute. [answer: Chad.] Tony wants everyone to understand it. They are alone. Ada is out of town OVERNIGHT.
MJ sent Cheryl ahead to get the coats. She told Linda never to talk to her when she was with someone. She tried to give her good advice but Linda accused her of being jealous because Chad was in love with her. MJ told her she couldn't be more wrong.
Rachel came back to Tops and arranged to meet Mitch at the apartment.
Nancy and Tony's evening degenerated into a lot of passionate kissing. Suddenly he realized he was late for a meeting and fled in a big hurry.
Peter searched for the picture. Michael came to the door. Peter heard a noise and asked who was there.
