ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 19, 1984

Grant is all better. Well, mostly. 'Twas no heart attack; just angina pectoris (like Valancy in the Blue Castle).

Sally insisted they go talk to Donna. Catlin said he wasn't sure it wasn't a mistake but as long as she wanted to do it he'd go along with it. Sally: thank you [you could just hear her smiling all over the place. ] Catlin:Oooo! She gets her way and I see a little smile, a little charm, huh? Talk about looks being deceiving. (he said that in a really silly voice. It went UP and DOWN and UP and DOWN and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out he had been rolling his eyes.) Sally: Huh? Catlin: (in the same sort of silly voice but more so) Well I see a little Snow White or some princess in a fairy tale and underneath it all--YOU ARE EVIL (extreme laughter) STUBBORN. Sally: just be glad I'm on your side. Then followed the plan by which they meant to go to Bay City. Catlin left his tracking device. Sally asked to be taught to throw someone over her shoulder (he offered yesterday when his face wasn't hit again). Catlin laughed and laughed and said he didn't think it was the best idea to go flipping Donna. Sally said she wouldn't unless she absolutely had to. He showed her where to grab on and so on but she couldn't throw him. She said he was too big for her. He said things about leverage. She said things about adrenaline. Catlin said he knew she could do it if she had to. (He then repeated that in a muffled sort of voice. Kissing.) They left.

Joyce returned to her apartment to find Ross in charge of Bobby. He sent her for more medicine for his asthma. He kept Bobby with him.

Lily and Tom bullied Quinn into making Grant behave and rest.

A nurse-like person told Donna that her records had been stolen. Donna denied everything but when she hung up she said "O no. Somebody knows."

Kathleen seems to be eating breakfast and not giving the hungry Felicia and Cass any. They're trying to get the book about Catlin published. Felicia said Cass was a cad [the cad decides he has grown weary/of this affair and that is that; / and so he tells her just how dreary/he thinks she is and leaves the flat. ] Kathleen said he hadn't even called to find out how she was after nearly getting her knocked off. Cass: I was letting you have your own space, y'know? Kathleen is noticeably anti-Cecile. Felicia insisted that Catlin is innocent. Kathleen said [in an oh-so-cunning voice] that she guessed she'd figure in the book. Felicia: O yes of course. Your part in this was absolutely PIVOTAL. Cass: PIVOTAL. [you can't think how funny PLACATING KATHLEEN sounds. Good God it's developing into a sport. ] Kathleen said she wouldn't help unless they gave her 5% of the gross profits of the book.

Catlin thinks Sally's battery is dead (they're trying to fix her car.) Joyce went past them (Catlin was misinterpreted as a mechanic). She didn't say that Ross was in her apartment. Ross said she had to give him the medicine before he'd give her Bobby.

Carter was pleased that Thomasina stayed at the hospital so late last night. He said she made him realize there was more to life than football (or words to that effect). Carter was also concerned about her because of the dance. She told him about Hunt apologizing. They kissed.

Quinn arrived at the hospital to take Grant home. The animosity is renewed. He is cranky. He hopes Carter and Thomasina aren't getting too serious.

Sally is nervous about going to see Donna. Catlin is teasing her about that. He admitted that Donna's room where she hid him was indeed too weird for words so maybe it wasn't a mistake after all. They were going to leave when Joyce dashed up. She told about Ross. She told them about his asthma. Catlin and Sally have elected to stay in Crystal Lake and get Ross instead.

Vast rummaging through papers. I know not why or where or who or what. It could be Donna.

After reading the plot portents I see all. It's somebody setting a fire. I'm so smart. I thought I heard a match in there but I said to myself "No. Best to leave it out. It will just be burning papers (incriminating) in the grate." how wrong I was.
