ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 19, 1987

Sam played with the ice in his iced tea. Felicia asked him what was wrong. He told her he'd decided to choose the career over Mandy. He has covers to show Mac. He thinks there terrible. Mandy wasted his time.

Amanda waylaid a gallery owner and forced him to view Sam's painting.

Cassimpostor told the redhead to hide in the bathroom. Nicole came in and was astonished to find Cassimpostor so disheveled. [The redhead had untucked his shirt.] She asked if they could chat. She said she was worried about the McKinnons' feelings. He agreed they should discuss it with them. She leaped up to draw him a bath so he could do it cleanly.

Sam admitted Mandy distracted him. Mac came up. Felicia showed them to a table.

The gallery owner said Sam wasn't his type and fled for an appointment.

The redhead hid in the shower stall while Nicole gushed about pampering Cassimpostor and experimented with scented bath oil. The woman is an embarrassment. Cassimpostor got her to leave. He said he'd meet her in Tops in half an hour. When he returned to the bathroom the redhead was already in the tub.

Cheryl was run off her feet at the restaurant. She told Vince MJ wrote her often. Vince doesn't get nearly as many letters. Mary rushed in with the newspaper. The gossip column contained a very broad hint about Cass and Nicole.

Amanda pounded the pavement, often in slow motion, begging at gallery after gallery in vain. When she ran out, she looked for more in the Yellow Pages. [The little vandal tore the appropriate pages out of a public phone box.]

Felicia tried to help Sam out by admiring his cover ideas. Mac leniently assured him he could take more time. That Old Carrot came up and overheard Nicole telling Felicia she and Cass were going to tell Vince and Mary about their wedding plans. He asked when she'd intended to tell him. Nicole said he'd get an invitation to the prenuptial party. She said she and Cass were in love. He said they weren't in love, they were in league or rather cahoots. Cassimpostor appeared and led Nicole away from a confrontation when That Old Carrot let on he knew they really wanted the trust fund. Amanda and Jamie came up for lunch. When Sam saw them looking so cozy, he made a bolt for the elevator, from which Mitch emerged. He glowered at Jamie and muttered about bedside manner. Mitch suggested they go to his place. Mac joined Amanda and Jamie. Amanda got Mac to admit he admired Sam's work. Mitch accused Sam of being jealous. Sam said he could tell Jamie was more than a friend.

Vince thought bad thoughts about Cass. Mary said Cass was entitled to his own life. When Cassimpostor and Nicole arrived, Vince was not yet calm. The womenfolk pried him off Cassimpostor's lapels. Nicole explained the situation. Vince said the fact that it was still publicly a love match would reflect on Kathleen's memory. Cassimpostor said anyone who thought anything would think he [Cass] was a jerk but it wouldn't drag Kathleen down. Vince was not thrilled. He accused them of cheapening marriage and widowhood, but he was a little swayed by the thought of putting a spoke in That Old Carrot's wheel. Cheryl agreed with Cassimpostor that Kathleen would have approved heartily. [Actually, I doubt it.] Mary believed her. Vince yelled.

Sam came back to Tops to pick up his portfolio and asked Felicia why Mac was with Jamie and Amanda. Felicia said Jamie was Mac's stepson. Sam became bitter. That must be what Amanda sees in this doctor. Felicia tried to reason with him. He said goodnight to the Cory party, stiffly. Amanda chased after him. That Old Carrot complained to Peter about Nicole's wedding.

All right, so Vince wasn't swayed. Not at all. Diane phoned. Vince said he'd call her back. She gave Cheryl the message that she was still waiting for his answer. Mary wanted to know what answer. Vince said he and Diane were considering marriage. Mary was a bit upset. She got sarcastic. Sam dropped in to be nice to Cheryl on the rebound. Amanda watched him ask her out dancing.

Felicia crept up on Mitch. He dropped his slides and kissed her. He waxed eloquent, unusual for him.

The redhead donned sunglasses and lurked in Tops while That Old Carrot threatened to upset Nicole's plans with Peter's help. Peter jumped ship. ["Is this mutiny in The Love Boat?" quipped Cassimpostor.] That Old Carrot said he could do without Peter. Cassimpostor suggested they [he and Nicole] dine etc in his suite. That Old Carrot assured them they would slip up sometime and he'd get them. [I'm no lawyer, but why would it matter if they behave convincingly if the trustee isn't going to be convinced? And why should the trustee have to be convinced in the first place? Does the fund stipulate love matches only? Weak.]

Sam explained to Cheryl that he wanted to forget somebody else. She said in that case she didn't think their dating was a good idea, but they could be friends. He appreciated it. Mary needled Vince.

Felicia told Mitch Cass seemed weird. He agreed. Mitch is a man of action.

Cassimpostor and Nicole found that That Old Carrot had put a detective on their tail to catch them not up to anything. The redhead phoned to warn Cassimpostor not to lay a finger on Nicole.
