ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 19, 1984

Peter doesn't like Carl's interference one bit. He told Donna so. Mark's being surgered now. It's risky. He could die.

Nancy's wearing SUCH a nice sweater. She and Perry are going to go riding. Ben's come over to see Marley (who is currently poring over old photographs in THE ROOM.) Today we're going to learn how to canter. Perry suggested they double date at Tallboys. Ben went down to the wine cellar just as Marley came out. Marley's ill at ease. They went upstairs.

Sandy: TAKE a look at those. Brian: what? Sandy: just take a look at 'em. They'll blow your mind. Sandy has somehow come by all sorts of information about Carl ALMOST ILLEGALLY but not quite. Pages and pages of creative accounting. Brian's concerned about the danger. He thinks Blaine suspects. Sandy thinks Carl's plate is not entirely full.

Carl's on the phone. The girl is simply bait to hook Ewing, he says. He told Emily she may have to go abroad at a moment's notice. (Carl is speaking to everyone SLOWLY and CAREFULLY, as to an idiot.) Emily doesn't want to leave. Peter entered in time to hear Carl telling Emily not to contradict him and immediately leaped to her defense.

Sally was put in a bedroom, still unconscious. She came to (looking somewhat haggard and deranged) and inspected the door and window. There's no escaping Ross. She cannot get out.

Catlin's plate is definitely unfull. Eventually Cass and Kathleen convinced him they should call the police. The police are being difficult. They think Sally just ran away because she and Catlin had a fight (on information received from the sinister waiter.) Kathleen refers to Catlin as her brother. The police say she's not missing until she's been gone 48 hours. Catlin's losing his temper. He sort of attacked (in a minor fashion) the lieutenant. He's under arrest now. (wouldn't you just know it?)

Carl told Peter there were arguing about the hospital. Peter demanded an apology. (An aside that has no bearing on the matter at hand: Carl says he tolerates nothing less than perfection.) Carl left. Emily clung to Peter. They mutually confessed their love. They went to her apartment.

Cass: I'm sorry, sir. I beg you to excuse the boy. Lieutenant: Boy? Cass: yes, he is big, but he's very young. Please understand. He and his girlfriend are on their first vacation together, here on your beautiful island, and she disappears. (Cass was sickening.) The lieutenant agreed not to arrest him as long as he agreed not to leave the hotel. Cass and Kathleen said he would. The lieutenant wants to see their passports. [Cass' middle name is Cadwallader.] Kathleen "fainted".

Carl's talking to Ben and Marley and Nancy. Nancy is flustered but Marley is composed. Demure, one might say, too. (Classic Nancy: Marley, does your sister do any sculpting or -- or anything?) Carl asked a number of questions about Rachel's sculpting.

Kathleen's fainting fit was sufficient to distract the police from looking at any more passports. Catlin tried to leave. He wants SOMEBODY to do SOMETHING to rescue Sally. Cass says "They won't hurt her. They haven't hurt Cecile, and they've had her for months." They wouldn't let Catlin leave. They sent him to his room. (Ja, natürlich.)

Emily is undoing Peter at the neck. Exposing his revolting chest. She told him of a mythical ill aunt.

Carl was a bit down on Sandy for not finding out that Mac was the owner of the company that bought the magazine.

Peter and Emily have been sleeping together again. Peter sounds as if he might propose, given the slightest encouragement. (Peter leads a charmed life, nicht wahr? Emily's ceiling is still intact.)

Cass asked Kathleen why she's continuing with Cecile. She said it should be obvious. She went on the balcony. Catlin tried to leave again. Cass TACKLED him, of all things.

Carl has a collection of Rachel Davis sculptures. He simply must have her "Perspective Of Love".

Cass and Kathleen convinced Catlin to stay. (Kathleen: just remember, this beats jail.) He returned to the balcony. Cass told her she is beautiful. Catlin left while they were clasped in fond embrace and therefore oblivious to all others.

Sally is hammering on the door to be let out. The insignia is on a napkin they brought with the food.
