ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

December 19, 1984

Sally left Catlin & Kevin to have a man to man talk. Catlin broached the subject of marriage and although Kevin did not actually forbid the banns he raised objections. He asked why they had to get married and why Catlin was asking him what he thought, and Catlin said they didn't have to get married and it was customary to ask the man in the bride's family and Kevin is it. Kevin said he wouldn't be any more if Catlin married Sally. Catlin's not sure Kevin understands what marriage is.

Wallingford accused Cass of wanting to help Kathleen for romance's sake but Cass claimed pure unadulterated business.

Blaine defended Sandy to Larry. She says their Christmas should be wonderful because their brother's back (not that she ever sees him) and invited Larry & Clarice to Christmas at the Corys'. Larry wants Blaine to forget about Sandy. He says he's not worth it.

Sandy was caught attempting to access the files. He said he just wanted to bone up on Carl's business secrets to impress Carl. Carl showed him his will. He left almost everything to Sandy except for a little to Perry & his daughters.

Felicia stormed into Cass' room. She says they publish Reynolds over her dead body.

Larry is horrifically anti-Sandy. Jamie's trying to alter that subtly. Mac wants to find out about Stowaway.

Blaine got into Sandy's office. She asked him about Stowaway. Sandy knows nothing about him. Sandy played dumb when Blaine tried to warn him about Carl. Blaine wants him to see the children at Christmas. He says he's likely going to be busy.

Carl listened to the tape of Sandy arguing with Mac on his behalf. He heard another bit this time though and heard Jamie begging Sandy to tell Mac. BETRAYED yelled Carl.

Catlin's depressed that Kevin seems unthrilled. Sally says he'll come around and he's always been crazy about Catlin. Catlin thinks Kevin's a bit worried because of the Majorcan leaving him behind.

Cass was introduced to Kevin as Krystle Lake. The ever-candid Kevin said that wasn't a name but a place (I think that's where he lived with David) and Cass laughed and said it was both, what a coincidence! Maisie invited him to have a cup of coffee but Cass declined. Maisie told Felicia she thought the poor thing seemed rather wistful and weak. Felicia said she thought she was a strong and determined lady (still annoyed about Darcy). Kevin asked why she had a moustache. Darcy arrived. He was obnoxious. Rubbing Felicia's nose in it. Felicia was not quite polite. "Professional jealousy," said Darcy.

Sandy came to see Carl. Carl plied him with brandy.

Catlin wants to borrow Larry's van so they can go ice skating. Sally had it explained to her that cars don't have legs. Catlin's trying hard to be chummy with Kevin. Kevin is unresponsive.

Carl told Sandy that betrayal is the most pernicious of sins. He played the tape for him.

Sally asked Kevin about his talk with Catlin. Kevin asked why they had to get married. Kevin: Aren't things okay as they are? Sally: Well, yeah, but they could be better if we were a family together. Kevin: I'm already in a family. The van's out of gas. Catlin let Kevin call for help on the CB.

Maisie is so sorry for Cass. Krystle.

Kathleen wants to fix up Darcy's book, something which Darcy hisself do not appreciate. Suddenly: Darcy: Madam. Cass: Do you mean me? Do I know you? Darcy: I think you know me very well. Cass: Well, this is a new approach. Darcy: Oh, cut the act, dearie. I saw you this morning at Tallboys, didn't I? Cass: Oh, no, no, no, not me. Darcy: Yes, you. You're with the rival house, aren't you? Cass: I have no idea what you're talking about. Darcy: Yes you do. And the deal is closed, so toodle-oo. I.e. buzz off. Cass: Well, really. MEN. Darcy: They stop at nothing. Darcy refused to change. He's convinced that Winthrop has been "lusting after [his] manuscript." Kathleen gave him the mitten.

Rachel told Blaine to give up on Sandy. Blaine won't.

Carl put sleeping whatnot in Sandy's drink. Sounds of struggling. Sandy said Mac didn't do anything to Hutchins Sr. Carl said not to defend him. They're going for a little ride eventually.

Cass was supportive of Kathleen's decision.

Carl's looking for something of Sandy's. His things against him [Carl]. Strange breathing. Dialing of a phone. I think Sandy calling the Corys. Rachel answered but no reply.
