ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 18, 1985

Day of the chipmunks*. Chris was bitten by a scorpion. Nancy's slightly hysterical.

Merrily we roll along. Carl is a fun guy. Marley chipmunk says he's sick and he hasn't won.

Cass chipmunk sounds like a hyper normal person. He explained to the sheriff that he loved Kathleen and hadn't murdered Daphne.

Kathleen woke up and said "Cass?"

Cass thought he'd heard Kathleen and begged the sheriff to let him see her for a moment. He was allowed in alone. She's unconscious and can't hear him. He told her he'd loved her ever since Majorca and she had to get better because she meant everything to him. The sheriff burst in and hauled him out with Cass shouting instructions for her care & feeding. He ran into Wally & MJ just arrived. Cass introduced his new best friend and confessed Kathleen could be paralyzed emphasizing the positive [viz that she's alive at all]. He insisted Carl had framed him and told them Carl had bashed Kathleen and they had to find him. Cass was taken away.

Chris is in a bad way. He told Nancy what he could remember she had to do. Nancy called him baby A LOT. A lot of yelling about tourniquets and mud.

Rachel expressed her sympathy regarding Evan. She's happy Britt is getting on with her life. Britt said she wanted to have another baby and she didn't need a permanent man for that. Rachel sounds mildly dubious. Britt wants to talk with Mac and Rachel together. Catlin appeared and Rachel slunk off.

Carl is planning to seal Chris and Nancy up in a cave. Marley said Perry loved [PRESENT TENSE] her. Carl said they hadn't loved her since Egypt. Marley is refusing food. Carl told her she'd be too dry for tears tomorrow though she'd feel like crying.

Music which I assume is Jake to the rescue.

Catlin is returning to Brittany something [a pearl] she left in the motel. Conversation flagged until they got to arguing about where he'd bought it for her. All these years he didn't know it was fake. She wants their review scrapbook [oh right, like Catlin is REALLY going to go on his grieving drinking womanizing spree with his scrapbook and then be able to hide it from Sally or risk keeping it where it could be found] which he had at the cabin post haste because she wants to remember how good she was.

MJ told Kathleen she had to fight for all McKInnons everywhere [except Jake]. She told her how much Cass loved her. And needed her. She begged her to wake up.

Donna is the one person who wouldn't be surprised if Cass is guilty [but then Cass is not like a stableboy. NOT MUCH.] Even good ol' Lovey has his doubts about Cass' guilt. He warned Donna not to call the papers in case Carl as ex-husband got her in the paper. Peter said he was inviting Brittany to dinner. Donna doesn't like her any more than usual. He told her not to pull any stunts like she did with Sally and Cecile. ["Oh, so now you're blaming ME for your failures with women." brava, Donna. I don't doubt he would have lost them on his own, given the time and general personality.] He wants to get to know Brittany better. And if Donna can't behave she will eat in her room. Jake called. Donna told him Victoria wasn't there. Peter asked if Jake would add any more lustre to the love family than any of his women. Donna said Jake was a loser whom Victoria was seeing until a greener pasture [viz Chris Chapin, resident at large] realized that Nancy McGowan was not for him. Peter is unconvinced.

Nancy keeps saying "please God help me please God."

Jake wants a helicopter but he can't have one at night. The pilot doesn't appreciate the danger. In the morning.

Kathleen is the same. Cass can't take being in jail. No bail. He's being returned to Bay City tomorrow. Wally assured him everything would work out eventually. Cass needs the news.

Carl is trying to tempt Marley by talking about water and showers.

Brittany showed the Corys the scrapbook and told Mac she wanted him to back a Wild West show. Rachel asked if Catlin was to be a part of it and Britt said that he seemed to be happy with Sally but she could get a bunch of people together. She will prepare herself for examination.

Jake told Victoria nobody was worried about Marley but the Lesoleil people said Carl was there. Victoria immediately declared Carl was Marley's captor. She said she was coming. Enter Donna. Vic hung up and told Donna she might have to go out of town for a change of scene. Donna suggested they check out Lesoleil in Arizona together but Victoria expressed disinterest. Donna wants to have fun.

Britt told Peter she'd go to dinner. Enter Catlin. Britt put Peter out so they could talk business. She told Catlin she needed his help to start a new life far away from Bay City.

O woman in our hours of ease, uncertain, coy, and hard to please. When pain and anguish ring the brow a ministering angel thou. Nancy and Chris.

Arizona music.

Catlin fell in with Britt's plan. She wants him to coach her to impress Mac. He promised her all his free time until he goes to the southwest. He has the old ropes at the cabin [RIGHT]. She was delighted. She rejoiced. She called him darlin' and baby and thanked him.

A weak Marley called for help. In Jakes dreams?

Carl finds the thought of Donna as a den mother ludicrous. He won't untie Marley's wrists to let her sleep because she might run off and fall prey to one of the numerous horrors of the desert.

Someone thought about Jake giving love the big buildup begging Marley to love him.

Jake willed Marley to hang on.

Marley tried to free her wrists. She did and as she tried to get away Carl stirred.
