ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

March 18, 1986

Marley wants to ask Victoria to be her maid of honour.

Mac told Dr Longo he'd hired Derek Haroldson hotshot lawyer to prosecute Chris.

Nancy stumbled in, laden with things she'd bought, to find Derek Haroldson lying in wait. He led her to believe that he was on Chris's side. She will do anything to help. He never actually lied. It's just that his interpretation of seeing justice done and Nancy's differ. She told him Mac and Rachel would be dead if it weren't for Chris. The other doctors are jealous. He goes out on a limb for his patients. He's caring and kind. Tell me more. Nancy told him that Chris had seen patients with his license suspended.

Zane is out of the woods. Annie and Peter rejoiced. Annie said Britt had achieved everything she wanted.

Britt wants to sell Love antiques to redecorate. Donna behaved beautifully — until she found out that Brittany had sold her 18th century highboy for $2,000 to a man who had previously offered $10,000. It was a family heirloom. Brittany apologized and Donna accepted with good grace [in spite of Brittany's intention of wallpapering in silver]. Exit Donna. Britt kicked herself for being so stupid and said the dealer would have to pay.

Jake is wary. Marley decided to try talking to Victoria.

Chris is not as convinced that he'll win this case as the Corys. He told Rachel about the accident. They didn't know. Why didn't Nancy call? Exit Rachel.

Nancy told Derek Mrs. James had an emotional dependency on Chris. And she recalled that Chris had treated Jake's gunshot wound. Derek went on a Jake hunt. Nancy asked him to clear Chris. He confessed that he was representing not Chris but Dr Longo. Nancy accused him of having tricked her. She came unhinged. She threw him out sobbing wildly. Dee tried to find out what was up.

Marley told Victoria she'd been terribly worried about her. She cares. Vic said she did too. Marley asked whether she should have white roses or daisies. Vic said daisies were so Marley. She asked if she'd picked a china pattern. Marley isn't getting china. Vic said that was good — Jake being a paper plate man. She made her quit beating around the bush and get to the point. What point? Ask me to be your maid of honor. Victoria accepted in a very "I expect you to retract the invitation any second" spirit. Marley wants her there. It's a date. Vic doesn't think Marleys as happy about this as she claims to be.

Peter took Donna to task for humiliating Brittany. [for shame! Donna was as nice as could be in the face of such low behaviour.] She got it back though. When told Britt's plan to hold a garage sale Peter called it refreshing. Donna said she hadn't meant to make Brittany feel like a fool and she was willing to apologize to Britt when he asked. She objects to having Bridget clip coupons and shop in the supermarket but Peter's all for it.

Rachel arrived at the apartment. Dee let it slip that Nancy was hung over. Rachel banged on her door.

Marley was abstracted. She told Jake Victoria was trying to pretend that this marriage didn't hurt her. Jake told her Victoria was using her. Marley stubbornly wants Vic there. The wedding will be swell. No hitches. He'll have a chat with Victoria.

Dee slumped out. Nancy emerged from her room. Rachel didn't like Tim. She said she had stood up for her because she thought she could use some room but she's gone a bit far. Nancy cast up Rachel's wicked past to her. She wants to be just like Rachel. The end justifies the means. Nancy started raving and said she'd ruined her life and Chris'. Nancy went out without an explanation.

Jake dreamed about Vic telling him how much he wanted her.

Peter and Britt are on their way. Peters forced Donna to apologize to Brittany. Britt has a book on antiques. Maybe they can go window shopping sometime. Exeunt Peter and Brittany. Having just promised Peter that she wouldn't do anything to make him unhappy Donna said Brittany would be Peterson again before long. [Silly, really. Should be Reynolds.]

Carter told Jake the dream was just pre wedding jitters and nothing to worry about. Jake thought about trying to return the money to Baines.

Mac suggested Nancy be left alone. Enter Chris. Chris thinks he has a fighting chance.

Derek thinks Nancy has nailed the lid on Chris' coffin very nicely.

Vic ran into Jake in Smiley's and assured him she wouldn't freak out at the altar. She's sure once he has Marley out of his system they'll be together forever like it should be.

"Chris. Even if you hate me, please call me right away. Everything depends on it. PLEASE Chris. I love you. Nancy."

Dee apologized to Nancy. A subpoena came summoning her to testify against Chris.
