ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 17, 1986

Rachel's work isn't thrilling Mitch these days.

Rachel's sons and husband reassured her. They think Mitch is wrong.

Vince was not thrilled to see Mary. She said she needed help with a test. She wants to try to remember her family. Cheryl took her side and bullied Vince into letting her come in.

Peter assured Donna she done the right thing. Michael cruised through to be neighborly. Victoria rushed in and said her father was welcome anytime.

For no known reason Rachel is exhibiting under the name Rachel Cory tonight. Mac was extremely unhappy when Reginald arrived, bursting with joviality and good fellowship and "let's bury the hatchet about that silly little Brava exposé thing, pal o' mine"-ness . Mac was less than civil. Reginald was called away by Gomez. They're plotting something. He's going to surprise his family. The reason he's at Rachel's show is that he wants to build a power base and make it possible for Mary to have friends in Bay City if she stays with him so she will stay with him.

Mary gazed as long as she liked at Cheryl. Maisie exhibited signs of concern about Vince. She and Ada banded together to make Vince go to Rachel's show with Ada instead of moping around Mary's Place.

Mitch says Rachel has changed. She used to be crazy, impetuous, impossible, in love, and vital. Mitch was extremely happy with Rachel. He didn't think it would ever end.

Donna refused to ride with Michael to Rachel's show. Peter told him he found him tiresome. Victoria leaped to his defense. Michael dragged Victoria off in spite of her protests. Peter told him he was having all of the locks changed. Brittany imagined Peter and Sara coming in hand in hand and telling her they were in love and there was nothing she could do about it. Brittany was magnificently resigned. Peter told her to take her baby and leave.

Catlin and Sara concocted a story to explain their being at Rachel's show together. She took exception to his claim that she had hit his car. He told her to shut up and stick to the plan.

Greg picked Nancy up in his newly acquired cab which he is driving to prove he's a decent human being. It's his first job. He's turning off the meter for her.

Maisie sides with Vince to a sickening degree. Ada reproached them.

Michael gave Victoria strict orders to stay away from the champagne and went off to chat with Catlin. Catlin reported no one following Donna.

Victoria told Jamie she found art boring and Rachel's work ugly. She didn't know Rachel was his mother.

Rachel broke one of her pieces when Mitch and Felicia walked in.

The critics wandered around blasting the show.

Peter brooded on Michael's influence over his daughters and Donna. Brittany imagined Peter dying. She was brought out of it by Peter saying he'd never felt healthier.

Greg isn't taking the cab driving terribly seriously. He intends to go in with Nancy and when he turns in the cab without having taken a paying fare to pay the dispatcher himself. Nancy seemed unthrilled.

Cheryl invited Mary home. Mary was gratified but said she thought it would be a bit much now. Cheryl was pleased to hear she was staying in Bay City for a while. She said they'd sort of lost contact with Ben for a bit but he was coming home from California. The McKinnnons aren't sure exactly what he's been doing. (I hope he's married.) Mary said she might not be living with Reginald. They are not legally married.

Vince refused to leave the exhibit when he saw Reginald. He assured Mac he wouldn't hit the bum. He told That Old Carrot that Mary was dead to him but hasn't it occurred to him that he might lose her to her children? Peter and Brittany told Reginald how much they wanted him to move back to the estate.

Bridget was attacked by men in dark clothes.

Nancy told Greg if he went taking a couple of hours off so soon he'd give up the job any second.

Reginald bought one of Rachel's sculptures.

Rachel accused Mitch of being glad her exhibit was a failure and told Felicia he was using her. She left with Mac.

Mary and Cheryl get along terribly well. Mary's blissfully happy. She left. Scott waited with Cheryl for MJ to pick her up.

Rachel dissolved in tears alone at the show. Mitch returned and comforted her.

Everyone in the Love house in their separate beds sat up suddenly, startled, upon hearing someone playing the piano. Bridget lay on the floor reciting the Lord's Prayer. Reginald was in the drawing room playing on and on. How stupid.
