ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 16, 1986

Mitch is aware that Felicia only just started cooking.

Peter and Brittany struggled. Bridget hovered outside the door as Brittany told him he wouldn't be bossing anyone around from six feet under. He told her he'd kill her if she told his father anything.

Michael asked Donna what was wrong, everso concerned. She fainted. He hollered for Bridget. Bridget came running. Donna came around. She refused to admit anything was wrong. She made Bridget throw out the tea set. Michael deduced that Reginald threatened him to frighten her. She clammed up. She told him she couldn't be independent of her father and family for him and asked him to leave. He said they could make sure Reginald couldn't get her. She left.

Maisie caught Catlin coming out of the ladies room. Catlin: it's okay, nobody was in there. Maisie: you have been checking this place out for 10 minutes. Catlin: I'm looking for somebody. Maisie: well why didn't you ask me instead of scandalising everybody by hanging out in the ladies' room? Catlin: you see, I don't know her that well. Maisie: that's never stopped you before. Catlin explained that he was looking for the Loves' nurse because he'd known her parents in the rodeo. She told him about the stranger and Sara. He drifted out.

Vince thanked Adam for all he'd done in the investigation. Adam said it wasn't over yet.

Catlin recalled Sara's fear of Peter and his own warning that if Peter found out he might Hire Someone.

Peter and Brittany quarrelled. He threatened to have her baby put in a home. She subsided. He went to meet Mary.

Mitch asked Felicia why she'd invited him over. She told him they were friends. He asked if Rachel had put her up to it. She denied it and asked if he wanted to eat or not.

Maisie showed Catlin the stranger when he returned. Catlin dragged him out and interrogated him. He said he'd followed her and tried to pick her up but she told him to drop dead. (Slightly less pointless than Gary. Slightly.) Catlin dropped him and drifted back into Mary's Place to worry.

Mitch raised his eyebrows when Felicia called him buster. He agreed to stay. She was thrilled when he revealed that he had read several of her novels in prison. (He liked the one about the photographer who went blind better than the one about the chauvinist journalist wrongfully accused of murder with a lady lawyer [Lonely and Unloved].) He said he liked to read and he felt like he was getting to know the novelist when he read several books. Her smoke alarm went off.

Brittany vowed that no one would separate her from her baby. She sat around alone and imagined Catlin approaching her and telling her Peter had died in a car accident. She was thrilled. He told her he was glad Peter was dead. She fell into his arms.

Felicia's duck was burned to death. Mitch complimented her hands. She insisted on taking him to the Northwoods Inn to feed him; he had already sent out for pizza.

Donna asked her father to leave Bay City. He teased her mercilessly when she threatened him with Something He Wouldn't Like. She told him she wasn't afraid of him for herself but for Michael and Adam and Michael would get him. Adam phoned for her. Reginald told her she needed proof to have him convicted. He warned her he'd be angry and dangerous if she didn't have him convicted well enough. She lost her nerve and asked Adam for her father's papers back .

Adam reported Donna's weirdness to Michael.

Reginald told Donna she was weak like her mother. She asked why he wouldn't let her have Michael. He told her she didn't deserve any happiness.

Catlin was raving mad by the time Sara got back from the bank. She thought it funny. "I didn't know you cared," she said. He was covered in confusion.

Donna told Mary that she couldn't marry Michael because he was trying to make her choose between him and her family. She asked if they could be friends and suggested they try to get the family back together. Mary was pleased. Reginald was pleased with Donna. He told her she had to work for forgiveness.

Matthew made life bearable for Mitch in prison. Felicia regrets not having had Zane's child.

Catlin and Sara discussed Joe and money. She said she loved Joe a lot and it was worth shovelling a lot of money into him.

Michael told Donna alone in the dark that he'd figured out a way for them to get married.

Felicia suggested to Mitch that they go to Rachel's show together.

Michael suggested Donna elope to Las Vegas with him. She told him quite firmly that she didn't love him and she wanted him to move off the estate. He refused. They struggled. He kissed her and commanded her to tell him what was wrong. She told him to leave her alone and fled.

Mary dropped in on Vince.
