Mitch was very comforting. He heard a noise.
Felicia saw Rachel and Mitch (thus causing the noise) and intercepted Mac.
Scott brooded about not knowing his own mother. He said he liked her [Cheryl] because she was like her mother .
Bridget insisted on being allowed to go downstairs. Victoria called for her mummy and daddy. Peter was thrilled. Michael (who had been awakened by the piano over the storm even in the stables, natch) found the locks changed and was forced to smash the French windows. Peter was not pleased. The entire household assembled in the drawing room. Reginald stopped playing and sent Bridget for hot buttered rum.
MJ warned Scott and Cheryl not to upset Pops. Cheryl told her she'd had a nice visit with Mama. MJ is afraid of upsetting Vince. She showed her the broken bust.
Rachel asked Mitch why he'd come back. He said he was there because she needed him. He said Mac the businessman couldn't understand as well. He told her it took courage to expose oneself to criticism. She thanked him for being nice and tried to leave. He told her not to be a coward. She gave him a great many reasons she didn't love him necessarily. He dismissed them. He told her they'd had passion. She said they were different people now.
Reginald said it was time they became a family again and he was moving into the mansion again. He insisted on a complete redecoration in time for the Hallowe'en party.
Cheryl agreed to stay away from Scott. Jamie rushed up to MJ and, crying "MJ? MJ? I have missed you SO MUCH," swept her into his arms. Adam came in and LOOKED at them. MJ attempted to pry him loose. Adam dashed to her rescue and threatened to book him (in jest, natch). Jamie complained that MJ had broken his heart but admitted that he was guilty of assault with intent to kiss. They all sat down together, although Adam looked slightly shaken. They kidded around a little.
Felicia warned Mac that Rachel could find herself torn between two men. Mac is afraid of losing her. Felicia advised him not to say bad things about Mitch to Rachel.
Rachel got upset and started smashing things. Mitch stopped her and left.
Reginald is going to restock the stables. He asked Michael if he'd sell them back. He refused. The Hallowe'en ball is going to prove that the Loves are back at the head of Bay City social life. And then a skeet shoot. He asked to chat with each one alone, starting with Brittany. Peter tried to prevent that, but backed down when Reginald wondered why he shouldn't talk to Brittany. Exeunt the extra people. Reginald asked Brittany to tell all.
Scott and Cheryl decided to continue to be secret friends.
Felicia took Mac to Mary's Place intending to stall him until Mitch had left Rachel. Mitch came in so she knew it was safe to send Mac on to the studio.
Brittany and Reginald are going to be best friends. Peter dashed in and sent Britney to see to the baby. Michael came up next. He assured him he didn't believe in his sudden niceness. Reginald dismissed him and sent for Donna. Michael spoke reassuring and loving words to Donna.
Felicia told Mitch to stop making a nuisance of himself. He said if Rachel needed him he'd be there. She gave up and invited him to a luncheon. He teased her a little about the dead duck.
Peter told Brittany he would be away on business and she had to behave herself. She insisted on taking a drive because of a stomach ache. She left. Peter imagined her falling down dead of a stroke.
Mac took Rachel home.
Cheryl is going to get her learner's permit. Scott agreed to go driving with her. He said they needed a secret place to be secret friends.
Adam and MJ left. Victoria pounced on Jamie and tried desperately to get him to take notice. She apologised for being mean about Rachel's work and started to tell him about the upcoming Love parties, but Brittany came in and Jamie rushed up to her straight away. She told him about her stomachache. He rushed her to the ER.
Donna asked her father why he'd done such terrible things to her. He said she'd been too young to look after two small children and he loved her. She said he didn't and asked why he hated her. He said goodnight and went to bed. Michael attempted to calm her with more reassuring and loving words.
