Amanda woke up feeling better.
Nicole came home and told Donna she was marrying Cass. Donna was stunned. Nicole was blissfully happy. Donna didn't tell her Michael was gone.
The impostor Cass speaks naturally in a funny accent when talking alone with the redhead. She has the journal for him. Felicia dropped by with fabric for Nicole and he flipped back into his Cass voice. She was still there when someone, presumably the redhead, knocked. Cassimpostor panicked. He told Felicia not to open the door. The redhead heard their voices and got away before Felicia got to the door.
Donna claimed she wasn't crying but Nicole made her admit Michael had moved out. Nicole did not understand.
Victoria coddled Michael. He appreciated it. She offered to tell Marley he was divorcing Donna but he wouldn't let her. She advised him to let Donna go to John. She deserves it.
Wally showed John the tabloid coverage of Michael's unhappy life. Zack delayed Cassimpostor with the FAA report of Kathleen's accident. He said apologetically that the journal had not been salvaged. Cassimpostor expressed appropriate disappointment.
Sam told Amanda he was puzzled about the reason she had stripped when she felt sick. She said [defensively] she had had a fever. He said jokingly it would have been difficult to explain if he'd had a hot date. She got huffy and ran into the bathroom. He was conscious of having botched it.
Donna told Nicole the whole sordid story. Nicole embraced her. Donna wouldn't let her kill John or talk to Michael.
Wally asked John what the facts really were. John turned away and ran into the proud reporter responsible. Cassimpostor told Wally he was unhappy to have received the FAA report. Wally offered to dispose of it but Cassimpostor did a sudden volte-face [!] and clung to it like a fond mother limpet. Then he announced his upcoming wedding to Nicole. Adam and Mac dashed up. Cassimpostor announced again. Mac was shocked. Adam was more tentative. Zack said Cass was acting funny. Cassimpostor said he knew life was short and he wasn't wasting any more time.
Amanda crept out clutching a tiny towel to collect her clothes. Sam took pains to assure her she hadn't inconvenienced him and he had sincerely been worried about her. She was touched. Jamie came a-knocking.
Michael told Victoria she'd leave him for another man someday. She admitted she missed having a family. He said they could do it without Donna.
Nicole was shocked that Michael didn't know about the baby. Donna said she didn't want to use it to lure him back. Nicole assured Donna that Kathleen was not an obstacle. Donna told her how much she wanted her to have true love etc. Nicole cracked and told her the real reason behind the wedding. Donna forbade it.
The guys toasted Cass and Nicole. John was uncivil to the reporter, who recognized him. Cassimpostor left the crowd. The redhead approached him nonchalantly. Adam looked suspicious. Mac was sorry to hear that Kathleen's wonderful journal was lost to them. Cassimpostor returned and gave him some papers he needed. Mac congratulated him. Cassimpostor asked for the papers back. John created a diversion by punching the reporter. The reporter complained to Adam and insisted on pressing charges. Cassimpostor told the redhead to meet him in his suite.
Sam admired Jamie's dedication through clenched teeth. He offered to drive Amanda home. Amanda said hastily Jamie could do it. Sam was jealous and left.
Donna offered Nicole Michael's settlement or portion thereof. Nicole read the document and discovered her assets were frozen until a permanent agreement could be reached. Donna was forced to relent. They went to make the guest list.
Cassimpostor read up on Reverend William Russell. The redhead dropped down. He had retrieved the journal from the middle of Mac's papers in the confusion. She said the exchange had been timed badly. He accepted the blame in French, using straightforward conditionals. He suggested she get to know his acquaintances and see how convincing he was.
Adam interrogated John in an amicable fashion. He suggested he write letters to the editor instead of getting arrested. John was a little cute, for a rapist. Adam gave him to officer Val for looking booking. He phoned Michael to tell him about the charges and hint he should help somehow.
Victoria tried to talk Michael out of going downtown but oh, those deaf ears.
Jamie told Amanda he'd had to lie to Mac; Rachel had already left for Switzerland, luckily. He advised her [very censoriously] to quit lying.
Cassimpostor put the journal in a public locker.
Felicia told Donna and Nicole that Cass had forgetful days. Nicole tried on a wedding gown in Cass' room. Felicia found the redhead's scarf which Cassimpostor had claimed was Nicole's when she found it in his pocket earlier and presented it to Nicole. Nicole stared.
Victoria ran into Jamie at the police station. They both seemed in a bad mood.
Michael told John he had come down to do his duty, not because he wanted to help.
Cassimpostor returned home. He was confronted with three vaguely hostile women demanding an explanation.
