ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 17, 1986

Nancy told Jake with an expression approaching revulsion to get off her and to behave himself. He said he'd done nothing but behave himself for the past 2 months. Not tonight.

Peter made threatening noises at Catlin.

Samuels refused to let MJ go after Cass. He said he'd demote her.

LaRusso and Cass don't get along. LaRusso found the flashlight under a table. Cass denied signalling with it and said the Bay City police force would save him.

MJ pled. Samuels refused once more. Adam tried to make MJ see reason. Exit Samuels. Enter Kathleen determined to go with them.

Nancy plied Jake with coffee. He went on a treasure hunt and found not a Bates but a beer. She told him she'd learned drugs and alcohol wouldn't help. She suggested he change direction. For example she is taking summer courses in English and chemistry.

Michael intervened and said Catlin would stay. Peter said he wasn't the only investigator in Bay City. Michael said he was the best. I choked. Catlin evaporated in a subdued fashion.

Bridget waylaid him in the hall and offered him money. He assured her Michael had put him on a retainer and asked how long she'd known Victoria. She fled.

Mrs Reilly from down the hall appeared to break up the party. Jake said they were leaving because there was no more beer.

Kathleen ordered a ticket to St Thomas.

Cecile is convinced of her plot's success. She expects Kathleen tomorrow.

Peter stomped off to bed with Brittany in his wake. Michael was surprised. He accused Donna of being in cahoots with Peter against Britt. She denied it. He said he would tuck her in and meet with Mac and Rachel. They bonged; he banished her as Bridget showed the Corys in. He wants to chat about Adam.

Adam advised Kathleen not to get involved. She told him to go to hell.

Cass asked Cecile what she and Gloria had been talking about. They were interrupted by LaRusso et al bursting in to say the captives in the root cellar had escaped. They fled, leaving Cass alone. He was thrilled. Larusso caught him and restored him to Cecile. She refused to let him kill the prisoners.

Adam calmed down and tried to make the McKinnons see reason.

Jake took Nancy to a place with music and drinks. She told him he drove like a maniac Jake: okay, I'm a maniac, I'm a jerk, all right? Who cares? Nancy: a lot of people care. Jake: Marley doesn't. Nancy: Marley cares. She just doesn't understand that it wasn't your fault. Jake: no, it's not my fault, it's never my fault. I lost my bike, I lost my job, I lost my apartment, and I even lost the woman I love, but it's not my fault. She suggested he stop drinking himself into oblivion. He said his future was nowhere. A stranger asked Nancy to dance. Jake told him to get lost. The stranger called him a freak. They made threatening noises at each other.

Michael checked for eavesdroppers (a wise move) and asked to be allowed to meet Adam. The Corys said he'd be out of town for a few days. Michael said he knew. He needs them two as allies. They are baffled.

Samuels bet Adam Kathleen would be on the plane. Adam doubted it but refused to lay money on it. Samuels advised him to keep her out of trouble. Nancy tried to convince Jake to let her take him home. He said she was getting to be a real drag. He asked if she wanted him to beat the face of the stranger into hamburger. She said not. The stranger approached again and suggested Nancy ditch Jake. There was a horrible furniture-smashing fight. The bartender called the cops. Nancy wailed and screamed at Jake to stop it.

Michael has something he wants kept confidential. He wants Adam to stay with the Corys. They'll dine together when he gets back. There is cause for shock. (Shock?)

Cecile couldn't find her mirror. She was annoyed. Cass assured her she looked fine. Gloria told Cecile they'd catch the prisoners any second. She thinks Cass should be locked up. He went so willingly she was suspicious.

Catlin returned to the Loves'. He showed Michael a car rental receipt. Michael rushed to tell Donna. Brittany appeared. Catlin asked if Peter knew something he didn't. She hedged. He asked if the baby were his.

Michael told Donna Catlin's news. He promised her they'd find Victoria and bring her home. He said he'd sleep in the guest room.

Brittany asked if it would make a difference. He said yes and stomped out.

Jake was pushed into a cell. They said there was a blonde lady to see him. He brightened up and said "Marley?" Nancy rushed in and promised to do anything for him. He told her not to call Vince.

LaRusso put Cass to bed and told him to sleep tight. Left alone Cass started organising his life.

Adam boarded a plane. Followed by Kathleen thinking about Cass denying wanting to see Cecile. Followed by an apologetic MJ.
