Muffy brought Nancy more ecstasy and sold her five pills at five bucks a pop. They were nearly caught by Ada but Muffy claimed to be borrowing money. Chris Chapin was brought over. He seemed quite taken with her [Nancy] for some reason. Nancy took her pills and listened to Abbey Road and generally behaved in a high fashion. No one suspected (unless the doctor who is merely a resident is wise beyond his years). She felt sick at one point and called Muffy but Muffy told her it was normal to feel sick if one had eaten and it would blow over. (She also told her when she sold her the pills that guys were going to start to look pretty good to her). Chris told her he'd seen her from the air and she looked better up close. She was vaguely thrilled by hang gliding.
Cass confronted Daphne with his findings. She told him that Lesoleil bought land all over the place in the states in order to avoid the resulting high prices when word got out that Lesoleil was interested in an area. He accepted this in her presence but put of earshot he doesn't buy it although it makes sense.
Dee and Tom saw a lot of fuss about the Lesoleil Woman on TV. Dee made up her mind to try for it. She's convinced with Cass' help she'll have it. She got fixed up and left.
Carter received a letter from school informing him he'd graduated. He can't wait to tell Tom.
Jimmy and Tommy Lee suspect Carter was involved with Larry's escape and the smoke bomb. (How silly, I thought. I wouldn't suspect Carter of anything like that. It's such a Catlin sort of thing.) Jimmy trotted on over to the Todds' in a ski mask with a couple of goons also masked and he asked Tom questions about her boyfriend. She was terrified and said things like "Please don't hurt me -- I'm pregnant." She's not terribly good at being terrified. They tore the place apart and threw coffee about. They left and she tried to call someone but the phone had been ripped out of the wall.
Dee chatted with another candidate (Miss Applesauce '85) who said a large number of catty things about those about them vying for the position. Especially the well-known (although never seen, just mentioned. Like Brooke Shields.) Miss Applesauce didn't seem to remember any names or anything but she made up for that with spitefulness. When Cass came out he took Dee in ahead of everyone else and chatted to her nicely. He was horrified when he realised her intention but too soft to tell her flat out she wasn't likely to be chosen. She went out thrilled after running into Daphne (she thinks Michaud's dreamy). Cass explained the situation to Daphne who is not particularly thrilled with Dee (who (it must be admitted) was a little loud and out of place) About transforming her and all and not wanting to hurt her.
The doctor checked Thomasina. She's okay. The family is distressed at the mess. Quinn would like to help set them up again but although she mentioned this to Grant she was wise enough do nothing more. Carter was furious and wanted to kill them (especially when Tom mentioned the coffee and he made the Plains Motel connection). MJ told him to stay out of it and said they'd get them big. Cannon (her partner) got on the phone to Tommy Lee but aroused no suspicions. He and MJ went to the Plains Motel and told Tommy Lee she'd make the getting of permits difficult for him if he 'couldn't find' employment records. She went to check the back. Tommy Lee told Cannon to keep MJ in check.
