ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 14, 1986

Rachel nearly died laughing when Felicia carried tales of Mac and Rose to her. Felicia was piqued. Rachel refused to take it seriously. Felicia told her this was especially dangerous since Mitch was getting all of Rachel's attention.

Greg bounded up to Nancy full of smug joi de vivre and whatnot. She slammed a door on his nose. He apologised. She ordered him out. He pled with her.

Scott reminded Cheryl of Cass' advice. He asked if they could be friends.

Vince called Mary a slut. Mary could find no defence. He said Terrible Things. She said she couldn't remember why she'd done it. He accused her of having been seduced by money. The carrot appeared and made him leave. Mary wouldn't let Reginald touch her.

Cheryl said they could be friends. Scott was pleased. They were rather ill-at-ease until he said they had to decide what kind of friends to be. Secret friends. Safer, and more fun. (Reminds one of condom displays, but hey.)

Zach propositioned Quinn again.

Greg blamed his dumb stunt on his upbringing. Nancy yelled at him for not taking life seriously. He apologised. She forgave him everything except the name Silke VanDusen.

Mac returned home. Rachel and Mac indulged in a great deal of silly banter to show Felicia how unfounded her suspicions were. Felicia: I love you both and I can't help it -- I think you're on a collision course. Rachel: Oh, I'll be the steam engine. You can be the diesel. Mac: I've always had a fondness for old-fashioned steam, Rachel. Felicia scolded them. Mac assured her all was well. She retreated. Rachel told Mac she was worried about her upcoming show. She's afraid her work is not up to standard. Mac assured her her new work was great.

Victoria descended on Greg in Mary's Place and got on Nancy's nerves. Greg fled. Scott told her she was too forward. Victoria said the dissension at home was getting to be too much to bear. She's peevish.

Vince drifted into Mary's Place looking haggard.

Reginald told Mary he wanted them to leave Bay City. She refused to go.

The McKinnon girls fussed over Vince. He brushed them off. They asked about Mary. He forbade them ever to speak of her again. She's dead.

Mitch was caught lurking outside the French windows. Rachel: what are you doing here? Mitch: I just – Mac: how long have you been here? Mitch: not very long. Mac: if there's one thing we don't allow in this house it's eavesdropping. (There is no need to treat Mitch like a twelve-year-old. Ye gods. These Corys do make a habit of it.) He denied eavesdropping. He said he just wanted to say good night. When Mac answered the phone Mitch advised her [Rachel] not to display her work if she had doubts. She went to get Matthew. Mac rolled up and told Mitch he'd better not come around unannounced again.

Zach is desperate. He offered his services [legal] to Quinn free for thirty days. She beat him up to ninety. Enter Felicia. Exit Zach. Felicia told Quinn she was going to introduce Mitch to other Bay Citizens. Reginald pled with Mary. She suggested he go without her. He was wounded. She retracted it. He told her he couldn't live without her. She asked him to leave her alone. He said he wanted to help her. She wept.

Kathleen tried to tell Vince about the argument Mrs Nixon had overheard but he wouldn't listen. He told Scott to keep his mother away.

Matthew longs to be a photographer when he grows up. He bought a lot of swell equipment for night photography. Mitch told him talent was important too. Rachel broke up the party. Mitch went on his way.

Scott checked up on his mother. He told her of Vince's decree. Mary told him she would respect his wishes but she insisted on being allowed to see her children.

Victoria really gets on Nancy's nerves. She complained incessantly.

Quinn phoned Zach in bed. I don't like him. She told him to get her some information on zoning laws for 10:00 AM tomorrow. He was forced to give in.

The McKinnon girls tried to prevent Vince going out. Kathleen sat on his head and forced him to listen to her Nixon story. He said it didn't matter that she had been trying to break it off; The fact that there had been something to break off is enough to condemn her.

Mitch is moving out more of the trump tonight.

Rachel fretted about her exhibit. Mac refused to tell her what to do less she blame him when she did the wrong thing.

Matthew hid behind a bush and photographed Mitch as he came out of the stables.

Reginald seems to be getting on Mary's nerves. He's too solicitous. She wants to be left alone. He swore to stay in Bay City while she became re attached to her children.

Vince went to the cemetery and smashed Mary's head.
