ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

April 14, 1986

Brittany went into Donna's room on her way past to accuse her of preparing for a night with Michael.

Michael told Ralph he was pleased to meet him, having heard so much about him. Enter Brittany. She reacted strangely.

Felicia and Zane prepared for Kathleen's return home. Felicia is pleased about Kathleen's legs.

Kathleen yelled. Vince and Cass rushed to her aid. Cass wouldn't allow Vince to move her. Kathleen wept and said it hurt. Joyce came and called the doctor. Cass comforted Kathleen. The doctor arrived. The men were ejected. Vince blames Cass.

Michael introduced Ralph to Brittany. He [Michael] identified himself as Tom Caruso, friend setting up a security system. He took Brittany aside for a chat, warning Ralph that if he went out on the terrace he could meet up with the dogs. Vicious guard dogs. Make yourself at home. Michael told Brittany to tell Donna he'd been delayed. She told him the story of Ralph [viz that he had pretended to be Michael for the purpose of getting at the twins' money, and that Jake had exposed him and Marley had been shattered]. She added she suspected Donna was involved. She's enjoying the show. She went to Donna's room.

Brittany told Donna she looked very tacky.

Kathleen still has feeling in her legs but they have to check. Progress will be slow. Doctor Walsh is having her x-rayed. Cass told her to ask for help if she needed it.

Donna told Brittany she wouldn't know high fashion if it bit her. Brittany conveyed Michael's message ["tell Donna to wait in the bedroom."]. Donna bitched about Brittany's size. Britt brought up Ralph [Michael had told her not to say he was downstairs but Brittany was only speaking about him.] And asked why Donna had accepted Ralph as Michael. They look so different.

Michael sat down to drink and chat with Ralph. As time went on Ralph became more forthcoming, especially about their wonderful sexual relationship. Michael wouldn't let him leave.

A Frenchwoman rang the McKinnons' looking for Cass. Felicia took the call. The woman was abrupt. She didn't leave a message. Felicia is having a party for Catlin and Sally at the Northwoods Inn on Friday. Zane got offended and demanded a party of his own [to celebrate his recovery].

Ralph recited his Michael history [with a few embellishments pertaining to passion etc] for Michael's benefit. Michael nodded and smiled and encouraged. Ralph said he wished he could have been a real father to the twins, especially Marley. Michael called Donna. She asked him up but he suggested she come down.

Donna told Britt to go back to her own wing and left. Britt followed to see the show.

Kathleen's worried. Vince and Cass told her she'd be fine. Enter the doctor. He yelled at her for taking such a risk. Suitably chastised she was told nothing was wrong but she had to behave in future. She can go home tomorrow as promised. Exit doctor. Exit Vince. He told Cass to meet him in Smiley's later. Cass and Kathleen are quaking in their boots. Will he bless or bash?

Felicia and Zane got takeout from Smiley's for their private party. She decided to invite Michael to the Ewing party in hopes of interesting him in investing in Gallant's. Chris dashed in to explain to Nancy about Victoria but she wasn't there and she hasn't a phone as yet. Felicia and Zane chatted with him. Peter's working on his appeal. Zane has a suggestion for work.

Donna came down. She accused Ralph of being a thief. He said he was collecting payment and told Michael she had hired him. Donna denied it and said "Michael, throw him out." Michael got the whole story out of Ralph. He yelled at him and ordered him to stay away from his daughters. He threw him out [making murderous threats the while]. Donna cried "it's all lies." Michael turned on her. She fled. He pursued. Brittany followed to observe. Donna locked herself in her room.

Zane has need of someone to do boats. Chris agreed. Enter Vince. The Frenchwoman called and treated Maisie as she had Felicia.

Kathleen warned Cass not to aggravate Vince. She has visions of firearms entering into it. She's worried about not walking in time for the wedding. He said it didn't matter and she would. He blamed her worries on the colour scheme of the hospital. She told him to shut up and kiss her. Joyce came in. He complained to her because he'd been glued to Kathleen's bedside in order to give mouth-to-mouth all evening. Joyce put him out. He promised he and Vince would soon be "like this".

Michael ordered Brittany to go to bed. He yelled at Donna. Soon the door was in splinters. He shook her.

Maisie's glad Vince is back. The landlord is raising her rent.

Felicia invited Chris to the party [hinting madly that reunited lovers were a good thing.] Cass arrived and went to Vince. Maisie told him about the strange phone call. Vince gave Cass a hard time about ringing Kathleen before he'd given permission. Cass said he'd meant to ask tonight. Vince told him to do it. Cass asked. Vince hedged but gave in. He's not happy about it. Making Katie unhappy has its drawbacks.

Felicia [at home] wants to get Chris and Nancy back together. Zane advised against counting on it.

Brittany called Marley because there's something she should know.

Donna said she'd been confused and she didn't know why she'd done it. She begged him not to tell the girls. He left in disgust and fury.
