Donna can't understand why Victoria is willing to go out with a man who isn't even a doctor any more [ he has committed various other crimes in her eyes such as squandering a perfectly good family name]. Ralph called to suggest they do a little business.
Marley dropped in on Michael. She seemed ill at ease. She said she had a favour to ask.
Kathleen told the nurse she was practicing ventriloquism. She sent the nurse to the far end of the hospital and told Cass he could come out. They carried on. She forced him to repeat the nice loving things and squeeze her toe. There's feeling in it. She thanked him for not letting her give up.
Ralph threatened to chat with Marley. He told Donna to meet him with her chequebook. [A sleazy blonde named Erica put him up to this.]
Vic advised Donna to call the police. Donna decided to borrow some of Brittany's clothes in order to convince Ralph that she can't afford to pay him.
Marley tried to pay Michael back for Chicago. He told her he didn't want to buy her he wanted to share with her. He told her to keep her money and buy her first child a gift. She gave in. She reminded him of the airport discussion of her father and asked him to give her away. He said he'd be proud to do it. Conversation languished. He said he liked Jake but he didn't understand how Victoria fit in. She said it was complicated. They chatted a bit and parted on good terms.
Donna was excessively sweet to Ralph and told him she would do anything for him but all she had was $3,000. He asked for the whole hog and tried Bay City blackmail. He suggested they go back to her house. She told him she had an appointment and the house was locked, left the money and fled. Erica examined the cheque and said he could do better.
Cass checked for sensation elsewhere in Kathleen's body. She promised to be out soon. Vince doesn't thrill Cass. He suggested Casablanca for a honeymoon spot. Marrakech. Various other places. Peru. Europe. WORLD TOUR. 10 months. He said he had a little money. The nurse was heard approaching. Cass hid in the bathroom.
Nancy hates all Smiley's patrons. She's in a bad mood. She refused to talk to Neal about Chris. Victoria came in with Chris.
Donna went up to Michael's room. She offered him food. He refused to move up to the house. He told her she cared about the wrong things. She told him she was vulnerable and needed help to change. Silence.
Erica told Ralph she could tell Donna had money. She told him to go for more money. When he said Donna wouldn't be zu Hause she told him to go in and steal something.
Kathleen was warned against any sudden movements which might detract from the progress she'd made. The nurse went to prepare a bath for her and scalded Cass in the shower. Cass spoke in French to the doctor. He was not forgiven. Kathleen laughed. Reporters arrived to interview her.
Michael and Donna are slightly confused. She swore undying honesty. She invited him up to the house to look at baby pictures of Marley. He said he had to call Singapore first. She said he could let himself in.
Chris talked to Nancy. Desultory chitchat. She was weird and not friendly. Neal talked to Victoria. He said he was thinking of applying for the job of love stablehand. He asked why she was bent on bugging Nancy. She accused him of being unduly suspicious.
Cass and the doctor argued about visiting Kathleen. Cass launched into a big American freedom speech. Kathleen burst into song. [My Country 'Tis Of Thee etc.] Vince appeared. Things got confusing. The doctor said Kathleen had made progress. She must continue with therapy but she can go home tomorrow.
Victoria asked Chris to take her home so she could have an early night, as in to bed to sleep. She said she had to chat with Nancy about wedding stuff first. She let on to Nancy that she and Chris were making an early night of it, as in to bed together. Love the one you're with is her motto. Neal asked Nancy what Victoria was up to. Nancy said it was obvious. Neal didn't think so.
MJ brought Kathleen's wedding veil to her to cheer her up. She told her Pops might come around. The doctor told Kathleen's men she mustn't overdo. Any sudden movement could undo things. Cass apologized and thanked him.
Tender Love. Donna imagined Michael coming into her room and kissing her passionately.
Ralph let himself in. He plucked a valuable painting from the wall.
Marley assured Nancy she'd learned to love her job. She noticed Nancy was disturbed. Nancy told her Victoria had been with Chris. She brought up the mine. Marley is certain nothing happened. Nancy apologized.
Michael came upon Ralph. Who are you? He said. Ralph said there was absolutely nothing to worry about and introduced himself as Michael Garrison, père extraordinaire.
Cass kissed Kathleen goodbye. The nurse threw him out. NO SUDDEN MOVEMENTS she warned. Left alone Kathleen tried to reach her veil on a chair next to the bed and fell.
