Vicky eagerly planned for Jamie's return. Jake came over and demanded she tell him where Marley was.
Riviera hung up. Jason addressed her as Josie. He asked how come she'd brought so much stuff for a visit. She said the visit was permanent.
Rachel revealed herself and hung over Ali's bassinet.
Jake tried to win Vicky over. She had a CD player delivered. He was bitter because her life seemed to be in order.
Jamie and Lisa flew home first class. He said they would go home and solve all their problems. She asked if he was coming back to her apartment.
Josie resents being in Bay City. She preferred California. Her mother came in. Jason hugged her.
Mary and Vince returned to Mary's Place. Vince was inexplicably cranky.
Matthew dropped by to see Ali. Sam took Rachel aside and told her they appreciated her help but Amanda would like to be allowed to look after the baby herself. Separately Amanda asked Rachel to back off for the sake of Sam's pride. Rachel picked Ali up.
Vince was mad because the convention had interfered with his vacation. He and Mary sorted it out.
Jamie and Lisa went back to her apartment. They lay down on the bed. She said it made her happy to have him there. He said it was too soon for him to come back and she was too important to him. She was pleased.
Jake played with Vicky. He was a jerk. I am sick of his attitude — Marley shouldn't be left alone to decide whether she wants to continue with the marriage because she will make the wrong decision — i.e. to dump him. He finds it sinister that she isn't in communication with anyone.
Rachel told Sam and Amanda they'd have to look after their own baby because she was going to Europe to help Mac. Matthew got on the phone in the corner. Rachel told Sam and Amanda she'd hired a babysitter for them two days a week. Matthew hung up when he found Riviera wasn't on the line.
Josie was forbidden to use the phone. Jason is her uncle. Josie complained about being taken away from her friends. Her mother is Sharlene. [Sharlene, the widow-turned-prostitute who eventually married Russ Matthews. I never did find out what happened there.] Sharlene had read about his hospital contract and crew of vets in the paper in Los Angeles. Josie had fallen in with the wrong crowd in LA and her marks had suffered. I think she's graduated high school. Jason is glad to have Sharlene.
Jamie and Lisa decided to go out to dinner, after dropping Jamie's stuff off at the farm.
Jake continued to plead. Vicky refused to betray Marley's trust.
Rachel and Matthew left.
Mary worked in the restaurant. Cheryl told her she wanted to be like her. Mary was touched.
Jake found Vince torturing carrots. Vince told him that Marley should realize what a great guy she had since Jake was willing to forgive her indiscretion. Jake set him straight. Vince was ashamed of him. Jake said he loved Marley. Vince advised him to fight for her.
Sharlene aims to fix up the farmhouse. Jamie and Lisa arrived. Lisa was introduced to Sharlene as Vicky came up to the screen door. Vicky made her presence known.
Jake said he couldn't stand the fact that Marley was calling all the shots. Vince very sensibly said that the circumstances entitled her to do so. Cheryl crept in with the mail. Vince apologized for snapping at her. There was a letter for Jake from Marley in the mail.
Sam and Amanda tended to their baby.
Jamie introduced his friend Vicky. Lisa told everyone what a wonderful trip she and Jamie had had and how she'd got the last seat on the plane. Vicky very politely excused herself. In an undertone, Lisa said to Jamie "those feelings are still there, aren't they?"
