Jamie held Lisa hostage. Lisa was not especially amused. She told Jamie the lengths to which she had gone to come to him. She said she loved him. He started up the elevator again. A man got on. Lisa grumbled about Jamie's treatment of her. Jamie stopped the elevator. The man looked startled.
Zack was obnoxious to Ronnie. She all but called him God's gift to warthogs. He went about his business. Jake tracked Vicky down.
Sam and Amanda brought their baby home. They could hardly get in for all the gifts in their apartment. Rachel and Ada were lying in wait. Amanda wasn't especially thrilled. Ada perceived they weren't really needed. Rachel was blissfully oblivious.
Vicky refused to tell Jake where Marley was. She pointed out that Marley was too perfect for him.
The man resigned himself. Jamie was hurt when Lisa brought up his involvement with Vicky but tickled when Lisa revealed how low she had stooped to take Vicky's place in Palm Beach. He turned the elevator on. Lisa said they had a lot more to talk about and stopped it again. Jamie thought she was being unreasonable. He admitted she'd been right all along. She told him she and Adam had never been more than friends. The man they had trapped started coughing or choking or something. They rushed to his aid.
Matthew phoned the party phone. He was disappointed to hear Riviera wasn't there although they had agreed to meet, as it were, but he stayed on the line.
Riviera [still faceless] read in a magazine that there was never any harm in keeping a guy waiting once he was on the hook. She didn't pick up the phone.
Chris and Jason discussed feminism and Jasonism. It was... textbook.
Matthew continued to wait for Riviera.
Riviera [who wears rather a lot of jewelry] decided Matthew had waited long enough and dialed the party phone. Her mother [or gaoler] disconnected her.
Ada tried to pry Rachel away from Ali for Sam and Amanda. Rachel couldn't take the hint. Sam told Ada to go without Rachel. Rachel told Sam and Amanda that Ada had used to come over and commandeer her [Rachel's] babies, oblivious to the fact that she is doing exactly that with her own daughter.
Matthew perked up when Riviera came on the line. She said she'd been busy unpacking. She said she'd been in New York before this and she liked Bay City because it reminded her of San Francisco, where her mother had been in a movie. Actually she admitted her mother hadn't been in the movie but something vaguely financial. She claimed it was hush hush. She mentioned Copenhagen. It was clear she didn't know what the Tivoli was when Matthew asked how she liked it. It might not have been clear to Matthew. He continued to look starry-eyed.
Zack told Ronnie he'd called her at home last night [having got her number out of the hospital directory] but her father had told him she was out. Ronnie told him her life was none of his business. He was odious. He passed Vicky on his way out. Jake ambushed Vicky again and insisted she help him. She told him he had to realize he wasn't a one-woman man. He said he was. She asked him how he knew it wouldn't happen again. He said he loved Marley. She said he couldn't love someone and have the hots for someone else. He didn't buy it.
Jamie and Lisa felt remorseful. They made sure the man was all right and let him off and made-up. They kissed before disembarking.
Rachel rocked Ali. Suddenly Sam suddenly thought of an important baby-related errand to run. Rachel insisted on running it for him and finally surrendered Ali to her mother. Amanda was glad they hadn't had to hurt Rachel's feelings.
Jake asked Vicky about the man she was pursuing. She told him he was very classy and good and she loved him and he would love her.
Jamie took Lisa back to his hotel room. Although he'd checked out they got in without difficulty or remark. They went straight to the bed.
When Rachel returned, Ali's parents had bathed her successfully and were about to diaper her. Rachel stood unseen in the corridor. Amanda made some remark about getting the hang of mothering if Rachel would leave the field clear.
Jamie and Lisa got back together.
Riviera bragged about what a wonderful house she and her mother were staying in... but she's in the Frame kitchen!!! Jason walked in!!! He asked her what she was doing there!!! [in the tone of one who knows the person but is surprised by the place.]
