ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 13, 1985

Felicia told Wally about Cass and Kathleen. HE said sometimes people who belong together were sometimes the last to realize it. He told her she wasn't writing their love story and she couldn't guarantee them a happy ending. Suddenly she said "You're a GENIUS. Oh, honey, thank you. I've already written it it's so simple. I have a PLAN."

Tom's wondering what's up. Carter's cleaning rather a lot. Dee's making finger sandwiches. The thick plottens. Carter told her to get into her cap and gown. Company's coming.

Brittany in a cowboy hat looking at her reflection in the mirror said "Catlin. I have so many things I want to say to you." enter Zane. They rejoiced some over her returned voice. He asked when she'd tell people. She said she had to tell Catlin first and she'd tell him "When the time is right." Zane thinks she should tell him REAL SOON.

Catlin told Sally he wanted to move back in. As far as I can make out Sally's kisses are panacea.

Felicia sent a mystified Wallingford to the hardware store with a list. Gerhard arrived to say au revoir. He's going home to Switzerland. The discussed Monsieur's great style. Panache. And Felicia's popularity. And her special friends.

Brittany told Zane it was none of his business. Zane told her if she really loved Catlin she had to be honest with him. She said she had to do it her way. He said he didn't understand her way and he thought she should let Catlin off the hook. He said she was being selfish and he didn't think she loved Catlin just the memory of Josh. She got mad and said she'd show him and tell Catlin today. She says she'll tell him in her own voice how she feels about him and things will be like they were before little Miss Sally Frame came into his life.

Sally was overjoyed. Then apprehensive in case he completely destroyed Kevin by moving out again. He said he wasn't going to. He told her how much he loved her and Kevin needed a full-time mother AND father and she needed full-time husband. She had no quarrel with that. He also said he wanted to talk to Brian and get his Josh-divorce on the road.

Tom's in her cap and gown. Lily Grant Quinn Dee and Jake are there. Carter's going to videotape the valedictory and take it to the graduation. Here we go.

Gerhard and Felicia discussed the mysterious Michaud. He is much pursued. He is not to be taken lightly. Gerhard left with Felicia determined to keep him in her life. Wally returned with the purchases. Wally: Felicia, I got all the stuff. Felicia: great, Wallingford. Wally: now we only have one problem. Felicia: what's that? Wally: what do we do with them? Look, thumbs, all ten of them. Felicia: well, don't look at me. I mean I've never held a screwdriver in my hand in my life other than a little orange juice. Wallingford: oh. Well, how'd you work it out your book? Felicia: you've done it again. I don't believe it. Thank you honey. She got on the phone and dialed like mad.

Sally was VERY pleased. She had second thoughts about camping and leaving Kevin to spend time with Britt. Catlin convinced her if they were happy together Kevin would be happier so they had to go away. He found out Brian was at the Corys' and rushed off to speak to him after trying unsuccessfully to persuade Kevin to come camping and being too busy to take Kevin with him to see Brittany.

Tom's valedictory was all about love and her family. They loved it. Jake had to leave. He said he didn't know who Marley's donor was and fled. Quinn took Carter aside and said she'd got the canceled check and she was proud of him.

Wally: Uh-oh. Felicia: Uh-oh what? Wally: I forgot a couple of things. Felicia: What things? Wally: Felicia, I've got to get back to that store. Felicia: WHAT THINGS, Wallingford? Wally: A saw? Felicia: Honey, I don't need a saw. Wally: Felicia, EVERYBODY needs a saw. Felicia: Wallingford, Why are you trying so hard to get out of here? He said he didn't want to get in the way. She said he wouldn't. He fled regardless as Zane came in. Felicia said she had another novel for him. He said he hadn't read any of them being more of a Jack London/Hemingway person. He said he was just nuts and bolts most of the time anyway. She said it was curious he should say that and she had a favour to ask.

Catlin asked Brian to help him get a divorce. Brittany was inside listening. He didn't say which wife he intended to dump so I hoped Britt would be mistakenly pleased. Her expression was inscrutable.

Carter told Quinn he'd pay her back. She said he needn't and gave him ANOTHER cheque for a graduation gift. He told her he wasn't graduating just yet. They went to eat. They toasted to Tom and Carter with milk. Dee had to go to work. Carter went to her at the door to ask about the job. He'll be along for the interview in a few minutes. Quinn looked at him talking to her squiggle-eyed. Comments on Dee's sandwiches: "Interesting." "Tasty, too, and a strange kind of way." Quinn thinks [with a strange look on her face] that with a few cooking lessons Dee could be very good for Carter and Tom.

Sally explained to Kevin that Catlin was just too busy to take him. Kevin thinks he just didn't want to but she said that wasn't it. She asked him why he liked Brittany so much. He said it was because she never let him down. Catlin does. Sally told him Catlin loved him and he was just having a difficult time right now but he was going to try to make everything all right again. She told him Catlin was going to move back in with them. He asked for how long. She [stung] said for GOOD. He wasn't sure he believed her. She said it would be great. She asked if he minded about the camping trip. He said no, he had Brittany. Enter Liz. Kevin went to his room. Liz heard about the divorce. [She was at the Corys'.]

Catlin elaborated to Brian. He wants papers drawn up. He wants to know how long it will be before he's divorced. Brian said if Britt cooperated it could be very quick. Catlin said Brittany HAD to cooperate because he loved Sally. He's sure she will. He wants to talk to her himself. She's still listening.

Zane disapproves of messing in other people's affairs. He told her that when two people belong together the only people who could convince them of that were themselves. She said it wouldn't hurt to help. He said if one of them didn't see it there was nothing on earth to make her change her mind. [We see where his thoughts tend.] He said he'd do it if she helped him build his boat. She balked but gave in when he said she could christen her.

Adrienne found out Carter had no criminal record and told him she needed someone to take antiques to New Orleans twice a month. $500 a run or more. He's got the job.

Felicia: Hello. Wally: Is he gone? Felicia: Where is it? Wally: What? Felicia: The saw. Wally: Oh. They were all sold out. Felicia: REALLY? Get in here. She told him the bargain. He called the boat-building thing the oldest game in the book. Typical Zane. He accused her of being attracted to him and teased her unmercifully when he found a piece of notepaper with titles like "The Young Man and the Sea" and "Love on a Life Raft" on it. She crumpled up and chucked it in the fire.

Zane found Brittany in a state in the stables. She told him what she'd heard. She's been thinking of running away, staying to fight, or even begging. She has to be alone she says. [Not the secluded camping spot. Please not. ] She doesn't want Catlin to tell her while she's like this.

Liz told Sally she should be stricter with Kevin and keep him from Brittany. Sally doesn't agree. Catlin arrived [while Liz was off with Kevin in his room] and reported that the wheels had been set in motion. He said perhaps it was good Kevin elected not to go with them because Brittany would see him going off weekending with Sally and realize that she [Sally] was the woman he loved. The woman he'd always loved. This precipitated rather a lot of fondly embracing etc. which was much to Catlin's chagrin almost immediately disrupted by the appearance of Kevin and Liz [she heralded their approach with very loud humming]. Kevin demanded to be taken to see Brittany immediately so Aunt Liz told him what fun camping was and took him out. Catlin: I guess we can go any time now. Sally: I guess so. Catlin: Well. I'll just get the gear and put it in the car and we'll head for the mountains. Sally: Not so fast. Catlin: What? Don't you want to go camping? Sally: There are other things we could do first. Catlin: Yeah, I guess we're not in too big a rush. Sally: Good. Catlin: I guess those mountains will still be there. Kissing.

Carter told Tom he had the job. He brought her flowers. He's thrilled. He spoke of nest eggs for babies. Still the same old quarrel about gender.

Adrienne is in a good mood. She called her boss to say she thought she'd found the perfect someone for the Louisiana run. Dee was in the background wiping tables but I don't know if she was listening or interpreting anything.

Brittany just wants to leave. Zane doesn't want her going off while she's in such a state. He thinks they should talk. Enter Kevin eager to ride. Britt BEING DEAF asked who'd brought him and without waiting for an answer ran off and away from the direction from which Kevin had come. Kevin went to the door and said to Zane "What's wrong? Doesn't she like me anymore?"

As far as I'm concerned Britt can go to the camping spot as long as she confines herself to lurking in the shadows and hearing things she doesn't want to hear. As long as the Ewings don't know she's about they won't get upset. I like her much better with the voice. But I'm not sufficiently moved to say she can have Catlin. I don't know whom to give her. Zane is fine with Felicia but just as a friend for now. You see there's Wallingford. I still think Zane is Albert.

FAMILY TIES AFTER STEVEN DIDN'T HAVE AN AFFAIR: a great deal of fondly embracing throughout. Steven: I want us to do more things alone together. Elyse: did you have any ideas. Steven: I want to go camping. Pause. Elyse: the tent's at the cleaners.
