ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 12, 1986

Fire's out. Power's down. Investigation in motion. Mac rolling his eyes and suspecting Reginald of arson.

Rachel is being made over. She swears up and down that Mitch has nothing to do with it.

Adam went to Mary's Place to meet Miss "my friends call me Shirley" Smith.

Cass bought a florist's shop and sent oodles of flowers to the nuns at St Mary's along with a huge cheque. He told Kathleen he loved her. She suggested he ease off the spending. He told her the throwing vast sums of money around was to lull Reginald into a false sense of security. STUPID VOICES IN OUR TIME.

Brittany screamed at Peter that he was evil. He yelled at her. She wept and begged him to give her back her baby. He refused. She said she'd do anything and cried and cried. She swore to do as she was told. He mellowed slightly. ("We'll see.")

Marissa had lunch with Scott and said she wanted to get to know the Love family. He told her why Michael hated Reginald. She thinks it can be fixed. She decided to see Peter. She phoned and learned Peter had gone to Cory publishing.

Mac's suspicions upset Peter. The Fire Marshall said the fire had been caused by faulty maintenance. Mac refused to believe it.

My friends call me Shirley told Adam Brandon Reginald had started acting strangely after Mary drowned. He'd smiled too much and doled out bonuses like there was no tomorrow.

Cheryl begged a ride from Julie. (Julie who was hired by Mac yesterday is working at the Northwoods Inn today. Gee.) She eyed Scott lunching with his her mother. He eyed her. Marissa looked and said she was very pretty. He said it wasn't what she thought. Just Friends. He refused to ask her to join them but Mary insisted. Scott introduced them. Cheryl said nice things about him and dispersed. Mary told Scott she was sweet and somehow familiar. (Julie doesn't start until next week.) Cheryl told Julie she [Marissa] with somehow familiar.

Big Bonuses. Hush money. Perhaps he was happy that Mary had died. After six weeks he left. My good friends call me Shirley and I know where the Lansing hotel is.

The news of the fire shocked Reginald but at least Bravo won't be coming out this week. Peter told him he'd make himself indispensable to Mac but Love interests came first. Reginald was delighted.

Mac tried to find a way to get Brava published this week. Enter Mitch. Mac grew irrational. Mitch said he wanted to talk. Mac flipped out. He told him he and Rachel loved each other and he was a nuisance. Mitch insisted he would see his son in two weeks. Exit Mitch.

Rachel is having her hair done by the thrilling John Sahg*? Zaug? Saab? Lord knows. He is evidently bien connu. He assured her she'd love what he was going to do.

Marissa arranged to meet with Peter over the phone. She was pleased. She brushed past Kathleen on her way out of the Northwoods Inn but Kathleen's view was obscured by a huge bouquet.

Adam dragged MJ to the Lansing hotel.

Peter told Brittany she would be gracious and charming to his father's wife. She said she'd get her baby back and go away. He told her that was a stupid thing to have said. She started to cry again. He told her to stop.

Rachel told Mac she was having a makeover. He got weird. She told him she was doing it all for him.

Cast found his table his table (on which he and Kathleen have first dibs forever more) occupied by Mr LaSalle. That's not Mr LaSalle, scoffed Kathleen, that's only Scott. Realization struck. She asked Cass if he'd known Scott was Reginald's son.

Rachel was made over.

MJ and Adam questioned the hotel manager. (Reginald owned the hotel.)

Cass attempted to distract the beloved. It didn't work. She got upset and raved at Cheryl. Cheryl was confused. Kathleen told her Scott was Reginald's son.

Mary cruised around the Love mansion with Brittany. Peter appeared drink in hand. When he saw Mary he dropped it.
