"But that's impossible ... this whole thing was a lie?" said Cass.
Donna's concerned about Marley. She thought the difficulty would be with Victoria. Vic wanted to go dancing. Donna said a young girl out alone after dark was not appropriate and suggested she call Nancy. Exit Donna. Vic called Jake.
Carter had MJ come to Smiley's and told her he thought he might be in trouble.
Larry said he'd 'fess up for a price. Possession's nine tenths of the law. Tommy Lee insists he owns them.
Jake was reluctant. He thought she could call Nancy and they'd go as a group. She wanted to be alone with him. He said he'd take Nancy and run into her accidentally. His attempts at levity were not appreciated.
Carter told MJ all about the job and his suspicions. She sounded unsuspicious but he persisted and she advised him to quit when he said it was the Plains Motel.
Larry was calm (and rather flip). Tommy Lee was deathly serious and smacked him in the mouth, drawing blood. He insisted the drugs were his and threatened death. Larry said he had men all around and if he didn't leave alive neither would Tommy Lee. Jimmy appeared and said the lab was on the phone. Tommy Lee told him not to talk business in front of Ewing and went to take the call.
Cass went to the Northwoods Inn looking for Felicia. She wasn't there. Wally wanted to be told about this but Cass talked about Kathleen instead and said she'd changed. Ceased to be a fighter. He can't get a rise out of her any more. He blames Daniel. And he doesn't care. Wally likes Daniel. He accused Cass of being jealous. Cass denied it. Wally said they loved each other and maybe Kathleen wanted him to fight for her. Cass changed the subject to his find.
Jake couldn't convince Nancy to come because of Perry. She told him to call Marley.
Carter suspects drugs. MJ told him he wasn't in any trouble and she'd look into it as soon as he quit. She told him to tell Adrienne he couldn't leave town any more because he'd found a job in Bay City. She did tell him there was an ongoing investigation and asked him to call from the Plains Motel.
Donna tried to placate Marley. Marley was distant and then got upset and asked what she was supposed to say about her mother now. (Just carry on as you have been. Don't TELL anyone.) Donna wanted her to go out with Victoria and Nancy but she said she didn't want visitors. Jake called. Donna took the call and asked him to call back tomorrow. Marley took fits although Donna bewildered reminded her she'd said no visitors. WHY DO YOU PRESUME TO RUN MY LIFE, Donna? Donna is distressed. She just wants what's best for Marley.
Jake tried further with Nancy but she was not to be persuaded. He left. Maisie told her Perry would want her to go on living.
Adrienne asked Tommy Lee to let her try to pump Ewing but he said she'd had her chance and it was his turn now. He returned to Larry who somehow tried to get a gun but failed. This proved to Tommy Lee's satisfaction that he had no backup.
Jake gained entrance to visit Marley with a rose to cheer her up. She was pleased to see him. He told her she'd feel better in the morning. She said she wouldn't worry then. She wanted him to stay. A lot of silence. She said he always knew what to do to make her happy. He said he never wanted to see her sad.
Cass told Wally he'd found that Lesoleil had bought the Chapin mansion in January and lied to them about why they were in Bay City. Wally told him not to upset Felicia. He got upset when he heard Cass had been snooping through Daphne's papers. Cass went to investigate further and told him he could tell Felicia.
Nancy went to the Plains Motel and ran into Muffy and her crowd. She sat with them for a bit and wanted to leave but they implored her to stay. She said she had a headache so Muffy gave her 'a new kind of aspirin'.
Carter quit. He told them he had a job at KBAY and a pregnant wife and couldn't leave town. Jimmy was suspicious but Adrienne said to pay him and tell him to get lost. He went in search of Dee. She's worried about Larry.
Larry has ten seconds to 'fess up. He doesn't sound worried.
Marley told Donna she'd try to understand but she needed time. We all had a good cry and made up. Marley wonders what Nancy will think. Donna's loved her so much all these years. Marley knows nothing has really changed. She called her mother. We cried more.
Jake told Vic everything would be all right.
Nancy feels great. Muffy told her the pills were called Ecstasy. Non-addictive drugs. Nancy was momentarily worried but they reassured her.
Adrienne went to check on Larry.
Cass decided Felicia deserved to know what Daphne and Michaud were up to and he'd find out.
Jake and Victoria ran into Muffy and Nancy. Jake was not overjoyed. Nancy's buoyant.
Carter called MJ to report. She asked if he could see Larry. He can't. He offered to look but she said to leave.
Tommy Lee is playing Russian Roulette, sort of. 1 bullet in the gun with which he's threatening Larry. Keep laughing, cowboy.
