There are candles and things all over the Cory house. They are going to get married again. The reverend Edward Barnes arrived. Mac went down on one knee to propose so they could get on with it. "Will you be my wife?"
Scott came in and shut the door behind him. Cheryl rejoiced. She told Vince they could prove his innocence. Scott told Mary they couldn't.
The large man told Michael that they had no phone.
Donna clawed at the window, trying to open it to get Michael's attention. The nurse came in and prevented her.
Michael argued with the large man. He asked if he could come in to warm up a little. He was shoved to the ground. "That hurt," he said. He asked who the owner was. The large man wouldn't tell him. He remarked the mean looking coat of arms over the door. Dogs barked.
Ada phoned Mary to say that the police were on their way over. Cheryl told Vince all about Bernie. A police car rolled up.
Mac and Rachel engaged in a sort of pre-vow vowing. Mac no longer fears getting older. He shoved a ring on Rachel's finger and they preceded with the regular vows without prompting. [They've been through it so many times, you see.] Mac kissed the bride. Enter Mitch and Matthew. Mitch looked a little stricken. Mac and Rachel explained that they were happy together. Mitch slunk out, having wished the Corys all the best and kissed the happy bride. They got the minister to repeat the pronouncement so Matthew could witness it & sign a document. Mac got to kiss the bride again.
Cheryl pressed all of the elevator buttons to slow down the police. Vince dashed out the back way.
Felicia prepared a Valentine. Mitch arrived and moped around. He bugged Sara about Michael. Felicia found out that her favorite niece was on her way up. Jamie was mildly interested. Mitch worried about Michael. Sara warned him they shouldn't make things worse.
Michael's car started. The large man made threatening noises involving dogs. Somehow the car stopped. [Whether Michael managed it somehow or not I don't know.] The large man told him to beat it and directed him to a far-distant payphone. Michael hid behind a tree.
Donna insisted that she wasn't sick and she was being held against her will. The nurse seemed dubious but seemed to be acting on higher orders.
Two police officers arrived and looked through Mary's apartment. They were suspicious because of the elevator button ploy. They asked Mary when last she'd seen Vince. She said he'd never been there. Everyone noticed Vince's wallet on the floor at the same time.
Michael got his gun out of the trunk and hid when the large man came back. The large man shone a flashlight on him and made him come out. A dog was summoned. Michael threw drugged meat to Prince and rendered the large man unconscious by other more physical means. The person on the other end of the walkie-talkie asked what was up. Michael affected a stupid voice and assured him everything was all right.
Mary tried to brazen it out. Scott said she didn't have to say anything without a lawyer. They have a grocer who sold Vince some chicken and stuff. The police warned her that she was in deep trouble and asked where Vince was.
The minister left. [on his way out he said to Matthew, "see you in church on Sunday," as if it were a regular sort of thing. Wow.] Vince phoned and talked to Mac, letting it be known in cryptic language that Mary needed a lawyer. Mac agreed to help. Vince rang off. The Corys are happy. Felicia phoned and asked them to come to the party. Rachel assured Mac that Mitch's presence wouldn't bother her.
Jamie told Sara he had sort of given up on his dream girl a little. [And the niece on her way up[!]] She consoled him. He left. Zack got a strange phone message and went to see about it. He ran into Quinn at the elevator. She's feeling down and defeated. Zack made her promise she'd stay until he could get back. He left. Maisie and Dave arrived.
Mary denied everything. The police brought the Superintendent [Mr Hanrahan] in. Mary insisted that Vince was innocent. The police asked Mr. Hanrahan if he'd seen Vince in the area.
Michael lurked.
Mitch tried to persuade Sara that they should help Michael. Mac and Rachel arrived. Rachel said she thought she should talk to Mitch. Felicia and Quinn seemed surprised that Mac didn't freak out. Rachel told Mitch that her being with Mac didn't mean she didn't care about his happiness and she was sure he'd find someone to love. Felicia looked at her valentine.
Mr. Hanrahan admitted that he'd seen Vince coming into this apartment and leaving about half an hour ago. Mary insisted that Vince was a good man and she'd help him again. The police arrested her. Cheryl was distressed. Zack burst in to be Mary's lawyer. Mary said she hadn't done anything wrong.
Michael hid behind a shrub as the sleazebucket came outside.
Donna tried to open the window.
Prince came up to the house making miserable noises. The sleazebucket assured him they'd find whoever had done that to him.
