ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

February 12, 1985

Kathleen claims to be sweet and innocent. Cass has to get up to work with Dee. Kathleen wants to go back to sleep. Kissing. Cass says he should go. Doesn't sound like he has.

Catlin thought about Willa. Sally arrived at the cabin to wish him luck. She firmly believes that he will do wonderfully well and go on to become Bay City's finest police officer.

An old woman hammering on a door demanding rent (of Willa, I believe). She opened the door and stopped short.

Sally has brought blueberry pancakes for him. He didn't sleep all night studying and worrying. She asked if the exam were all that was worrying him. He says the bedroom's just about finished and they can move the bed in soon and what more could one ask? Sally said "Nothing." He recalled himself and said he needed a job. He said he loved her she said she loved HIM and out he dashed bent on not failing. She's keeping her fingers crossed.

Kathleen prefers waking up with Cass to waking up to the sound of Prometheus barking or an alarm clock or a rooster. She said she'd like to every morning and hastily retracted that saying she didn't mean COMMITMENT. Cass agreed. Kathleen told Cass to tolerate Dee. She sent him on his merry way.

Wallingford arrived at Cecile's to find out about Donna's party. Lily told him all.

Dee's in her room contemplating the diary. She says it's stupid to write down what she feels because nobody cares and HE certainly doesn't.

MJ & Jamie are having a romantic breakfast except she's in a rush. He thinks they should talk about living together it sounds like. She skittered away. Peter arrived. He has masses of ideas and he needs Sally for as long as possible. Jamie: She's yours. (WELL.)

Nancy wants to shop in Soho. She says Ada's not a drag. Mac entered and Ada told him so. He said he'd tell Rachel. Nancy & Ada left.

Carl got a call form someone saying Rachel was with him. OF COURSE let her go he said.

Lily ladling coffee into Cass. Cass is weird. Sounds like he's not been sleeping. He started stammering and shaking and saying things about K-k-kathleeeen McK-kinnon. Wallingford accused him of fighting with her. Cass stammered that he was afraid -- terrified -- that he was f-f-falling in -- in love. Shiver gasp collapse.

The McKinnon girls are discussing budgets and their love lives. MJ's afraid of commitment. Kathleen reassured her.

Wallingford: Cass -- Cass -- you're telling me that this revelation just struck you? Cass said yes, just when driving over this morning. Wallingford told him it'd been going on a long time. Casting his mind back Cass realised that this was true and began to laugh hysterically saying he'd never been in love with Cecile and he certainly hadn't felt like this. Complete and content and listening to love songs and then he got anxious. So he switched on the news & rolled down the windows but that didn't help. And now he feels this OVERWHELMING RESPONSIBILITY for the whole world. (This man is weird.) He says he hasn't fallen in love he's gone off the deep end. Wallingford assured him he was indeed in love as Dee entered.

Mac told Perry he's here if he needs him. Carl's watching. Perry said Sandy & Jamie were lucky to have him for a father. Mac retaliated by saying he would be a grand son. Carl called and commanded someone to get Cory out of his way.

Wallingford left. Dee sounds depressed. She apologized for last night. Cass was thrilled. He said p'r'aps all was not lost but they'd have to work. He apologized too.

Sally musing on Catlin's exam. The last of the invitations have gone out and Aunt Liz is not satisfied with her displays of overwhelming excitement. No singing. No dancing. She's convinced that Catlin will be a damfine husband and policeman. And father for Kevin added Sally. Peter barged in. Sally left to get magazine things. Liz confided in Peter saying that she thought Sally was worried about more than Catlin's exam. She wants everything to be just right for Sally & Catlin because they have something so special. Peter says Catlin is a very lucky man I hate him I hate him.

Larry wished Catlin luck and got a call about an overdose and left (Willa?). Graham taunted Catlin about being left alone without his family.

Peter's been put in charge of Brava. He wants Sally for it. She doesn't want to. He asked if she were okay. She asked if she looked THAT BAD. She said she was getting married and she was worried about Catlin's exam. Peter brought up David and Sally said she was trying to forget about that. He brought up Cecile to even the score. Peter offered himself as confidant if she needs one. Jamie dashed in and called an emergency board meeting they have to call Mac. MACHINATIONS OF CARL.

Perry is not busy. He appreciates Nancy but New York reminds him of Carl and Julia's death so he's returning to Bay City. He doesn't want her to give up NYC for him.

Mac's going to LA. Carl's happy. Rachel will miss him.

Cass missed Kathleen. Dee feels ill. She wants to lie down. Cass asked Kathleen if she'd felt odd today -- nervous, shaky, feverish. She hopes she doesn't catch it. He doesn't.

Dee's writing in her diary. She wishes Cass CARED about her.

Graham's trying to make Catlin nervous.

Willa's landlady's mad that Willa chose to die there. MJ showed Larry something and he said DAMN. ('Tis to do with Catlin?)
