Marley went to Smiley's to meet Ben. He wasn't there so she consorted with Jake for a bit. Ben arrived. He passed the test and he's going to California. Next week. He said Willa's been scared and in need of money. He said he'd talk to Larry and meet her at the cabin later.

Catlin returned to the cabin. He told Sally it's over and he'd never worked so hard for anything in his life. Sally tried to comfort him. He doesn't want to talk about it. He doesn't want to hurt her feelings but he needs to be alone. She'll be at home if he needs her. He called her back. Sally. I was wrong. I don't need to be alone. I need you.
