Word got out in the paper about Lisa's accomplice story. Jamie worried about Lisa. Chad worried about himself. Some sleaze came in who had viewed the tape and said MJ was very hot. Chad pretty much told him to keep his filthy mouth off her.
MJ interrogated Peter. She said Peter had not boarded his flight and his car had been seen lurking near the Cory property. Explain yourself, Love.
Michael and Donna were greeted immoderately by Bridget. She was eager to hear about the undead brother. John sneered in and was introduced. Bridget was delighted to meet him. Everyone, even Donna, wants him to stay. John said he would stay only to see the mother impostor. Michael pled with him. John told him he [Michael] had everything a man could want and he didn't want to be in the way.
Peter said he didn't like planes so he'd decided to drive to Indianapolis but his car had died on the river road so he'd summoned his chauffeur to drive him the rest of the way. MJ doubted his word a little. She told him to remove his shirt. [Oho. She wants to investigate his rating on the Index.] He offered to remove his pants, too. She said it was up to him but she was interested only in his right shoulder. He questioned her motives. She explained about Adam's having shot at the killer. He tried her patience. ["Well, I always find it more tantalizing if you do it slowly."] He was astonished to find he hadn't been grazed. He said Tony must be the killer.
Chad said it was his intention to burn the tape and there hadn't better be any copies. MJ had been taped with a hidden camera in some act of iniquity and sex without her knowledge. No one knows about it. Sara blocked Chad's escape with a sundae to share. He was forced to delay to spend her break with her. Jamie warned Lisa to be careful. She said she had to keep helping the police. He said he'd changed his mind about that. They argued. He said he wouldn't let anything happen to her. She was touched. She said she was developing her control over her psychic abilities. He said smart crazy people were very dangerous people. Chad found out the garbage wouldn't be picked up for another two days but seemed to intend to trash the tape anyway. A prostitute named Roxanne came in and found out he had indeed been advising girls to go home and he wasn't taking money any more. He advised her to stop prostituting, too. She said all the other pimps were not happy [If all the other pimps jumped off a bridge, would you do it to? Sorry.] because their girls thought a big bust must be coming. [This is so like Mary Poppins, when the children demanded their pennies back and created a panic in the bank.] Chad said it wasn't his problem. He tried to convince her to give it up while she still had a chance. She was suspicious. He explained about pimping being scum. She stomped out. Enter MJ.
Peter poured out his troubles to Peggy. He is bribing the chauffeur to lie. Peggy was proud of him. They would seem to have a plan. They embarrassed Bridget and left for the love nest.
Chad lied about the contents of the videotape. MJ told him she believed he was going straight and she thought it was great. He said he thought it was late but he was going on to better things. She said she was tired of not trusting him and they should work on Linda's black book together. [Ick.] Lisa and Jamie left for the police station. MJ told Chad she had only decoded a little and she thought he could help. He said he didn't know codes. She said he knew the girls and Linda and the symbols seemed to be related to their subjects. He was disinclined to talk about the supposed audition tape.
Michael showed his undead brother how little the old home had changed. John went on about Michael's lifelong success. They chatted with the doctor about the impostor mother's stroke. She refuses to leave the house. Donna let the brothers visit with their mother alone. "Oh, John," she said. "how much do you know?"
MJ got called back to work. Chad said he'd wait in Mary's Place for her. He said he was glad she trusted him because it meant she still cared. [It means she's sick of her man's being tied up with the case and she wants it over with.] she left. Chad overtipped Sara hugely in his gladness.
The impostor mother ailed. Michael brought the undead brother in to visit. She was overcome, but not surprised. She asked why he'd stayed away. He had no good answer. She asked if he'd wanted to break her heart and Michael's. She asked if he hated her for what she'd done.
Some sleaze called Billy gave Chad a hard time out by the trash cans. It sounds as though Chad was an underpimp to a larger pimp. A fight broke out.
Lisa wondered about the nursery rhyme business. Val told her Adam was on his way. Jamie found her feeling psychic with the impression that the killer was trying to contact her. A new rhyme came up on the computer. "Roses are red, violets are blue." Lisa said the killer had been trying to get in touch with her. "Your psychic is smart but I'll get her too," it continued. Jamie said the killer was after her.
The sleazes [there are two] rendered Chad unconscious and looked to see what he'd been burning. The tape had of course been very clearly labeled with MJ's full name, and the sleaze is recognized it. They appropriated it, natch.
MJ returned to Mary's Place and relieved Sara because Cheryl was late. She asked about Chad. Sara said he'd gone into the alley. MJ went and found him in a battered heap.
Michael suggested John go rest. The impostor mother mentioned how blissfully happy Michael and Donna were. Exit the undead brother. Mother said they'd be a real family again.
John found Donna downstairs admiring basketball awards. She said she'd attended all the games. [They seemed to think she went to school in town. I had thought she'd gone to Switzerland.] She probed gently to find out how his memory was functioning. It seemed to be in perfect working order, to her dismay.
