Sara turned off the radio because she was sick of hearing about Lisa and Gollum because nobody seemed to be doing anything. [And what is Adam SUPPOSED to do that he hasn't done already?] Becky is helping decorate the place. Scott and Cheryl and Zack arrived. They're celebrating Mary's graduation. Enter Vince and Mary. SURPRISE.
Adam and MJ and Jamie fretted about the threat of a tornado. It might hold up their architect.
Dr Glaser may have cornered Lisa. Yes, he caught her and tried to soothe her. She found Mother's gravestone. She realized that Mother was dead. He denied it. Mother cannot rest until Lisa and Gollum are happily married. Lisa whimpered in fear.
Jamie found out from Louise's lawyer in Rockford that when Lisa turned 21, Gollum had phoned and said that it was Louise's dying wish that Lisa live with her aunt Felicia in Bay City. [Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.] Jamie raved about his insanity. One of Glaser's patients phoned Jamie back and said that she was certain that Gollum had said his mother had died two years ago.
The McKinnons and associates celebrated. Chad arrived. Sara latched on to him and asked him to stay. Vince came over and apologized for thinking he was the killer. He invited him to stay. Chad did. Everybody recalled everything Gollum had ever done. Zack brooded about Quinn. Mary asked what if Adam didn't get him. Scott organized a toast. Mary wept for joy. She wants to help people. That Old Carrot showed up to help celebrate. He told Mary he was very proud of her.
Adam and MJ and Jamie reeled. Tony rolled in, very upset about Lisa and Adam's lack of action. Adam told him he could get on with his life now. Tony said bitterly that it was easy for him to say, since he still had friends and a job and a GIRL. Exit Tony.
Gollum made small talk. He promised Lisa another surprise. He made her close her eyes. When he let her open them he presented her with a wedding gift. It was the gift her parents had given her on her 14th birthday. A locket. Louise had brought it to a therapy session because she felt that having a locket was an inducement to put some boy's picture in it. Louise was devoted to keeping Lisa pure. Gollum, in his turn, had stolen it from her. He went to get the cake.
That Old Carrot congratulated Mary and gave her a present. She refused to accept it. It was something for her desk, a pen, I guess. He said she'd be a PhD someday. He addressed some remarks to Scott, who said nothing. Nobody said anything. That Old Carrot left. Chad told Cheryl he had a great job for her but she refused to neglect Becky's doctor's appointment. He was disappointed. Mary talked to Cheryl. Cheryl said she preferred feeling responsible and needed to standing in front of a camera. Tony showed up to see Ada. She asked him to forgive her.
Warren Benton Steele arrived. He said he remembered the honeymoon warren but couldn't remember where it was.
Lisa thought of Jamie. Gollum returned. He's had the cake in the freezer for five years. He fed her some and told her it was her turn to feed him. He poured champagne. He regrets that there are no other guests. Lisa humoured him. She said she wanted to go away for their honeymoon. He said that was impossible right now. He made her dance with him. After a very short time he stopped and produced another surprise for her. He gave her something to put on and said he would wait in their bridal chamber.
Tony did forgive Ada. He said he wanted to talk to Nancy. Ada said they couldn't phone her until Gollum was caught. He gave her a letter to send Nancy. Ada introduced him to the party.
Rachel helped jog Warren's memory. He recalled that the honeymoon warren was on Summer Island. Adam and MJ acted. It's a tiny island over the Michigan side. No place to land a helicopter in the woods.
Sara offered to help Chad. He advised her to stay out of it. Scott advised Mary to try for the job at the shelter. She said she'd rather be a psychologist dealing with people. Scott pointed out that an administrative position would be very worthy and good for the kids who had touched her heart so much.
Because of the tornado no planes fly and no boats sail. Adam and Jamie stubbornly insisted on risking their lives. Adam said they could fly OVER the storm. MJ drew his attention to the lack of pilot. He thought of Michael.
Lisa tried to get away again but Gollum hauled her back. He attributed her desire to escape as virginal jitters and assured her he'd be gentle. She sobbed.
Vince told Zack he wasn't sure he could handle Mary's working as a psychologist. Ada turned up the music. Vince asked Mary to dance. Zack told Scott he had to go back to the office, but he could stay. Scott looked at Cheryl and left. Cheryl danced with Becky. Tony danced with Ada. That Old Carrot [I thought he'd gone] brooded about Mary. Vince and Mary discussed her potential involvement with the shelter.
Captain Delaney forbade Adam to go. Adam took off his badge and said he'd do what he wanted. Adam said goodbye to MJ in a very "I'm going off to war now, honey" way. [I expected her to sit down and start knitting for dear life.] He said he loved her and this would all be over soon. It was very moving. Moving, but sexist.
Gollum pressed on. He dwelled on Lisa's purity. He's been saving himself for her for quite awhile, too. She struggled and screamed.
