ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

December 11, 1984

Mac is having the house "Carl-proofed." Blaine defended Sandy no end. Mac and Jamie went to warn Sandy that Carl is murderous but Sandy refused to listen to them.

Donna went bats when she couldn't find Marley. Hildy had told her that both Marley and Carl were there in the morning but when she asked her again with Carl present Hildy kept looking at Carl nervously and saying "You must have misheard me." Donna is convinced that Carl has made away with Marley. She went to Sandy's office to worry about it. Sandy keeps saying that Carl wouldn't do anything as OVERT as that. It's not Carl's style. Donna's unconvinced.

Kathleen took the McKinnon mother's cameo. Jamie was at the McKinnon house watching MJ do dishes and talking to her. She said the police needed more information but Jamie can't tell her any more. He asked if there was anything he could get her and she said a chinchilla coat. He asked if roses would make her happy and she said yes so he went out to the car to get them. She was utterly enraptured by that and while she waited she went over to the drawer where the cameo had been and clutched the empty box to her heart (not knowing it was empty).

Cass had lunch with Tony. He begged laryngitis and so couldn't speak -- merely smile sweetly. Felicia and Kathleen were there at Smiley's and Kathleen denied knowing Tony's companion. Maisie told Kathleen that it was really nice that her friend was making friends and Felicia inquired but Kathleen said she knew no one in there and Maisie was just confused. Cass went back to his room and I assume he took a shower because when next seen he was shirtless with very wet hair & face. Wallingford proffered the theory that Tony's madly lusting after Krystle but Cass denied that because Tony says she reminds him of his sister Nora in Detroit. Wallingford's going to put some money on a horse. Kathleen came up and Wallingford left. Cass said he wished they had a little money to put on Wallingford's horse so they could win vast amounts with which to pay Tony off. Kathleen took the cameo out of her handbag and stared at it long and hard. (Fink. Fink. Selling a cameo like that would be terribly bad. 'S MJ's too.)

Carl talked to Sandy about Jamie tipping the police off. Sandy immediately started raving about how much he disliked Jamie for the way he'd treated him at Cory and saying that Jamie still carried a torch for Blaine and was to blame for most of the problems in their marriage. He said he really desperately wanted to pay Jamie out and Carl got a conniving look in his eye. Sandy also said that Jamie was in no way his brother. O but before this with Donna Sandy got a call from security saying that Blaine was on her way up so Sandy lunged at Donna and kissed her passionately until Blaine got there. (Let me tell you it was the most passionate kiss I've ever seen on the show. Catlin and Sally or Perry and Nancy or Mac and Rachel are NOTHING compared to Sandy and Donna.) Blaine stood stricken in the doorway for a moment and then she lit into Sandy (mostly regarding his taste and her blind trust in him). Sandy said a few traditional husband-found-locked-in-passionate-embrace-with-a-female-not -the-wife things. "I never meant for you to see that honey." Blaine returned to the Carl-proofed Cory place and threw everyone out of the living room so she could cry out the window on her own. She looked hijyus. Also before that bit Nancy went to Smiley's to see Perry. She told him the reason for Mac's barricading of the mansion -- he suspects Carl of being a horse-smuggler-cum-murderer. Perry rushed off to confront Carl. Carl told him that Mac Cory is a neurotic paranoiac.(Ick. Grrr.) Now the bit with Carl & Sandy discussing Jamie and then Sandy left. Carl took a tape recorder out of a hiding place and listened to Sandy's day. He heard the refusal to listen to Mac & Jamie and was pleased. He then took a photo of those who live at the Corys' and wondered aloud who would hurt Mac the most.
