I loved Donna better when she tended to go all prim and outraged at the mention of sex. She and Michael are behaving disgustingly. John showed up drunk.
Adam tried to find out where Gollum's honeymoon cottage was.
Gollum urged a drowsy Lisa to get rested up for the big event. Gollum gets on my nerves. Lisa muttered about Felicia. She woke up. Gollum said Felicia had written a lot of filthy books. She told him he was sick and needed help. He said he'd make her happy. She said Adam [and, to a lesser extent, Jamie] would save her. He said they wouldn't. He locked her up.
Adam found maps of all of the important places in Bay City. Adam phoned MJ at Tops to report. She assured him Felicia had turned up safe. He said he'd be over. Jamie sedated Felicia. Rachel and Mac fussed over him. MJ told them about the photo of the cottage. Jamie chafed. He blamed himself for shoving Lisa into the dangerous circles the police move in.
John wobbled drunkenly. Michael scolded the hospital for having released him. He went to summon a nurse. I really do loathe John. Donna chewed him out on behalf of Michael and Clara. Michael returned and forbade him to drink. Bridget rushed in with a Gollum report. She revealed that Dr Glaser was the killer.
Adam ran into Jamie and promised he'd save Lisa. He asked him to ask Dr Glaser's patients questions. Jamie was eager to help. He thought about his declaration of love. He droned on to Rachel about his dreams.
Gollum and Lisa don't see eye to eye. He said they were going for a walk to his boat and fell to rhapsodizing about their wedding. She screamed and struggled. He got peeved. She calmed down.
Jamie brooded sickeningly. Rachel told him his love would have to see Lisa through this.
Gollum doesn't like Lisa to fuss. She has great faith in Adam. Gollum has greater faith in Adam's stupidity. He explained a little about the Reward. She refused to marry him. He pointed out that she'd saved herself for their wedding [so it would be rather silly to waste all of that effort].
Rachel recognized the style of the honeymoon cottage as being that of a famous architect unknown to Adam. Warren Benton Steele. They decided to look him up.
Donna fretted because Dr Glaser knew everything about her and she'd trusted him. Michael reassured her. When Michael left the room to let the nurse in John was likewise reassuring and sympathetic. Donna said nothing. Michael introduced Nurse Rheingold. John protested. He seemed prepared to beat her back, if he could find her. He said he didn't need anyone to look after him. Michael got rid of the nurse and said he was through with him. Come on, Donna.
The police and Jamie went through Dr Glaser's files and found Louise Grady in his appointments for 1979. Professional and personal. They pieced everything together in the stupidest possible way. [That is to say, they got it more or less right, but the way they said everything made it sound phenomenally stupid.] Adam was the ringleader. He said the Dr Glaser had killed the wicked women to make certain he was fit for a virgin. MJ asked how he would have known Lisa was a virgin. [Adam said it as though he was darned certain.] Adam said Louise had to have told him. [Honey, listen carefully. Just because a woman tells you in 1979 that her [14-year-old] daughter is a virgin doesn't mean that (a) she knows beans about it or (b) the daughter will remain a virgin for the next eight years.]
Lisa begged to be let go. Gollum showed her their honeymoon warren with pride. He said he'd been planning this since the day of her parents' accident. [The gang had deduced that he'd killed them.] He told her all about how wicked her mother had been, wanting him. She hadn't deserved to have such a good and pure daughter. Lisa said it wasn't true. Dr Glaser let on he had indeed caused the accident which killed her parents. Lisa was horrified.
John, abandoned, found out that he would probably spend the rest of his life knocking things over unattended. Michael rushed in and implored him to let them help him. It was very stirring. Donna supported Michael for all she was worth.
Adam managed to get his hands on Lisa's bracelet which was found near a disused boathouse on Lake Michigan. Gollum could have taken her anywhere. Jamie said they had to look everywhere, since they couldn't leave Lisa with that madman overnight. Then Jamie suddenly realized that Gollum had no intention of killing Lisa. Then he started worrying about what Gollum would do when Lisa refused his love.
Lisa dwelled on this revelation. Gollum crooned about Mother. Lisa sobbed. Gollum tucked her up to keep warm. He told her it was the last night she'd ever have to sleep alone. He presented her with Mother's wedding dress.
