ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

January 9, 1987

Sara spilled coffee on Bowden.

MJ tried to rush Jamie away. Chad introduced himself and said he and MJ went back a long way.

Reginald convinced Mary to come to dinner at Tops with him. Cheryl treated them frostily.

Dr Bowden demanded his cheque. Sara told Ada she had to stall him for Michael. Ada gave her leave. Sara apologized to Dr Bowden profusely but he insisted on leaving. She told him she had a message for him from Reginald Love. At first he denied knowing him. She mentioned Donna and the drug. He grabbed her and said she had to come back to his apartment. When he went to pay the bill she told Cheryl to tell Michael Hudson they had gone to the doctor's place. Bowden rushed her out. Cheryl doesn't have a good grasp of the situation.

Michael tried and failed to reach Adam.

Chad told Jamie he and MJ had met in their sophomore year at college. He said he was talent coordinator for Tops. Michael dragged Jamie away. Chad knew that Jamie was the old boyfriend. He expressed his desire to meet the new one.

Mary tried to talk to Cheryl. There was a crash from the kitchen. They found some cans of tuna missing.

A shadow lurked in the alley.

Cheryl explained to Mary that it upset her to see her kissing Reginald in Vince's restaurant. Mary saw her point and said she'd ask Reginald to stay away. She said too she wouldn't be made to feel guilty because she had feelings and that she understood the situation better than Cheryl, having lived it.

Nancy and Tony went skating and back to her place for dinner. She is limping a little. She told him she had been scatterbrained before and now she wanted to be a nurse. [This is meant to be an improvement.]

Surprise, surprise. Chad used to book MJ into clubs. She begged him not to ruin her life. Wallingford appeared and told her Adam had phoned regrets. He has to testify in the Kramer case. Chad sent his love along to Adam when she left. Wallingford asked to see Chad's résumé.

Jamie and Michael found Sara gone. Ada told them what she knew. Cheryl appeared and gave them the message. They ran out.

For no known reason Wallingford was civil to Reginald. That Old Carrot brought Mary up for dinner. He reminded her of the good old days. He told her he'd win her back TONIGHT.

Wallingford examined Chad's résumé. He phoned his references to check.

MJ changed the subject when Cheryl accused her of thinking about what her children with Adam would look like. She changed the subject even more vehemently when Cheryl mentioned marriage. Cheryl backed off.

Sara stalled by eating crackers. Sara: maybe if you just had a little cheese to go with them. 1000: well, I don't. I am all out of cheese and you are all out of time. Sara: that sounds like a song. He asked what the message was. She said Reginald wanted to meet him. He asked where she said their regular meeting place. He said they didn't have one and attacked her. Someone knocked. Sara cried out to Michael. Michael and Jamie burst in. Michael demanded answers about the drug and Reginald.

Reginald told Mary that powerful men were not often well liked. [What about Mac and Michael?] She said they weren't usually hated. He dismissed his opponents as paranoid and pointed out that Felicia had changed her mind. He tried to convince her to come back to him for a trial period on her terms. A waiter whispered to him something that caused him to have to leave. He told Mary he'd take her home.

Tony kept Nancy off her foot. They like each other so much so easily. She told him he was a man whereas the boys she dated before had been boys. [I would have called him the youngest of the bunch.] He said it was because she wasn't a little girl any more.

Ada took the garbage out. A round-headed shadow lurked.

Michael and Jamie let Sara go. They interrogated Bowden about the drug. Eventually he admitted he had made it for Gomez for recreational purposes. He swore he hadn't known it was for Donna. He said there was no cure for Donna's problem.

Chad's references checked out. Chad didn't mind Wallingford's suspicious nature. Wallingford remained suspicious nonetheless.

Mary made Reginald see that he wasn't to come back to the restaurant. She agreed to think about the trial period.

Cheryl insisted on serving Nancy because of her ankle. She apologized to Mary for what she'd said earlier. Mary told her she'd do what she thought was right. Cheryl said that she thought Vince was wrong about Scott but not about Reginald.

Jamie made Bowden write out the drug's formula. Michael found out Gomez was in the country and put more men on the case. Bowden said the drug alone hadn't been responsible for Donna's breakdown. "After she saw the Picture and knew the truth, the drug simply pushed her over the edge." Michael asked what truth and what Picture. Enter Reginald.

MJ met Mary taking the garbage out. MJ went in without her. A man clamped his hand over her [Mary's] mouth. She struggled. She turned and when she saw him her eyes widened. [It must be Vince.]
