ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

July 8, 1986

Catlin arrived at the Loves' to find Brittany in a panic about her apparently kidnapped baby. Enter Peter.

Rachel phoned Cecile to say she was on her way over.

MJ was pried off Cass. Cass was introduced to Adam. Adam said he was taking him down to the precinct to be asked a few questions. Cass yelled at them for not having rescued him. Adam insisted on taking him to the precinct. Cass insisted on seeing Kathleen first. MJ said she didn't think it would be any use.

Mac tried to dissuade Rachel but she left. Kathleen arrived to talk to Mac about her parent novel.

Peter accused her of not looking after her baby properly. She got upset. He said he'd had to take action and introduced her to the new nursemaid, who refused to relinquish her hold on the baby. Miss Weston has been installed to help Brittany. Brittany objected. Peter took her aside and said she made it sound as though there were a plot against her. He warned her against being caught in Catlin's arms too often.

MJ apologised to Cass. She said Kathleen was confused and suggested he give a statement first. Cass is determined to see Kathleen.

Rachel and Cecile bitched at each other not quite amicably. Cecile said nasty things about Jamie and Sandy.

Donna approves of Miss Weston. Brittany complained about Peter to the assembled Donna, Michael, and Catlin, and went to the nursery. Catlin informed Donna and Michael that Victoria had checked out of a Bay City Hotel recently . Brittany stomped through on her way out. Catlin caught up with her and asked her to make time for a chat.

Mac told Kathleen he liked her idea. He assured her Adam had turned her down in order not to hurt her because of Cass. Kathleen said Cass had come to a point.

Cass didn't like the flow chart. He accused Adam of trying to steal Kathleen away from him. Adam denied it. Cass told him to stay away from Kathleen . Adam wouldn't let him leave. They quarrelled. MJ intervened. Adam yelled at Cass about her demotion and having hurt Kathleen. Enter Samuels. He laughed at Cass' kidnapping story.

Rachel told Cecile she'd hurt Kathleen enough. She ordered her to leave Bay City. She's welcome to Cass but not here.

Zane and Felicia went to Kathleen to employ her to listen to Cass' explanation. She came over all queer. When she regained consciousness Felicia told her Cass' story in part. (They left out the sterility bit.) They assured her they believed Cass loved her. She asked them to tell him to stay away. Felicia attempted to reason with her.

Cass told his story from the beginning. The police were especially tickled by the sex part. Adam sent for a tape recorder. They laughed even harder when Cass gave the sinister reason for sex.

Cecile assured Amir (her King) that she was certain she was pregnant and Cass was being very cooperative. Cecile told LaRusso to get a man Cass wouldn't recognise to keep him away from Kathleen. Peter arrived. Cecile was delighted to see him.

Catlin told Brittany he thought he was making things difficult for her and Peter by being around and so he's considering moving to Chicago. She pled with him . He admitted he hadn't decided. He noticed a resemblance to Evan in the baby. He said the last thing he wanted to do was mess her life up but they had to straighten something out. This is my baby, he said, and waited for her to react. He said he'd believe that unless she said something. She told him she regretted having married Peter and she was confused and afraid. He told her to stop pretending. She said she wished they were back in Dry Creek and reminded him of Evan. She said it was only natural that he'd like the baby. Michael and Donna appeared and Brittany fled. Catlin went out.

Kathleen refuse to believe Cass had really been kidnapped. Felicia begged her to listen to Cass. Zane assured her Cass loved her.

LaRusso left a man at the dockhouse to shadow Cass. MJ and Cass went there. MJ told Cass to rest. She promised to explain his delay in seeing Kathleen. He asked if she thought Kathleen would believe him.
