ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

August 8, 1985

Kathleen is being massaged. She's unthrilled with the masseuse. Enter Felicia. Kathleen got rid of the masseuse in order to talk to Felicia. Kathleen: don't you think she's being a little overzealous? Felicia: Sigrid is a wonderful masseuse. Michaud thinks highly of her. I think you're being just a little over-nervous. Kathleen: yeah, yeah, yeah, well maybe. It isn't every day a girl gets to visualize herself, you know. Felicia: Yes, I know. Kathleen:It is RIDICULOUS that I have to fast for 24 hours for this thing. Felicia: Well Michaud wouldn't have you doing it until unless it was beneficial. Kathleen: Felicia you know I'm really glad that we have this little time to talk. Felicia: you feel better now, don't you? Kathleen: yeah, yes. Felicia: good because I really want you to have a good time today. Kathleen: but you know what would make me feel a whole lot better about this whole thing? Felicia: What? Kathleen: oh, a little bitty roll with a teeny tiny smidgen of butter. Felicia: KATHLEEN, that's CHEATING. Kathleen: I can't do this without food, Felicia, you've got to score for me.

Donna paid $1700 for that dress. Peter insisted the dress go back. "Oh, Peter, this money business has made you so dreary." She refused.

Catlin held the needle to Tommy Lee's throat and ordered Jimmy to let Britt go.

Felicia: KATHLEEN. I am truly disappointed in you. Kathleen: well come on Felicia I can do this just as well with food in my stomach, I'll be BETTER. Felicia: A 24 hour fast never hurt anyone. Kathleen: Did you do it? Felicia: well, no -- Kathleen: I rest my case. Now do we order takeout or should we find a place that delivers? Felicia: KATHLEEN. Kathleen: WHAT? Felicia: WHY CAN'T YOU GIVE YOURSELF TO THIS? Kathleen: I FEEL FAINT. Felicia talked her out of it and got her back on the table for Sigrid. Kathleen feels she confided too much in Michaud. She begged for an egg roll. Felicia pleaded Cass' case. He loves her. Kathleen was not swayed.

Donna says she can't get the job without the dress. Peter says that's silly. She's living in a dream world. "It's the only world I have, Peter." The dress MUST go back.

Jimmy said if Catlin didn't let Tommy Lee go Brittany would get it. Catlin hesitated a moment and released him. He was promptly smashed in the face and reeled backward. Britt took screaming fits. She raved about Willa. They told her the same thing would happen to her. Catlin told them to leave her alone. He was not heeded. The Man called to say he was arriving early. Tommy Lee told Jimmy to take Britt to Stoners Motel where Willa was killed and then waste her. They're saving Roy for the Man himself. Jimmy entertained himself by going through Britt's wallet. He set up a shriek of laughter at something he found.

Felicia told Michaud about Kathleen. She'd like to be at the visualization but it's out of bounds. Michaud went with Daniel to check out the visualization room. Felicia wasn't invited. She fled after them.

Donna sent the dress back. She's regretful but "c'est la guerre." Victoria decided to do something about it.

Michaud wants Kathleen's visualization to be perfect. Daniel left and Felicia fell in the door. Exit Daniel. Michaud told Felicia she COULD have asked. "Ooh, if I can't push some of these levers I think I'll go nuts. May I?"

Tommy Lee laughed too. Catlin (Josh) and Britt in the good old days she and her wig of straight long hair and bangs and he in his false mustache. (Tommy Lee: it sure must be embarrassing walking around like that. But do you know what this whole picture proves? Catlin: We went to a costume party together?) They figured out they've been working together all along. Catlin told them they've been working for the Man who didn't trust Tommy Lee. Tommy Lee was almost convinced until Jimmy rummaging further found a newspaper clipping of Catlin & Sally getting married. "A wedding, boss. Only the broad ain't Brittany. Mr and Mrs CATLIN EWING." Ewing as in Larry. (I WONDER about Brittany. Don't you?) They intend to kill Britt and let the Man take care of Catlin and then trap Larry. Catlin suggested they let Britt go. They merely looked at him pityingly and Jimmy bore her out shrieking "CATLIN."

Felicia looked at sketch of Daniel's (I guess for the estate or HQ or something) and was taken aback to discover it was of the place she'd first stayed with Monsieur in Spain. He passed it off as coincidence and changed the subject. He fled. She gazed at the sketch.

Victoria arrived just as a woman bought Donna's dress. She said a whole bunch of things about how the woman had chosen a perfect dress for her clinching the no sale with "I think that dress is perfect for someone in her forties." "I'm THIRTY-EIGHT." She dumped the dress and fled. Victoria sympathized with Yvette and offered to buy the dress. She advised Yvette to sell it to her (charging it to Marley's account). "You almost got stuck with the dress twice today."

Kathleen is clothed in a Grecian fashion. Michaud is advising her to calm down. He thinks she'll be pleasantly surprised. They went into the visualization room. There are mirrors all about and a chaise in the middle. She is relaxed.

Daniel understands Daphne. She has eyes for only Michaud. Daphne asked Felicia about Donna. She told about Carl and Donna's marriage. And Donna was in the dark. Daphne speculated aloud that he might have bought antiques for her.

Victoria presented Donna with the dress telling her she'd bought it to cheer her up.

Catlin despises Tommy Lee. I can tell. A call came through saying the Man had arrived early and was there. Tommy said to send him in. Catlin told him the Man would be thrilled "everybody AND HIS BROTHER infiltrated without you knowing." Tommy Lee is not fond of Catlin. Enter Larry.

Donna was thrilled but damped by the thought of Peter. Vic said he was a drag. Donna was convinced to brave Peter's wrath. She loves Vic. Exit Donna. Enter Bridget. Victoria told her the whole story (including the "I charged it to Marley's account." They had a good laugh.) They're pleased with themselves. Vic wonders about Jake though.

Catlin advised Larry to flee. Adrienne appeared, distracting Tommy Lee briefly, long enough for Larry to shoot him. Tommy Lee collapsed in a pile of drugs and shot back all white and powdery. He hit Adrienne who had thrown herself in front of him.

"LOVE. Donna LOVE. No, this isn't an escort service, this is Miss LOVE." She's trying to hire her senile old butler Gibbs for tonight (the cheapest she could do). She claims the regular is ill. She entertained herself with thoughts of how readily Michaud would hire her and offer her vast sums of money.

A soothing female voice spoke to Kathleen. She was instructed to say the first few lines of her favorite poem. "Somewhere I have never traveled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence." She said them flatly. The voice told her to think about them as they should be spoken. Films of opening rosebuds, breaking waves, and waving palms appeared on the walls and the voice repeated the lines in her soothing voice with feeling. Kathleen panicked.

Jimmy put Brittany on a bed in a motel room and prepared the syringe, chatting as she looked on in silence. He's chewing gum noisily." So, you're Willa's cousin, huh? You don't look like her. Is that what you said? You know I don't think that this motel room is the same one Willa died in. I can't be sure but I don't think it is. For one thing the bedspread was different. Yeah, and something else -- they had different pictures on. Now I remember, I remember the bedspread, and I remember Willa lying down on it. Just like you're lying. Course I moved her afterwards. Yeah, I moved her. But I don't think this was the same motel room. I don't know, motel rooms, they look different all the time, don't they? You ever been to a motel room? I bet you have, a hot little number like yourself. You know I bet, I just bet you and Roy made some really sweet music together, huh? I bet you did." She spit in his face. "WOW. Oh, beautiful. You're a real hellcat, you know that?. I'll tell you what. I'm going to give you a little more time. Yeah, Uncle Jimmy just gave you a reprieve. Cause I want to get to know you. Just a LITTLE bit better." He stood up and commenced fiddling with his belt buckle.

Larry comforted Adrienne. She's losing blood. Captain said he had to get to Britt. Larry told him to call an ambulance for Adrienne but he repeated doggedly he had to get to Brittany and fled.
