Sam told Amanda to get out. She told him she loved him. He refused to believe her.
Lisa collapsed on Jamie for a minute.
John told Cass to leave. Nicole came in and was clearly uninformed.
Rex has a little pistol.
Nicole advised Cass not to stay on the boat. John went to fetch Adam to talk sense to him. Rex shot through a porthole and knocked John down. Cass threw himself on top of Nicole to shield her. The police did not follow Rex. Cass went after him. Nicole ran after him, stupidly. The police stood around.
Lisa complained about the smoke in the Powerhouse. Vicky suggested she might be having a premonition. Lisa felt fear. Enter Cheryl. A nerdy guy hit on her. Chad got rid of him. They danced. She greeted Scott and Dawn. Dawn had Scott take her outside for fresh air. Cheryl was convinced they were trying not to aggravate her moderate pining.
Amanda tried to stop Sam leaving. She told him she had assumed the identity of Mandy Ashton in order not to receive special treatment at Brava, and then she fell in love with him. She hadn't told him because he hated rich people as a class. She assured him she hadn't used the Cory name to get his painting hung. He decided he couldn't forgive her. She refused to give up.
Rachel brooded. Mac confessed he'd blown Amanda's cover thinking she'd told Sam.
Wally couldn't find Cass or Nicole. Mitch was on about Cass' attraction for trouble. He doesn't appreciate Cass' involving Felicia in his problems, or Felicia's unquestioning support. Jamie told Victoria Lisa needed cheering up. Vicky suggested they plan a surprise party together for her imminent birthday. She bitched about Donna. Rex dashed in in slow motion. Lisa dropped a glass and sensed evil in the room.
Sam kept calling Amanda Miss Cory. She insisted they loved each other. He said he couldn't love anyone like her. She asked him to promise he wouldn't leave town until they'd talked again. She left, saying she loved him. He contemplated the collage and said goodbye.
Mac told Rachel he didn't understand why she hadn't told him about Sam.
Vicky gave Jamie leave to take Lisa home. Lisa started gibbering about Christmas trees. Enter Cass. He saw a Rex looking evilly down from the catwalk. He climbed up. There was a fight. Adam came in, having followed Cass and Rex.
Mac was reluctant to come to bed with Rachel. He ran into a tearful Amanda in the corridor. Rachel drew her into the bedroom. Amanda forgave Mac. Rachel watched them embrace.
Cheryl and Chad sat on a bench. She told him he was she was tired of feeling sad all the time and it was so bad Vince was urging her to date. Chad said she'd snap out of it eventually. Youths like that. She felt a little better. They flirted a little.
Scott and Dawn discussed snow and Christmases past and future.
Adam asked Wally if he'd seen Cass and Rex. He ordered the Powerhouse shut down. Rex shot Cass in the head. Cass fell down. Nicole wandered in. Rex climbed down from the catwalk and told her he'd killed Rex and he was dead. She was not taken in — he's not wearing the outfit in which she saw Cass a few minutes ago, and he has no ring. Lisa told Jamie they couldn't leave because something was very wrong. Donna spotted Nicole with Rex and was relieved to see her with Cass. Wally had doubts. Cass revived [he had merely had his temple grazed]. Adam got the music turned off. Donna called to Nicole. Nicole screamed for help. Rex held a gun to her chest. Adam produced his own gun but was forced to surrender it. Rex ordered a path to the door cleared.
Dawn played "I'll be home for Christmas" on the piano. Scott kissed her. They love each other. She sang in her baby voice between kisses. She told him she wanted him to make love to her. Further kissing.
Amanda blamed herself. Rachel suggested that if Sam couldn't see beyond the identity thing perhaps he wasn't worthy. Amanda said she'd hurt him very badly. Rachel comforted her. She told her they had an electric oven. Amanda was sorry to hear it.
Sam picked up his bags and threw out the collage.
Donna screamed. Rex announced that Cass was dead. Cass denied it. Rex was distracted. Nicole hit him but it wasn't much good. He shot at Cass and missed. He pressed his gun into Nicole's middle for a minute and then shot at Cass again.
