ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

December 4, 1987

Amanda ran to Julie Ann with her troubles. She can't find Sam to confess first.

Sam told Mac he didn't even know his daughter. Mac said Amanda had told him she would reveal her true identity to him. Sam was confused. Mac said his daughter was Amanda Cory, AKA Mandy Ashton. Sam stared.

Victoria watched Jamie dance with Lisa. She tried to drag Adam away from the phone.

Cass found a vicious-looking hook. When John limped across his path, he ambushed him, and then found he didn't want to attack him. [He's wearing the identifying ring.] John identified himself as Michael's brother and explained he was supposed to lure Rex to his boat. Cass said Rex wanted to get him rather than flee town. He suggested the boat should be baited with himself.

Amanda doesn't have her key to Sam's place handy so she can't go over there. She practiced confessing to Sam. [Julie Ann had to be Sam. She looked uncannily like him, doing something ominous with her eyebrows, but Amanda took exception to her every reaction.] Amanda became convinced he would hate her.

Sam was incredulous. Mac showed him a photograph. Sam was bitterly wounded. He decided Amanda had been toying with him. Mac refused to discuss it. Sam flounced out. Mac told Mitch he was sure Amanda hadn't meant to hurt Sam.

Adam continued to find the phone more fascinating than Victoria. Jamie puffed. Victoria prevailed upon Adam to dance with her. Dawn dragged Scott onto the dance floor to prove she was healthy. She tried to make him admit he'd been chatting with Chad about something more serious than Larry Bird. He diverted her with talk of Christmas.

Mitch followed Sam home and advised him to talk to Amanda. Sam berated himself for believing her lies. Mitch tried to stop him packing. He reminded him of his contract with Brava. He was very loving.

Donna went to the police station. Everyone filled her in on Rex Allingham. Felicia suggested they take the party to Tops. Donna missed Cass. Nicole furrowed her brow.

John agreed to start a rumour. Cass told him to tell Bad People. John told him to go home. Cass protested. He said he'd go to Tops and await his call.

Victoria stared at Jamie and Lisa over Adam's shoulder. Suddenly Adam pried her loose and asked Lisa if she had any thoughts on Cass or Rex. Lisa said not, but Vicky insisted they change partners so Adam and Lisa could discuss it. Jamie obligingly danced with her and recommended Adam. Enter John. Adam broke away from Lisa and got the news from him. Adam heard the plan and liked it.

Nicole has thankfully changed out of that tedious wedding gown. The gang drank champagne and awaited Cass' arrival. Donna declined champagne for the sake of the child. Nicole decided to give up on fashion design. Zack mentioned that Rex had exhausted Cass' funds and then some. Enter Cass, baying for champagne and caviare.

Sam went on and on about working class. Mitch suggested that Amanda had misrepresented herself because she was young and didn't know any better. Sam said he'd never be able to trust her again. And how awful, she's the first woman he ever loved. Mitch left him alone. Sam broke the collage. Amanda knocked and called. When Sam opened the door she was gone. He called to book a random flight.

Chad remarked on Dawn's pallor. Dawn admitted she had been lethargic for about a week. Chad looked concerned. She went to the ladies' room. Chad warned Scott Dawn was persistent. Scott insisted he wouldn't tell Dawn about her mother. John put the word out. Adam called Wally and told him to watch Cass like a hawk.

Nicole accused Cass of being up to something. Poker face. Enter Mitch. He was a little short with Cass [of course, with him it's hard to tell. He may have been quite warm] about the photographs. Cass suggested they all go to the Powerhouse. Exeunt omnes.

Amanda looked a wreck.

Cass got everyone dancing to Satisfaction and slunk out. Nicole was chagrined.

Amanda went to confess to Sam. He let her in. She started up in a rush and perceived something was wrong. He glared [looking astonishingly like Julie Ann] and continued packing. She realized he knew. He refused to listen to her.

Victoria accused Adam of pushing thirty. He tactfully left her and Donna alone. Donna tried very hard. Victoria cut her. Felicia and Wally missed Cass. Jamie missed Nicole. They were obliged to confide in Adam, who rushed out with his men.

John found Cass on his boat. They argued.

Nicole boarded the boat. Rex lurked.
