Jamie walks funny. Lisa is very receptive today for a change. She told Jamie she was going to reward him for his understanding.
Ada found MJ all alone in Mary's Place. MJ let on she'd quit her job as Chad came in. Chad said it was about time.
Bridget asked for the evening off for a date. Donna granted it. John played the heavy father, issuing curfews and things. Bridget left to meet her swain. Turns out Michael had a business emergency in Philadelphia so Donna's surprise is cancelled. She said she was going for a drive. John pretty much demanded that she entertain him instead. (Well, he didn't seem to think he ought to be expected to entertain himself.) She said she didn't care what he did. Peter came upon them. John went in. Peter found out that Michael was away on business. He told Donna the house was going to cease to be the Hudson family barracks. It sounded like an order.
Jamie was eager. Lisa told him she felt secure with him. Kissing. They went out to swing.
Chad was surprised that MJ regretted no longer being a cop. He offered to become a pimp again so that she could retract her resignation. (Something is not right here.) She told him not to. He was alarmed to hear she had told her mother and intended to tell her father. She assured him she wasn't broadcasting his part in it because she didn't blame him any more. (Too forgiving.) She is accepting that it was her decision to become a prostitute. (This sounds wrong to me.) Adam came in and asked to talk to MJ alone. Chad said, "I don't think the lady wants to be alone with you."
Donna found Peter a bore. He said he wanted That Old Carrot welcome in the house, to visit with Victoria. Donna said she forbade it. Peter said she couldn't. She said Michael would never allow it. (Is it just me, or is this sexist?) She told Peter that the Carrot was only using him and left. Peter contented himself with looking at supposedly incriminating photographs.
Chad told Adam he had no right to MJ any more, not being married to her or working with her or anything. He ordered him to leave. Adam was incensed. MJ broke it up and asked Chad to leave them alone. Chad wandered off. Adam said he wanted to know who had sent him the tape. MJ said she didn't know. He said he wanted to know why someone had waited years to hurt one or both of them and he refused to drop it when she asked.
A couple of young guys flashed huge wads of money and asked Wally where they could find a little action. He asked them to leave. Felicia cruised through and when they tried to hit on her she said she was the boss, bought them drinks, and warned them not to hit on anyone else. John came up. He and Wally were friendly. Mac and Rachel came up, talking about Amanda and her birthday. (She's younger than Cheryl. Terrifying.) Rachel wants to have a coming out party.
Jamie and Lisa sat out on the porch swing. Jamie talked about honeymooners. Lisa made him show her what they looked like. He managed to look like a lost puppy for about a second before he broke out laughing. He said the couple next door thought they were honeymooners. Lisa looked away, maidenly and becomingly shy, you know. She conceded it wasn't a bad idea. Kissing. He suggested a moonlight swim. She panicked.
Amanda phoned from London. Rachel instructed Mac to tell her they were holding a small family birthday party for her. Donna said she had a surprise planned to bring her and Michael closer and exclude John. Wally rushed up and told Felicia the pastry chef was throwing pats of butter at the head chef. Felicia fled. One of the young guys approached Donna and forced his beastly attentions on her. John came to her rescue. He said he was her husband. The jerk called him a gimp and appealed to Donna for confirmation that he was the better catch. Wally threw him and his friend out. Donna took John's cane from him and asked him to dance. Felicia saw them and looked thoughtful. Amanda is to be home in two days.
Jamie demanded to know what had upset her. Lisa explained about the association of moonlight swimming and being raped. He asked if she'd prosecuted the rapist. She said that he had been a very respected man in Rockford and no one would have believed her. He didn't get it. She refused to dredge it up again.
Chad said bad things about Adam. MJ refused to blame him (isn't taking all the blame for this different from accepting responsibility for one's own actions? It sounds extremely unhealthy). He worried about her telling Vince. He told her he cared about her and offered to be her agent again. She was incredulous. She said she wouldn't let him manipulate her again. He told her not to let her talent go to waste. He said he'd always be there for her.
That Old Carrot showed up at the mansion. Peter, formerly the first person to belittle Donna for wanting to hang onto the mausoleum, fell over himself agreeing with Reginald that it could and would be great again. Ugh. He showed him his incriminating photograph. That Old Carrot pocketed it. He intends to win Victoria back. Peter doubted that he could do it. That Old Carrot (using the house of cards analogy for the thousandth time; what a bore) said they were going to use Victoria to upset everything. What a pig.
Mac and Rachel planned enthusiastically. Donna thanked John and said she had to leave. Felicia intercepted her and asked what was going on. Donna said she wanted to talk to Michael. Felicia is going crazy because Donna is keeping good secrets from her.
Lisa said goodnight to Jamie at the door. Kissing. He expressed disappointment at having to sleep on the couch and said he was going to wander around outside for a while. She went in and brought out her journal. She wrote that she would never tell Jamie what REALLY happened that night. (Ugh.)
Chad told MJ that she had wanted to be a cop only in order to please Adam. (She didn't even meet Adam until she'd been on the force at least two years, probably more. Somebody is extremely deluded.) He held her face and told her not to give up her chance to live up to her full potential.
Donna came back to Tops and ran into John.
