Kathleen told Cass they had problems about the wedding.
Scott and Cheryl prepared dinner.
Donna shoved Reginald's gun so that no one was shot. Commotion. Reginald said it was getting dark so he conceded defeat. The contest is over. Gomez rushed him back to the house. Michael tried to get Donna to explain why she'd screamed about That Old Carrot trying to kill him AGAIN. She was evasive. Bridget summoned him for an important phone call.
Kathleen explained the Vince/Mary situation to Cass. He promised her everything would work out. He rushed off.
Scott decided the sleeping bag was big enough for two. Cheryl told him about camping with the nuns. Sister Herman Joseph (AKA Sister Mark Spitz) was the only one who ever wore a bathing suit. They burned the beans. They tussled. Enter a couple of hunting type guys.
Adam sleazed himself up and stationed himself at the Pig Whistle to keep an eye on MJ. Jamie dropped in. MJ was not pleased. She told him she was undercover. He said they had broken up "years ago" because of her undercover work. He threatened to come back.
When Matthew asked her Rachel told him she didn't love Mitch, she loved Mac. Matthew told her Mitch loved her, although he hadn't said it in so many words because "grown-ups never say what they feel." Exit Matthew. Rachel brooded a while. She said something to the maid Jeanette about taking a drive.
Scott explained to the hunting creeps about the car in the ditch. They made creepy remarks. Cheryl seized upon their theory that they were eloping. Scott told them the police were looking for them so they should move along. The hunting creeps shuffled off. Scott and Cheryl noticed something wrong with the fireplace and rushed outside.
Cass distracted Vince when he noticed Cheryl wasn't about. He asked him to be fair about Mary. He told him to think of Kathleen and advised him to not to dwell on past wrongs. He was so vehement that on his way out the door he told Ada Vince probably wouldn't let him come to the wedding either. Ada told him Scott and Cheryl hadn't been seen all day.
The chimney is blocked. Cheryl got into the sleeping bag. Scott assured her he'd get her back in time for Kathleen's wedding. She suggested he get warm too.
Mitch found out from Jeanette that Rachel had gone for a drive on Bayview Blvd. Sinister significance?
Michael surprised a nervous Donna in her bedroom. She took fits. She denied being afraid. She begged him to go away. He said he wouldn't leave until she admitted that Reginald had threatened to kill him. He yelled at her until she sobbed and admitted it. He comforted her. He assured her Reginald wouldn't win. He reminded her he [Reginald] had lost Mary. She said it had made him angry. He told her he loved her and she could be free. He asked her to marry him. She lapsed into the vocative. (O Michael, o Michael.) The phone rang.
MJ assured Kathleen that Scott and Cheryl were fine and she was doing everything possible.
Rachel thought about agreeing to go off with Mitch so long ago. Mitch tracked her down and said, "reliving old memories?"
Donna dithered and wouldn't answer sensibly until Michael answered the phone. It was Miss McGee. She teased him about answering the private line in Donna Love's bedroom so late at night. He told her to leave Donna out of this. She pestered him with questions about famous women he had known (Fergie, Cybill Shepherd, Jackie O, etc. Yuck.) NO COMMENT. He told her he never wanted anything to do with her again. This seemed to amuse her. She seems to think he'll be seeing a lot of her from now on. He hung up and resumed his pleading with Donna. After a long and fruitful siege he got her screaming yes at the top of her lungs.
Scott told Cheryl the story of Margarita and Enrico and the waterfall. Ghostly jungle lovers from opposing families. He told her he'd lived in Bay City until he was four but her mother was his mother regardless of the adoption. She noticed him shivering and insisted he get in the sleeping bag.
Rachel and Mitch are at their old apartment. She never gave up the lease for business reasons, not sentiment. He refused to believe her. He brought up the good memories of their love. She took off.
Cheryl and Scott are not in any hospital. Cass was the recipient of a lot of icy stares when he offered to check Lookout Point in case the babes had gone parking. Jamie brought MJ in and they enlisted his help.
Scott feels warmer in the sleeping bag. This is the second time they've been to bed together. Scott said they should admit to being more than just friends and brave Vince's wrath by Seeing each other.
Michael and Donna went to bed. God's in his heaven, etc. Michael said he was so happy she wasn't afraid any more.
