ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

May 6, 1988

I'm blaming the writers' strike. This is very irritating. Vicky's confrontation with the welfare people took place offscreen and now she has Mikey at home and is keeping him amused with party favours. Adam accused her of using Mikey to get close to Jamie.

Mitch, Rachel, and Amanda helped Sam home. Mitch told Sam Felicia wouldn't commission his paintings if she didn't like them. Sam looked depressed, seeing everyone so eager for him to paint again.

Drew is being followed. Cass and Michael conferred when their women were not present. Michael went to kiss his ex goodbye before the wedding.

Matthew dropped by Amanda's with a joke book. Laughter, the best medicine. The jokes were juvenile. Mitch and Matthew rushed off to talk.

Vicky ordered Adam out. She told him about her horrible childhood. He apologized. She has decided to use her clout to keep Mikey. Mikey chattered incessantly. Adam was actually fairly nice. Vicky put Mikey down for his nap. Adam ran into Amanda on his way out. She was cool to him. Vicky appeared. Adam left. Amanda asked how anyone could be so rotten as to take advantage of the problems between Jamie and Lisa. Vicky couldn't imagine. Suddenly she freaked out about the wedding and said she couldn't go.

Matthew professed himself ready to tell all. Mitch told him to go ahead.

Vicky realized she couldn't leave Mikey and she couldn't take him. Amanda volunteered to have him. Mikey ran out of the bedroom. Amanda took him. Vicky prepared to leave.

Kevin's sister had worked at the Red Lion, a coffee shop on campus. Tad Benton had offered to walk her home and had attacked her. Matthew and Kevin had come across them and Kevin had pushed Tad off the bluff. What a stupid story. Tad and his friends are harassing Kevin. Mitch said Matthew should tell Rachel. [Matthew claims that he couldn't tell because Tracy was a townie girl and no one would believe she hadn't gone to the bluff willingly, or something. Yeesh.]

Donna found John wandering in dead baby park. It was all in bloom. She apologized about the best man deal. He shrugged it off. He escorted her back to the house. Cass wandered in and picked a white tulip, which he presented to Nicole. He asked about her date with Drewski. He riled her talking about Drew as a snake. When he shut up about it she relaxed. Kissing.

Rachel and Amanda played with Mikey. Mitch came in. Sam suggested he and Amanda take Mikey back across the hall to accustom him to Vicky's. Rachel and Mitch chatted about children. Mitch assured Rachel Matthew would open up soon.

Violinists crowded dead baby park, playing Fascination. Clara asked to talk to Donna. Michael took her to the house. Vicky appeared. She giggled with Nicole about their surprise. Cass and Nicole headed for the house. Vicky needled John. He called for a truce. She agreed to one for today. She ran into Lisa and was unsurprised to hear Adam had persuaded her to come. Lisa said they had to settle something. Lisa thinks Vicky doesn't care about anyone but herself. She told her she knew she'd slept with Jamie but she wasn't giving him up. Vicky laughed. Lisa said she could fight just as hard as Vicky.

Sam asked Mitch to fill in for him at Lamaze classes. Mitch suggested he ask Amanda how she felt. He handed Sam a glass of water. Sam missed it.

Michael caught Donna in her dress ahead of time. Nicole and Vicky caught them kissing. They told them they had a surprise. Marley stepped out from behind a shrub and was unfolded in her parents' arms instantly. The show got on the road. Lisa was embarrassed seeing how intimate the ceremony was. Vicky walked in beaming. Marley came next, then Nicole. Then Cass walked Donna up and turned her over to Michael.

Mitch insisted Sam tell him what the matter was. Sam admitted he was having secret vision problems. Mitch insisted he see a doctor. Amanda brought Mikey in. She said Sam wouldn't miss a single Lamaze class. Mitch fled.

Lisa imagined marrying Jamie. She smiled at him. Vicky's imagination was much more expensive looking. Grand, you know.

Sam and Amanda put Mikey in their bed and whispered about their baby. Sam looked tearful.

Matthew told Rachel what he'd told Mitch. Rachel was pleased. Matthew tried to stop her calling the police.

Michael vowed at length. He pledged his life to Donna. Donna vowed. Both mentioned the dead baby tree. Donna mentioned grandchildren to whom they could show the tree. They were married. Michael swung Donna around in his arms. She cheered. How unseemly. How unDonna.
