ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

May 6, 1986

Donna went to Michael's room to straighten things out. He said he didn't want to talk and went to take a shower. She said she'd wait. "SUIT YOURSELF," said he. "By the way, when you're going through my drawers, match my socks for me, will you?"

Vince dropped in at home. Kathleen is making Irish soda bread for the reception.

A less foreign brunette dropped in on Cass. She offered him a lot of money. Enter Zane. Cass refused to buy encyclopaedias from the woman. She said he'd regret not taking her up on her offer and left. Zane said Felicia's car was in the ditch and he needed Cass' help to get it out. It's an emergency. They have to save the lives of four dozen little tiny cream puffs for the reception. Kathleen loves them. They are a surprise. Cass has to break their date and lie about rescuing four dozen little tiny cream puffs. I say "GAZOTSKAS."

Michael emerged from the shower and yelled at Donna for running peoples lives. He doesn't like what she's become. She insisted on telling him about life after he left. She said she hadn't meant to tell daddy about being pregnant but she was frightened. He said he'd take care of everything. She told him about the room beyond the wine cellar. Michael was appalled. She said she'd thought about him all the time while imprisoned. She said she was pushy in order to prevent being treated like that again.

Vince apologized for being so horrible about Cass. He misses Mary. He gave Kathleen Mary's wedding gloves. "nobody, not even the rain, had such small hands." Vince hates e. e. cummings but he sure knew Mary's hands. He wished Kathleen all happiness with what's-his-name.

Donna told Michael about not knowing about Victoria. She said she understood why he'd run away. He said he hadn't run away. Father Love had horsewhipped him in a rage. They agreed that daddy was insane. Donna suggested they forgive each other and him. NEVER said Michael. She asked him to dinner. He gave in.

Vince arrived at the bar & grill. He hates Ada's decoration. Rachel helped her pick prints. Mac introduced Rachel. Vince objected to flowers and plants and prints. Rachel was indignant. Mac fled. Ada sent Rachel home. Vince made nasty remarks about how they'd probably never waxed a floor in their lives. Rachel said she was staying to protect Vince.

Brittany accused Donna of having spent the night with Michael. Quoth Donna "I'm not in the mood for you, Brittany. Why don't you go an bore somebody else." Brittany said she thought they should get along for Peter's sake. Enter Peter and Chris. Peter's going to call the governor to speed up the appeal. Donna is determined to help Peter.

Zane took Cass to the Northwoods Inn. Cass was confused. He said they should call the police if Felicia was out on the road alone. Zane told him there might be a phone through that door. It revealed a bachelor party and belly dancers. Cass was thrilled.

Kathleen and MJ made Irish soda bread. Kathleen stood up. She feels hopeful.

MEN.

Michael and Donna feel they understand each other better now. She asked for a favour. She wants him to call the governor to help Peter. He refused to help run Peter's life. He said she sounded like her father and took her in to dinner. She said he was impossible. He called her pushy.

Vince conceded that the prints could have been worse. Rachel: that was almost cordial. Ada: the polyurethane fumes got to him. Rachel went home. Vince wants grandchildren. They did the floor. He told her about the place he used to take Mary. She told him about Nancy's father Gil. She painted herself into a corner.

Cass seems a little tipsy. He asked Wally not to tell Kathleen he'd ordered belly dancers. Wallingford: but I didn't. I just called rent-a-party and POOF! They just showed up. Like magic. Cass: what a thoughtful, caring organization. Wally: SO TRUE. They drank to Kathleen's continued good health. I think EVERYBODY is tipsy. Except perhaps Jake and Neal. The unforeign woman took pictures of Cass with a belly dancer on each knee. She was hiding, natch.

Michael had to turn in early. Donna's glad he came to dinner. They're getting along. Enter Brittany. Michael said goodnight and left. Brittany told Donna she made Peter happy. Donna said yes, until he found out the truth about the baby and then he'd throw her out and then they'd all be happy. Britt threatened to have her disinherited*. Enter Peter. Exit Donna. Peter said he decided to call the governor now. Britt cheered him on.

The bachelor party broke up. Everyone loves Kathleen. They refused to let Cass clean up. He is not fit to drive. They took him home. Wally examined the rent-a-party bill for two waiters, not four waitresses and belly dancers. So what's up?

The governor was won over. Britt's support means everything to Peter.

Vince helped Ada out. He offered to split a beer with her. Toast to cooperation.

The unforeign woman telephoned Cass. He refused to accept any money with strings attached. She said she hoped he'd enjoyed his party. He wondered how she'd known.

Kathleen decided to call Cass. MJ found an envelope outside the door. Kathleen made her show her the contents. The photographs of Cass and the belly dancers. Kathleen was not pleased.

* Are they suggesting that Peter controls the Love family money and Donna is a helpless dependent? And even if he did, Peter would have to die in order for Donna to benefit from any "inheritance". Or does Brittany mean that Donna will somehow retroactively be deprived of any inheritance she received at Father Love's death?
