Donna started up the car. Vince left Maisie working on the bar. A strange young man appeared.
Sally and Kevin made their way to the altar. He said his piece and went to sit with Aunt Liz. The minister waxed eloquent about marriage and said it was a pledge not to be taken lightly involving work & sacrifice. When he asked for just cause Brittany glanced at the door apprehensively.
Donna found Michael and told him she'd reconsidered and wasn't going back. He said she'd decided to cut her losses since it was already too late to stop the wedding. She was outraged and told him not to be judging her. He said he had a hard time with her thought processes. She gave him his keys and started trying to find her own way back. "I could die in these woods. It's going to be your fault. He told her not to be ridiculous. He got fed up and picked her up.
Gary introduced himself and said in a sinister fashion that Maisie was a nice name. He asked for work and wouldn't take no for an answer. She was pleased. He closed the door in an equally sinister fashion.
Bridget was concerned about Victoria and told her she'd been unhappy with Jake as well as without. Vic stopped being flippant for once and assured her she was over Jake. Left alone with Marley's honeymoon lingerie however she said it was a pity that there wouldn't be a honeymoon.
Catlin: I had all these things prepared to say. I MEMORIZED them. But the preacher stole all of my lines. He said he loved Sally and always had from the first moment. He vowed a bunch of other stuff which we need not go into. It's fairly obvious. Sally vowed similar things. They took turns vowing other more usual stuff. Larry found the ring box empty. Kevin rushed out of his pew. Larry followed. Sally and Catlin were left standing around with nothing to say. In a couple of seconds Catlin basely deserted her and plunged headlong down the aisle after the others. Sally was forced to make conversation to entertain the crowd.
Michael found he had a flat tire and yelled at Donna. She disclaimed all knowledge and said if she'd wanted to drive back to Bay City a flat tire wouldn't have stopped her. He apologized. He told her she was going to learn how to change a tire. She protested.
Gary told Maisie how wonderful she and her accent and her smile was. She asked him to help her sand the bar. He removed something from her hair and moved on to the topics of how she felt and her eyes. She was made nervous. He attacked her. Vince came back.
The Ewings helped Kevin retrace his steps. They found the ring in the washroom and returned to the patient bride. The ceremony was wound up properly to much applause.
Gary told Vince that Maisie had "wanted it." Vince yelled at him and threw him out. Gary fled. [Vince isn't that scary. Ye gods.] Vince told Maisie a pretty girl like her had to be careful. I feel ill. He said she was too naïve.
Catlin and Sally danced. A lot of people followed suit. Dee felt sorry for herself. Ada told Nancy she had to pull her weight like Jake. She rushed to the restaurant to help maisy and Vince. Zane told Cass he had a telephone call from a Frenchwoman on the line. Cass didn't tell Kathleen. MJ reassured her. Cass told Zane he hadn't told Kathleen because the woman was his travel agent and it was a surprise. He told the woman he'd torn up the ticket to Marrakech. She said she'd take him another one. He said to tell their friend he'd be married in a few days.
Victoria was strict with her wayward parents. She made insinuations about how they had spent the night. Sherri called. Donna told her Michael wasn't there. He refused cocktails. He said he might have to go to Europe tonight. Exit Michael. Vic asked impertinent questions. Donna denied all allegations. She said she'd learned a lot about Michael and she had her work cut out for her. She's going to change him. Her enthusiasm about changing a tire was charming. She raved about plug nuts and watchamallits [hubcaps]. Vic told her they were lug nuts. No P. Donna filed this away.
Larry said swell things about Sally. She threw her bouquet which landed in Kathleen's lap. Liz distributed rice and Catlin and Sally said their goodbyes and made a run for it. [No flaming haystacks for THEM.] Nancy and Chris made conversation. He told her Peter was trying to appeal for him and they may have a chance. She told him to celebrate with Victoria. Her hostility surprised him. He said he'd had a couple of casual dates with Vicky, c'est tout. Casual EVERYTHING with Vicky she said darkly before muttering things about deception to Dee and refusing to talk to Marley. Marley and Jake can't figure out why Nancy is so strange. Cass told Kathleen he had to go and do work at home so they couldn't hang out together. She was disappointed. He said he loved her. Zane stopped him and suggested they come over after the reception. Cass said he had to keep his travel agent from ruining his life.
Donna said Michael trusted her. He called to yell at her for telling Sherri he wasn't there. He said it was flattering but dumb.
Ada told Maisie about the wedding. She said Kathleen had improved Casss. Vince laughed mirthlessly a lot.
Cass found a foreign woman in his living room. She left a plane ticket and left. He yelled after her that it wouldn't work.
