Donna stomped around singing about the Chapel of Love. She found Michael in her bedroom with a rose. He led her down the road to future happiness.
The killer fiddled with a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows. Mother commented on his sweet tooth and said he had a busy day ahead.
Vince dropped by Mary's to put extra locks on her door. She snapped at him.
Michael whisked Donna downstairs. People are gathering for a wedding toast. Nicole welcomed Scott and Cheryl and had them sit next to each other.it was soon apparent that that had not been a good idea. Michael took Scott aside and asked him what was going on. Scott told him that Cheryl was unreasonable. Cheryl told her side to the women. When Scott came back she bugged him about Trish.
Mary thanked Vince for the locks. She asked if he'd paid the rent on Mary's Place. He asked why she kept asking that. She produced the deed to the building and explained what had happened. She told him smugly she was his landlady.
Chad bugged MJ about Linda's black book. He told her she couldn't do anything without breaking the code. She tried to ignore him. He brought up her family. She told him if he did anything to hurt anyone she'd tell everyone she used to turn tricks for him. He said he was going to start being nice to someone in her family. She guessed it was Cheryl.
Peter and Peggy woke up in bed together. This is a mutually agreeable partnership.
Scott and Cheryl sniped at each other. [Speaking of sniping, I miss Perry.] The doorbell rang. [Michael: sotto voce I hope that's somebody in a good mood.] It was Adam to get the ring. [oh, best-manning.] Michael lured him out into the hall to be alone. He asked what he knew about the killer. Adam said "a lot" in such a droll way. He told him in better detail what he knew and said Donna should be safe, being respectably married.
The killer looked at a newspaper story about the illegitimate twins.
Vince said That Old Carrot must have bought the building to make trouble between them. Zack and Quinn arrived to take Mary to the toast. Mary thought an attorney was a good idea.
Peter said he had to go to Donna's wedding and suggested that Peggy helped him get his charges dropped. She said she'd try to get the charges reduced. Peter said he'd investigated her background and found she had come from a low background and moved away and changed her name. She explained about Lazarus in the Bible. He offered to help her socially. She told him she didn't want Reginald involved. She went to change for the wedding.
Scott offered to give Cheryl a ride. She refused. Adam heard vague murmurings about a ride and offered to take Cheryl himself. They left. A lot of orchids arrived. Donna and Michael were left alone. Marley phoned from Minneapolis to say there was too much snow for her and Victoria to continue. Donna said she wouldn't have the wedding without them. Michael said he was sorry but there would be a wedding regardless. Donna was cowed. Michael chased her through the house and kissed her when he caught her. Michael's mother is too sick to come but they're going to visit her after the honeymoon.
The killer hid in a wardrobe in the church in Donna's dressing room.
Mary and Vince argued. Quinn: are all your clients like this? Zack: most of them. [I'm not even certain what the argument's about.]
Nicole and Felicia fussed with flowers in Donna's dressing room. Matt came in and said he was supposed to read something from the Bible for the ceremony. They gave him Donna's childhood Bible with the page marked. Mother Love gave it to her for confirmation. Mac was called away for a phone call. He left the Bible. When Felicia and Nicole left the room for a minute the killer crept out of the wardrobe and changed the marked passage in the Bible [to the "all wickedness" part, I'll bet]. They came back looking for pew bouquets. Nicole was unable to open the wardrobe. Felicia found them and they left.
Cheryl and Scott were civil to each other. He admired her dress. Felicia and Nicole set them to work decorating pews. Peggy arrived without Peter. Mary arrived and was taken to change. Trish crashed and draped herself all over Scott. Zack and Quinn arrived. She said she wasn't going to get married.
Nicole and Mary are friends. Mac dropped by for the Bible. Donna arrived with Bridget in a state of excitement. Everyone laughed to see her so worked up. [Bridget even made a crack about what was under the kilt.] Donna was outfitted with the old new borrowed and blue. The Bible, a handkerchief from the McKinnon women, something I forget, and a garter. They left Donna alone to get ready. The killer peered out through the crack of the door.
Adam and MJ whispered about their own wedding. He left her sitting with Cheryl who bitched about Trish and Scott. Mac told Michael he couldn't possibly want him to say "all wickedness". Michael and Adam took notice.
The killer crept out of the wardrobe, masked. Donna caught sight of him in her mirror and screamed.
Michael and Adam raced to Donna's aid.
