Both Scott and Cheryl were distressed.
Nancy shivered and said she wanted Tony.
Tony looked at Greg pointedly. Greg attacked him. Adam broke it up with Peter's help. Tony said he'd seen the man in a dark overcoat and followed him to Tops, where he ran into Adam, who didn't see the killer. Josie tinkled over to Adam and said she was frightened. He soothed her.
Scott and Cheryl argued. They made very little sense.
Nancy sobbed. Rachel said she had to stay in the Cory Romance. It is a mystery how the killer got in if indeed the window was locked and Tony is not it.
Mitch said Chad had been missing from the party for long enough to have gone to Mary's Place to attack Nancy. Adam took notice.
Cheryl fed policemen. Vince returned. The police advised him to install a security system. Trish wandered in looking for Scott. Cheryl told her he was all hers.
Michael phoned Donna with the news about the killer. MJ arrived at Tops in time to see Adam bugging Chad. Chad said he'd left Mary's Place at 7:30 [too early]. Adam finished with him and Chad walked past MJ, who didn't answer when he said "you don't believe I did this, do you?" Adam admired his nice dark overcoat when he put it on. Adam found out that Greg, Peter, and Dave had been out before 8:00. Dave said he'd wanted to marry Maisie. The reason he was out of the room for so long was he was in the bathroom feeling unwell. Greg had gone down to get his keys from his coat in his car and he said he'd come up in the elevator alone long before Tony dashed in, but no one noticed him. Peter said he'd gone to his office and tried to reach his father in Paraguay without success. Adam demanded to see all their overcoats. They are all dark.
Trish told Chad Cheryl was probably sulking her head off at the gazebo. He appreciated it.
Scott told Greg Cheryl had returned him his ring. Greg empathized and left. Michael thanked Mitch for the party. Tony found out from MJ that Nancy was at the Corys' and left. Adam suspects him.
A lot of men arrived at the Corys' to get their womenfolk. Rachel made Michael tell them who the suspects were. Ada loudly denounced the suspicion of Greg. Nicole and Donna said Peter couldn't be a killer.
Cheryl started when Chad snuck up on her. He reassured her. He put his hands on her shoulders and comforted her. She asked who had told him she was upset. He said MJ had and he didn't know who had told her. She asked him to stay. He made her wear his coat to keep warm. She told him her life needed direction and maybe modeling wasn't such a bad idea.
Trish tracked Scott to Tops and tried to comfort him. He said he wanted to be alone and ordered another beer. Mitch said he'd had enough. Trish said she'd take him home. Wallingford asked Mitch who he thought the killer was. Mitch said he didn't know but he wouldn't put anything past Peter. Actually they have reasons to suspect every one of the suspects.
Everyone left the Corys' except the Corys and the Gradys. Tony phoned to check up on Nancy. He said he'd die if anything happened to her.
Adam really likes Tony for the suspect. Then again there's the Lappa guy Tony turned up. He tried to find out if the note on Tony's desk had gone through the mailroom.
Vince and Mary and Ada were distressed when they couldn't find Cheryl. Chad brought her back in one piece and said he hadn't thought it was a good idea for her to be walking around alone. They were severely suspicious. When Chad left Cheryl's parents yelled at her. She went into the dining room and saw Trish leading Scott upstairs.
Peter went home and phoned Lazarus to talk about a partnership. He said he'd pick her up. His sisters returned. He assured them he hadn't killed anyone although he'd hated Brittany. He said Donna had too. He said he didn't hate women. They just LOOKED at him. He left. Michael came in. They're looking forward to the wedding.
The gloved one looked at news of the wedding and stamped a note.
Tony comforted Nancy. The big five suspects are not the only ones possible. Jamie insisted on taking Felicia and Lisa home.
Adam found the mailroom hadn't handled any Tony-mail. He ordered any information on Tony dug up.
Trish removed Scott's shirt. He laughed foolishly and told her she was a Bad Girl. She told him he had to get rest. He said that was boring and insisted on dancing until they fell down on the bed. Then he was surprised to see her. She put him to bed and told him she'd be there if he needed her. He fell asleep. When she saw Cheryl's feet come up to the door she started up a monologue specially constructed to make it sound as if something were going on. Cheryl went away. Trish kissed Scott's forehead and left. Cheryl wept and threw herself into Vince's arms. She told him Scott hadn't waited and he didn't love her.
Michael and Donna look forward to tomorrow.
The killer stamped an envelope for Donna.
